It's hard with the calendar gone poof.
I remembered Carol's! ...After she told me. Happy birthday.
And happy very belated birthday to Illinois. Sorry I wasn't around on your actual birthday.. or any days surrounding it to say it.

OMG! Carol, it's your birthday? With the traveling and all, we failed to check the calendar. Again.
We'll just have to get you something special while we're out here in LA-LA Land.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I'm sure the gift you really want is normalcy at your house, power, Internet, that sort of thing. Here's hoping that happens very, very soon.

Yes, it is. I have one every year.

Happy Birthday, and I hope the power company gives you a present soon.

Thank you, Mel! They turned the power on just about 15 minutes ago, and the cable works too. So I guess my birthday is on October 3 this year. And it IS amazing.

We wrote Chris an e-mail yesterday morning and wished him a Happy Birthday. Of course we're gonna get to do it again in person on Monday and also hand him some presents.

...and the card some of you participated in creating, which turned out beautifully. If you haven't seen it in the Special Projects thread, you should go take a look.

Not so much, Rick, but thanks for the good wishes! Everyone's out of town, even Dave. So just like Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm alone for my birthday. No big deal. Dave did leave a present for me --- a movie gift card. So I'll be heading out soon for a nice lunch and hopefully a good movie. I'm leaning toward Benjamin Button, but I haven't quite made my mind up yet.

Benjamin Button's on my list too. Not sure when it comes to Germany, but I think some time in January. I'm gonna be watching Australia Tuesday night.

I wanted to see Australia too, but the reviews kinda scared me off. Dale & Vince loved it though. There's like 10 movies out right now that I wanna see. Milk is a big one. I'll have to go downtown for that one though and Dave wants to see it so maybe we can do that one next weekend. I'd better get my butt in gear and get out of here...

Two of my friends who are both big Australia (as in the continent) buffs asked me if I wanted to see it with them. All three of us have been to Oz before. I kinda hope the landscape and general Australian atmosphere will be worth it.
I haven't read/heard any reviews, so I wasn't even aware of the fact that the critics obviously didn't like it. And I don't care. Hugh Jackman washing his naked abs in slow motion by the fireside is enough of a reason for me to want to see it on the big screen.

Benjamin Button sounds good, but I think I'd check out Seven Pounds first. Quite a few pretty good movies out there right now. Hope you have a happy birthday!

:drool::drool::drool: Woot??!! Wolverine's abs?! I'm in!
You just gave me a great reason to see this film: :applause: I didn't know what to think of it. Looked kinda good in the trailer and on Imdb but didn't really get what it was all about. I was gonna give it a chance as a DVD because of great casting...

I'll let you know what I thought about it after I've seen it, Maria. (I mean the movie, not the abs.)
