Someone on IMDB was asking about a character named Adrian Jones, so I looked up who played him and it's Frank Cassavettes.
So I googled for pictures and found this one with him, Emile & Chris at the Sundance Film Festival.
I looked up in your gallery and didn't see it. So I'll post the pic here as well as the link. If you've seen it already, then no biggie.

Nice find! Thanks so much, Illinois. We don't have that pic yet. I've never seen it. Cute. I added it to our gallery.

Nice. There's a few in among those that I've never seen. Let me see which ones I can snag for our gallery that are not already there. I think I've seen all the Flickr ones. Those from Nina Marie are in our gallery after she gave permission to use them.

Okay, I had a quick look at the pics, but there is nothing new I can spot. Except maybe I am mixing up the GND premiere pics. Sometimes I think I have seen thousands of them. LOL

I think there's one where he points to Emile's mouth that I hadn't seen before. But maybe you have seen it somewhere else.

Not sure how legit these DVD covers are, but thought I'd post them.

Region 4

Ok, just did a UPC search for the first 3 and the only legit one is the Italian one.
The other two UPC#s are for Shaun of the Dead (UK) and Wild Hogs (Australia). The extras on the last one also seem to point to being fake.
Can anyone translate what the Italian one says on the back cover including the extras?

I've never learned Italian, but it's a little similar to French. I can't translate the text for you, but it's a summary of the movie plot. Alpha Dog tells the story of a drug dealer Johnny Truelove... and so on.
Babelfish translates the Italian text as:
Taking inspiration from facts really happened Alpha Dog it tells the history of Johnny Truelove, a drug dealer that is found again been involved in a situation that slowly escapes it of hand. Johnny meets with Jake Mazursky for a drug debit and with its gang abducts Zack, the brother of Jake, with the idea to hold it in hostage until when it does not see again its money. With passing of the time, Johnny begins to fear of having to pass the rest of its life behind the slabs for abduction, therefore, in the deprived of hope attempt of distraction whichever association with the completed crime, it commits nth error. But this will not make other that to get worse the situation.
While that is just bad English, I think you get the idea.
The special features are listed as:
Dietro le quinte (Behind the scenes)
Intervista al regista Nick Cassavetes (Interview with director Nick C.)
Intervista a Justin Timberlake (Interview with Justin)
Intervista a Sharon Stone ((Interview with Sharon)
Intervista a Emile Hirsch (Interview with Emile)
Intervista a Anton Yelchin (Interview with Anton)
Intervista a Ben Foster (Interview with Ben)
Intervista a Shawn Hatosy (Interview with Shawn)
Trailer originale (Original trailer)
So, what are these interviews?? Maybe something done specifically for Italy?

Nick Cassavettes related:
He starred in an episode of Matlock.
Well, the season that he appears in has been announced for DVD release.
Can't copy and paste from tvshowsondvd.com, but here is the link.

