I just realized I was thinking about the baby "actor" and not the baby in the story. Man, sometimes I really have trouble disconnecting my hyper-awareness of actors and just feeling the story.

I have three ideas:
1) the kid's just a crier and started bawling the minute he left home and got buckled in his car seat.
2) they taught him very well and gave him a cookie everytime he cried... so he cries, and gets a cookie. I feel bad for his parents if that's the case.
