That's very cool! I think Yahoo Search has our page a little higher in the rankings than Google. A couple of people come to our site from Yahoo Search pages when I look at our stats. I wish we could climb a little higher in Google, but I have no idea how to go about that.

I am so blind.  I had seen a trailer for this when I went to go see "Pursuit of Happyness" and at the time, I thought it was cool but the title didn't click.  Then yesterday I saw the trailer on tv and the title clicked!

Which trailer was it? The one where you can see Chris/Keith jumping up and down the diving board?

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

The one in the theatre is the Universal trailer that you screencapped, TeeJay.  The one TV is only a 30-second, really quick ad that you only see the side of Chris's head in.  I finally saw it last night.  Everyone on the IMDb boards saw it someplace over the weekend.  Took me till about 12:30 last night to finally catch it.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

There are some interviews here from the junket:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uYhILpvjcI

Of course we know that Chris wasn't on the junket, so he's not interviewed here.  But you can see Emile and some of the others.  Also there may be a few clips listed that we haven't seen.  I don't have sound here at work so there's no point trying to look at them here.

I watched a few of the clips, as far as I can see there is no new stuff there. Just the interviews (the one with Anton is pretty funny, I think) and some trailers we already know.

Again, another intellectual "heavyweight" weighing in without even the benefit of actually seeing the movie. It's not a "gangsta" movie which totally undermines your most salient yet underwhelming point.

Well Larry, you can't take that line seriously. I mean it's in a very silly comedy and it comes from the younger horndog brother of a character who's trying to bag his high school sweetheart by pretending to be the biggest p u s s y in the world. So he goes to see the movie with her. And his mom. And the other guy who wants to date her. The younger brother's a real ass and he just says it to get under the older one's skin.

Of course we all know that the movie is wonderful!

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

USA Network ran the movie Blow tonight, starring Johnny Depp, written by Nick Cassavetes.  It was sponsored by Universal, promoting AD.  They ran the TV trailer a bunch of times and then at the end of the movie, they showed Chris's "marker" scene with JT and then Emile's with JT talking about killing the kid.  It was so cool that they picked those two scenes!  A buttload of brand new people got a glimpse of Chris in the movie on National TV tonight.

That's awesome. Hey, I've seen Blow years ago, but unfortunately only as a really bad VCD copy. Hardly watchable. But I still liked it. Didn't know Nick wrote it. I really really hope he can get Chris to do another movie before long. One where he goes darker and more grown-up, maybe? Just hopefully not something too depressing.

And, Anne? Make sure to send me a picture of the painting when it's finished! smile

Guys, the LA premiere is tonight (well, for the Europeans more like in the wee hours of tomorrow)! How exciting for everyone involved. Wish them all the best and lots of fun!

Oh, and btw... I didn't check out those YouTube clips. Are they spoilery?

I'd rather have an unexciting life sometimes. Because not only good things happen when you have excitement in your life. I'm sure Deb knows all about that right now. Girl, I hope Lacey will be all right. My excitement for tonight extends as far as hitting the shower and then bed in a sec. Hope at least Chris and the guys have fun at the premiere tonight, though. Someone deserves to be happy. Or to borrow something from JoA: Glad someone is having an anxiety-free night.

Okay, so with The Invisible now coming in April, maybe I shall take a trip to Atlanta in April after all? After all this sucking shite lately, don't we deserve a good month this year now? Maybe April is gonna be it. It might not be Fanboys, but maybe The Invisible will do. I'd much rather see Fanboys as early as possible, but I guess I just need to take what I can get at this point. Let's just see how it pans out.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Thoughts From The L.A. Premiere
by csa-2      5 hours ago (Thu Jan 4 2007 02:11:51)  Ignore this User | Report Abuse

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I began my journey this evening getting dressed at 5:30 - The top story on the Local NBC news was about the premiere and the story. There were clips from the film, a live remote, and taped interviews with Susan Markowitz.

The premiere was held at the famous Cinerama Dome on Sunset near Vine. Free popcorn and drinks flowed as well as the celebrities. (more later)

The film played to a packed audience of Hollywood elite. I saw many heads of agencies as well as other big producers.

The film played as expected. Fantastic.

The most incredible moment came after the film when Susan Markowitz (the real mother of the kidnapped kid) embraced Sharon Stone (who portrayed her in the film) - It was an emotional and undescribable event.

What I have discovered over the years is that you can usually judge how well a Hollywood audience enjoys a film by whether they attend the after party.

The after party was absolutely packed. I managed to say hello to Paris Hilton (sorry Harpshaman, never did get that photo with her) and reminded her of the time she auditioned for "Freddy Vs Jason". I congratulated Kevin Connolly on his continued success on "Entourage" and Jon Voight was as gracious and classy as ever.

But what I found interesting in talking to the many agents, managers and producers is that they ALL... every single one... heaped praise on Justin Timberlake. Yes, Ben Foster and Anton Yelchin were singled out as well, but many said "Justin's a movie star" and they're right... despite the bashing that goes on here. Justin ain't going away.

Justin was as sweet and as graceful as can be. I met him two years ago casting this and he still remembered my partner and I. Sharon looked as beautiful as ever. Ben Foster was sporting a beard. Emile came in a white t-shirt and jacket, playing the bad-boy to the hilt and attracting a lot of females smile - Chris Marquette has a short haircut and was adorable (as always) (awwwww, I love you Matt, but you can't have him, he's ours! - Deb), new dad Shawn Hatosy was as confident as always and the ladies were just as lovely. Olivia Wilde (a future star if there ever was one), Heather Wahlquist (looking as hot as ever), Amanda Seyfried (soooooo happy to have finally turned 21), and Chairty Shea, whose career has skyrocketed since she was cast in the film.

Then there was Nick, as proud as ever. Looking fit and trim with his trademark backwards baseball cap, and smiles for everyone.

I left around midnight and the party was still in full swing.

I write this at 2am, having wound down and put my baby back to sleep.

I know many of you still don't believe Justin is capable of actually acting, but tonight proved to the industry, that Justin is a damn good actor. Hopefully, instead of all the bashing, you'll judge for yourself and come to the same conclusion.

This is a cast I am damn proud of (can't say that about all the films I've cast) and I hope the film touches a nerve in America.

The audience will decide.

Thanks for your time.

Matt Barry

Co-Producer

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Totally! Thanks for sharing that off the IMDb board.

Anne, Deb sent you some buzz-cut/chin-hair pics of Chris, can you put them on the board? I neither have the time nor patience for that today. Can't say I was very excited about his looks (understatement!), but at least it seemed as if he had a great time. Sure deserved that! And it's the most important thing.

As to Chris saying he wants to go older and darker, not sure the buzz-cut really works. But I guess it does when you compare him now to what he looked like in JoA. Okay, that was two to three years ago, but still...

Oh, and we should send this to Tisha:
Justin was as sweet and as graceful as can be. I met him two years ago casting this and he still remembered my partner and I. Sharon looked as beautiful as ever. Ben Foster was sporting a beard. Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

You know what?  I am done bitching about hair and fuzz.  Done.  He's gonna do whatever he's gonna do.  And it makes him look like a grown-up so I don't have to feel so bad about crushing on the man, no mater how young he is.  And face fuzz does have it's advantages in certain areas. tongue

So, whatever.

Yeah, you could quote Matt to Tisha.  I'm sure she'd enjoy that.  Matt cast Freddie Vs Jason, too?  So he really has known Chris for quite a while.  That's lovely.  But he'd still better keeps his big, gorgeous paws off our boy!