Stolen Boy: Producer Michael Mehas Saving the Life of Jesse James Hollywood with True Story
Pam Vetter
January 12, 2008Film producer Michael Mehas is attempting to save the life of Jesse James Hollywood, who is charged with the murder of 15-year-old Nicholas Markowitz of West Hills, California.
Mehas has written a book, "Stolen Boy," based on the case. The book is now attracting attention nationwide.
Controversy swirls around the murder of the young innocent Markowitz every time the case is mentioned. The case has been featured on national news, television shows, and in a feature film.
The abduction took place by Lazy J Park in West Hills. The murder took place in Santa Barbara.
If Hollywood is found guilty of the murder, many local residents who lived in fear after the crime feel death should be the punishment. In fact, capital punishment was also the preference of the Markowitz family who lost their young teen to a senseless crime.
But, Mehas is now standing in the way.
Mehas served as associate producer on the movie inspired by the case, "Alpha Dog," starring Justin Timberlake, Bruce Willis and Sharon Stone. During his research, Mehas obtained the entire confidential file from the prosecution of Hollywood's four co-defendants. He also interviewed most of the real-life characters and the accrued information has become critical to both sides in the case.
Meanwhile, Hollywood sits in jail in Santa Barbara awaiting trial for murder.
Hollywood enjoyed his freedom for nearly five years following the crime, but he was eventually arrested in Brazil and returned to Santa Barbara where the murder took place after Markowitz was abducted near his West Hills home in August of 2000.
Mehas is adamant that he finds himself in this position only by default.
"I'm not interfering with the judicial system. I'm trying to help save a kid's life. I didn't ask to be subpoenaed," Mehas explained. "The death penalty is wrong. It is truly against our nature as human beings to want to kill each other. Let's change the world. Instead of acting through revenge, hatred, and death, let's work through love, compassion, and joy. Jesse was concerned about going to prison and how to protect his family. Whatever he ultimately did, he operated out of a place of fear."
Mehas claims the victim's brother, Ben Markowitz, scared Jesse.
"I believe Jesse had only been arrested for disorderly conduct prior to this. He was arrogant but he wasn't a killer. He made a mistake in the decision making process which was hampered by drug use and alcohol. I know what his thought processes were. Jesse knows what he did wrong. Jesse may have been an arrogant punk, but he shouldn't die for this tragedy," Mehas added. "Ben Markowitz had vandalized Jesse's house. He threatened him and his family. Jesse's dog was found dead in his yard and he believes Ben did that. Ben was very angry, at the time, and filled with hatred."
Mehas cites poor parenting skills for enabling the situation to escalate to murder.
"Poor parenting is responsible for the machinery that led to this hatred between Jesse and Ben. While I have love and respect for Susan and Jeff Markowitz, they made mistakes with Ben and prevented him from having a meaningful relationship with his brother. Ben lived on the street and became angry. He terrorized Jesse," Mehas explained. "Jesse's father, Jack, also admits he made mistakes in creating an arrogant son. Ill emotions carried over to these kids. These were two middle-class families. The kids were unforgiving. Families need compassion. They need to be willing to forgive. We need communication, and honestly, it's never too late for a family to come together."
The book, "Stolen Boy," is professional, thought provoking, well-written, and an intriguing read, but names remain fictitious in the book.
"No real names because there are two boys' lives that are still at stake. Another one is appealing his life sentence. I didn't feel comfortable using the real names. I didn't want to contribute to conviction or harm the appellate process. By fictionalizing my book, I came closer to the truth. "
For the parents of Nicholas Markowitz, the pain continues.
"I last spoke with them the night of the premiere of 'Alpha Dog.' But I received a very nice e-mail from Susan this past summer, and she asked for a signed copy of my book. They've expressed that justice to them is death. I care very much about what they feel, but I also believe the death penalty is wrong. The information the prosecutor wants from me is to be used to bring death to Jesse, not to exonerate him. My goal is to eliminate the death penalty. If the prosecution drops the death penalty, I'd consider cooperating with them," Mehas added. "My goal with the book is to clarify the facts and bring truth to everyone about the dangers to families and children with hateful situations like this. Nobody benefits from this. But, I want to give hope for families who face similar circumstances. Communication and compassion are key."

*Michael Mehas will make an appearance for discussion and signing of his critically acclaimed novel, "Stolen Boy," at a Ventura book store. Mehas has been named a "Star" author by his publisher, iUniverse.
"Author Day" will take place on Saturday, January 19th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Ventura Barnes & Noble, located at 4820 Telephone Road, Ventura.
Joining Michael Mehas will be an amazing collection of authors who will each present and sign copies of their own books on fiction, mystery, and more. They include: Mary Embree (The Birds and Bees of Words), Diana M. Raab (Regina's Closet), Sara Dale (A Little Night Music), Catherine Ann Jones (The Way of Story), and Anne Carter (Point Surrender).

I read another article a little while back about Mehas and his book, and all I can say about this guy is that he comes off as sooooooo slimy I just wanna run the other way. I know he's a good friend of Big Nick and all, but he just seems to be thrilled with the spotlight being on him over this case. And he's obviously very self-aggrandizing. He thinks his opinion of the case is more important than that of the judicial system and the parents of the victim. And who is he? Just another failed actor who turned to writing when he didn't wanna get a real job.

I don't know remember ever seeing this page before. What about you guys?
http://www.bebo.com/Profile.jsp?MemberId=4807358511
Very interesting, if for nothing else than pics of the actors side by side with the real people they played. Graham Pressley, the guy Chris's character Keith is based on is out of prison now and he has a Myspace page. I don't think he would appreciate a bunch of Marquette fans stalking him there though, so I won't post a link to it. I will say this, remember how Chris said he was like a genius and on his way to an ivy league school before getting sidetracked in pursuit of the party? That's for real. His blogs are so incredibly well written they blew me away. He should write a book!
In case some of you never read the AD boards at IMDb, you might be interested to know that Susan Markowitz, the victim's mother says that Pressley is the only one of those guys she has any sympathy for. He was wrong for what he did and didn't do and deserved to go to jail, but he was also in a situation that was beyond his control, and way over his head. And his life was also threatened. But mainly, I think she feels less animosity toward him because he understands and admitted in open court what role he played and he is sorry for it. None of those other guys could give a fuck.
