Re: Birthday Thread

Sorry for the delay, and thank you all for your birthday wishes. I had a great day until ... you know what ... happened.
I got an illuminated globe (that was one thing I really wanted to have), new towels (for my apartment, a book about housekeeping and a book about cooking, a necklace and an alarm clock. Oh, and table maths.

And ... the most important present: My own Drool Book! Thank you so much, Tina!:hug::hug::grovel:

Re: Birthday Thread

LOL. So glad you liked your present. I can show the pics to everyone if you want. I still have the design here on Rove for when I put it together.

Re: Birthday Thread

The only thing is, you cannot see the "D" because it's printed too dark. But that's okay. You can see it if the light is reflected in a special way. Uhm. You know what I mean, right? wink

Re: Birthday Thread

Yeah, I know what you mean. But it didn't look like that when I designed it. Which is why I thought it didn't turn out quite as nicely as I thought. Let me post it how it looked when I was designing it..

Re: Birthday Thread

Well, Deb was bragging about it when she got hers for her birthday and now that Anne has hers too, I guess we can finally post some pics. Because both Deb and Anne got what I called their own "Drool Books" from me for their birthdays. Basically, it's a custom-made book that I had printed. It's square, about 8 x 8 inches. And it's got a soft cover, kinda like a paperback. And this is Anne's book. Deb chose different pictures to go with hers, so some pages are the same, and some are different in Deb's book.

Re: Birthday Thread

Dude, like I said, it's completely okay. I assumed that you didn't design it like that. And I work in print business, remember? I know that something like this can happen. I love that book! I am finally able to drool in bed without keeping Cooper running! LOL

Re: Birthday Thread

You know, I bet there's some pics in there a lot of you have never seen before.  Some Fanboys stuff we have not yet released.  Anne's book is just as awesome as mine.  And you guys need to understand that when TeeJay says they're like paperback books, the ARE paperback books.  Just as good as what you'd go buy at the store, totally professional.  And this is exactly the kind of thing I always wanted as a fan --- a book of just my guy.

TeeJay simply kicks copious amounts of ass, what can I say?   :applause:

Re: Birthday Thread

Deb's book is very similar. To show it to you, I'd have to make a screencap of every page and save it, unfortunately the design program only lets you save it in their own format that you won't be able to open (unless you have that special software). I don't have my own book. I made Anne's and Deb's before x-mas when things were crazy at work. I only just had enough time to finish these two, and even them I would have liked to have more time for.

Re: Birthday Thread

I think we have the software on Jean-Luc (my parents' comp). My dad designed a book like that once too, after my parents went to Turkey last October. I could try to open it there.

Re: Birthday Thread

I'm sure there's tons of different softwares and each one probably has its own format. I have the Schlecker one, called Schlecker Foto-Digital-Service. And I'd have to e-mail you all of the photos Deb chose too, otherwise all you're gonna see is an empty book. And the photos have to be in the right folder, otherwise the software won't find them. It's really quite complicated. You really want me to e-mail you all that?

Re: Birthday Thread

My Dad has the Schlecker one too. But maybe it's enough when you show me what pictures are different, I'm interested to see where the books differ.

Re: Birthday Thread

I agree totally, Soph.  I think I have more Huff in my drool book than in Anne's.  His first appearance, in the long sleeved blue shirt is probably the sexiest Chris has ever looked on film.

Oh, don't do that to me! I just took a shower. I might have to take another one now after seeing those again.. *fans myself* He was just the epitome of sexiness on the show. He made smoking look way hot, but I'm still not going to smoke though-- "big fan of the lungs" ;P
