We might get to see AD in April, if the Swiss release date I found wasn't complete bogus. TI in June, yeah. Well, the waiting is gonna suck, but there ain't nothing we can do, right? I've pretty much given up on seeing anything new with Chris in it before summer of next year. If it's that kind of patience it takes, then I guess I'll have to accept that. Maybe we'll get TI and/or AD on DVD fairly soon, like in spring '07. That might be something to look forward to, even though it's not the same than seeing him on the big screen. But unless I fly to the US for one of his movies, I guess we'll pretty much always have the US DVD earlier than the German theater release.
You know, like he would do a TV role just for us..... Yeah, right....

Next time we talk to Tisha, we should discuss this with her. Maybe she can help twist his arm a little. It's worth a shot.

Here's my thinking: the last time anyone saw something new from him was Huff, waaaaaaay back at the beginning of this year. Now, the next time anyone will see anything is the beginning of next year, provided AD doesn't get slapped with another court-ordered delay. That's a mighty long time. As unfair as it is, we've already watched his fan base slowly seep away ever since JoA went off the air.
He's still getting a lot of work and that's great. But working in indies cannot be the entire focus of a career. You have to keep up a profile somehow --- keep your name and face out there so people don't forget you. Obviously, we never would because we're diehards. But I bet there would be a lot more of us if only there was some thought about taking the occasional TV guest role just for exposure. I can't believe his management isn't thinking that way at all. Frustrating the hell out of your fans is no way to run a career.

I don't know, somehow I get the vibe that Chris is more into acting as something he loves than something he wants to be successful with. Tisha said that he does realize it's a career as well as something he loves, but I don't think his main focus is booking parts that make him more famous. Yeah, a good agent or manager would probably advise him on being more present onscreen than once every year, but I guess it's still his ultimate decision which parts he's gonna do. I just can't see him doing anything in that he's not convinced about. Although.... if I may mention the New York thing we recently heard about (sorry to be so secretive, we're not allowed to share at this point)...
But no one would be happier to see him do a TV role or two in the not too distant future than me! Maybe you could mention something to Tisha some time. We shouldn't bombard her with too many mails, though. Anne was gonna send hers soon as well.

Nobody's bombarding anybody. And I'm not suggesting that he should pursue fame. But of course he wants to be successful in his chosen field. Who doesn't? I'm just saying keep the damn profile up. Take that killer ER role when it comes along. The we'll shut the hell up and wait for the movies.

Well, I've answered pretty much every of her e-mails that she wrote to me, so she might have gotten three or four mails from me this week. And those from you. I didn't mean to say we were sending too many e-mails, but we're three people and she's just one person. I can totally hold off on the mailing for a day or two if you wanna go ahead and write. I'm overcomplicating this. Maybe I should just shut my gob and let this thing run its course.
And, yeah, I'll totally shup up if Chris gives us a TV role. How long did we hang on to Huff? Weeks at least. We need something like that again. Maybe something where's he really gonna go older and darker. Like being a villain on Medium or something.

I only sent her two emails, like about Monday or Tuesday, so she's not hearing too much from me. I figured it best not to bug her until I actually had something to say or ask. We certainly don't want to wear out our welcome.
But I was thinking, wonder if she knows TBO might be playing Sundance, or that Fanboys has been delayed again...

Well, one good Fanboys related thing to report, TriggerStreet has an interview up with the movie's music supervisor, Michelle Kuznetsky. You can watch it here:

Just watched it. It was interesting, although I had some problems to understand it. They didn't tell anything about the movie though.

Thanks for the link. Here's what's going on in that interview. First of all, Michelle explains what a music supervisor does, which is (and this may come as a surprise) supervise all the music that will be on a movie or TV show. Well, it's also about hiring people who take care of the music, from composer to editor, and meeting the diretor's needs and all of that. This guy's asking very general questions, nothing specific about Fanboys. A lot of stuff about licensing. BOOOORING! That was all, Fanboys was only mentioned once, and it was not more than the title.
Also, I'll e-mail Tisha tomorrow about Sundance and Fanboys.

Yeah, the licensing stuff was kinda boring, but it was interesting to learn what music supervisors do.

Here's a funny coincidence: The guy who dubbed Chris in German on JoA and GND also dubbed Sam Huntington in the CSI:NY episode he was in. And not only that, he also dubbed Sam in Superman Returns. Seems to be Ian Somerhalder's voice too for the last few things he's done in addition to Lost. Oh, and I thought I'd dig out my Fanboys banner again, just to hold up the flag despite all the bad news.

What, they gave Sam this voice, too???
I wonder if he's going to dub one of them in Fanboys too ...
Oooh, God, make me speak English perfectly please, I don't want to listen to dubbed movies EVER again!

Hehe, Sam and Chris would have to be dubbed by the same person. Yikes!!! LOL They'll probably give Chris the same stupid voice he will have in Wild X-Mas (excuse me, Just Friends) and use Ozan Ünal for Sam in Fanboys.

I guess so. Poor Chris and Sam. I think I am going to wait for the DVD. English and subtitles work for me, but I am not going to see some stupid dubbing.
Oh, and God, please make me understand English perfectly, not speak. Or rather both. LOL
I watched Season 1 in German, and I did see the episode. But I can't remember seeing him. And why didn't I realize that it was Eli's German voice? Well, maybe because I haven't watched the dubbed version of GND in ages. And I am not going to do it again.

Hey, this is cool! I found an IFC News video snippet on Ken's Fanboys page, but since it was SWF format and I couldn't find the original file on ifc.com (otherwise I would have linked to that), I converted it to WMV. I don't know when they published this either. I'll put it up on our page as well, but here's a link. There's a small sequence where Chris says something about the movie. Can I just say: Kyle, you're such a geek! But I still like him.

This is what Chris says: "You know, it's kind of a road trip adventure movie, full of all kinds of really crazy turns." (Yeah, like we didn't already know that... )

Here's a few pictures of Kyle that I found on the TriggerStreet website. It said you shouldn't repost them anywhere, but I don't see any harm in doing that. I just wanted to share them because we met him in person. The photos are not ours, but TriggerStreet's. Adam Goldberg is in one of them too.
(Can I just say that I wanna ruffle his hair? LOL)

This is funny. On wikepedia, they put up the Fanboys collage I did that's also on IESB ^^. And this is what it says about the copyright:
It is believed that because the photo above was released by the producers to promote the film in the media, is intended to be freely distributed for use in articles about the film, it doesn't limit the copyright holders' ability to market the film in any medium, and is intended for informational use only and doesn't detract from the subject or their work any way, it is covered under fair use laws in the U.S. and can be used on Wikipedia.
Released by the producers? Uhm... no. Snuck up somehow and then used because they liked it, more like. But since I didn't take that picture, I can't claim any copyrights, of course. Nor do I really care. I just love that it's my collage and it's all over the 'net and people think it's official.
And, awww, look at little tummy-achy Linus. LINUSNEEDSAHUG! Windows looks skeptical, Eric looks confused. The others are happy.

I am so looking forward to this movie! What could be better: Chris is coming out in a film that has Star Wars pretty much written all over it (among other sentimental things) And it was pretty much filmed in my backyard, so to speak. How great can this movie get?
