Washington: "Rehab ... Was Just Some Crap"

Former Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington has lashed out at ABC, other cast members of the show, and the television industry in general, blaming his firing on racism and double standards. "I apologized and showed my remorse for what I said [calling a gay cast member a "f****t"] and for the pain I caused anyone," Washington told Newsweek in an interview appearing on its website today (Friday). "If a black man can't get forgiveness in this country, when so many other people like Robert Downey Jr. and the governor of California get second and third chances ... I think that says a lot about race and this country where we stand." He said that the network's decision to send him to rehab after he used the offensive term was an attempt at "reprogramming" him. "There is no rehab for homophobia -- that was just some crap being put out by the network," he told the magazine." I went into an executive counseling program which many people in this industry know about and go to. They knew what the program was but chose to call it what they wanted to fit their agenda."

Yeah, blame everyone but yourself, Isaiah. Really mature.

I really reeeaaallly don't want George to leave Callie for Izzie. That's so Disney Channel to have best friends fall in love with either just because ones a boy and ones a girl. I think George and Izzie would have been nice earlier on, but now... he's married! I'm not too crazy about Callie, but George made a commitment. He's ready to back out now, after what six months? Come on!

I don't think networks will ever learn, cheating does not equal ratings. Cheating equals cranky people.

I totally agree, only I'll go further. I DO like Callie, I love Callie. She's very real. She's beautiful. She's got guts and heart and I wanna see her punch Izzie out! I love Katherine, but I don't often like Izzie. Well, I liked her with Denny. I also think this storyline is ridiculous.

And now I have to email TeeJay and tell her not to read this thread till she watches the ep. LOL!

I just watched it. Not sure what to think. I like Izzie with George, but not when he's married to Callie. Also not sure what to think about Lexi. This could make for some interesting stories, though. As to the break-up sex... No. I hate this on/off thing. Make up your mind, Meredith!

Oh, and hear this: Justin Chambers with longer hair and face fuzz? No. Shave, man! Both.
