You know what I just realized? I think the third picture is after Nick was killed. It kinda looks like Pete is talking to that guy and Nick is just invisibly watching, trying to figure out what's going on. Although there's a bag of chips lying there and a water bottle. Guess we'll see eventually. You can tell us after Jan. 26, Deb.

Yeah, me too.
Isn't Nick not dead yet when he's invisible? Because then he can't be killed, he's just invisible. Because I remember something that Chris told you in October and that was different. Ah well, I guess I'll find out when I watch the movie.

Re: The Invisible

I said "after Nick was killed". That's not the same as saying he's dead. Or is it? Hm. I don't know. You know what I meant. Someone kills him and after that he's somehow not alive but not really dead either. He can see everyone, but no one can see him. Kinda like in "Ghost", anyone remember that one?

What Chris said is: "You know, I play the main guy's best friend, so I play this guy for the first 45 minutes of the movie, I'm in it a bunch. And then, uh, you know, this character sort of goes off on his journey and I'm sort of included then in little bits and pieces."

Is that what you were looking for?

Or did you mean: "You know, it's this kid who dies and wakes up and finds that, you know, he's, like, dead. And it ends up that *beep* and *beep* killed him for *beeeeeeeeep*." (Important information omitted for spoiler avoiding reasons.)

The way I understood it is that Nick is killed one night, but he's not really dead, like I said. He's invisible to everyone around him, can't move objects or talk to anyone. It's like he doesn't exist. But there's this old guy who can see him and he tells him that he might be seen again if he can solve his own murder. And that's when he goes off on "his journey" to find out who killed him and hopefully bring him back to life (or at least that what he hopes it'll do). This is just speculation, but somehow I get the feeling he won't really come back to life.

So if you have been "killed" by someone, you are still not really dead? Because for me I would be definitely "dead" if someone had killed me. And if he didn`t manage to kill me, I'd still be alive, visible or invisible, because I'm not a ghost because I'm not dead. Because when I am not really dead, it means that my heart is still beating, if I'd be invisible or not. And you can't be dead with a beating heart.
God, that was complicated to write in English. LOL
And yeah, I meant the second quote. I wasn't talking about how many scenes Chris had. I was talking about what his character does.

Dude, it's a movie! I think you're overanalyzing this. And I'm supposed to be the scientist here! tongue But if we're really talking personal belief, I actually think the same way. If you die, you die. Nothing happens after. You're just gone. I don't believe in some form of higher existence or a soul that lives on or people sticking around as ghosts until they're ready to leave. That's sad? Maybe so, but I guess I'm too much of a scientist and skeptic to believe in life after death. Not that that's mutually exclusive. It's just how I feel.

I don't have a problem with TV shows or movies telling me otherwise, though.

Anne, it's a supernatural thriller.  Supernatural things are gonna happen.

But guess what guys, they're not gonna happen until April 13th.  Yep, it's a Chris movie so it's friggin' PUSHED BACK.  Pardon my French, but GODDAMMIT!!!!!

Re: The Invisible

Here's a word I'm beginning to hate: pushed back. Yeah, thank you. Man, I am getting so tired of this. So I guess the German release date will also be pushed back. I'm starting to think 2007 won't be so great after all. I don't wanna jinx it, but with all that's going on (Fanboys, TI, Lacey), I'm starting to not to expect that FX is gonna happen, for whatever reason. Yeah, that's the German pessimist in me.

Hey, but at least that gives them more time to do a little more advertising for the movie. (Ha ha, like that's gonna happen...) I'm starting to hate the movie industry. Why don't they just keep all the Chris movies locked up until 2019? I'm getting really frustrated here, can you tell?

I know that it's a supernatural thriller. I mean, I love watching supernatural stuff on TV, like Medium for example, but that doesn't stop me from having my own opinions about death. If someone can still come to life, invisible or not, he is not dead, at least for me. Accept it or not, it's your choice.

You don't need to tell me how frustrating it is that they are pushing back all the Chris movies. Look at my situation, I have to live with the crappy dubbing. If at all. roll

I know what limbo is, I was just saying that for me someone can't be dead when his heart is still beating. Which Tina seems to see in another way. But I'm okay with that. Everybody deserves his own opinion.

Re: The Invisible

You know what, I'll stop here. Two people against one, which is not even perfect at English, is unfair. And I still have my own opinion about being dead or not. You can't be in limbo without a being heart, because if your heart's not beating you are DEAD.

HOLY CRAP!!!

I just learned something HUGE about Chris's character in the movie.  TeeJay, you SO don't wanna know this.  Better stay away from that spoiler thread on the IMDb board.  Anne, if you wanna know, shoot me a quick email at work and I'll tell you.
