I've posted a blog and bulletin on my MySpace, I've added the link to my article to the Wiki page and I've posted a front page c-m.com news bulletin. Anywhere else you can think of where I could post this without having to sign up anew?

The following article on from Total Film titled '7 Cool Posters To Hang On Your Wall In 2009', includes Fanboys at number 6. With only 7 films chosen, it's surprising to see Fanboys turn up, especially on a UK website.

Whoa, how did this happen? The "official" Fanboys MySpace (I still don't believe it's official, but who knows?) reposted my article in one of their blogs (and called it a "Must Read"): http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse … =449786788

Of course they managed to make it a botched up job so that some of the background and the cute pictures I picked to go with it don't show up. There's a few comments people left, which are mostly positive.

Also, there's another blog entry called Video Chronicles Fanboys Battle with an embedded video. Don't know if it's any good, I'll watch it when I get home tonight. Maybe you guys wanna check it out yourselves: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse … =460889311

I'm still annoyed at these guys just stealing my contact table background for their MySpace without permission. They didn't even have the decency to ask. The thing is that I can't claim any rights to it since I don't own the copyright of the image I used for the collage. All I can do is claim that they violated my intellectual property rights, but I doubt it's enough of a reason to report abuse to the MySpace admins. I guess all I can do is write to the Fanboys MySpace guys again and ask nicely for them to remove it, or at the very least give credit. I very much doubt they will, though.

Can I just add that I think their page still looks like cheap crap? Whoever put it together doesn't know the first thing about webdesign. If it's supposed to be the movie's official MySpace, it is done very poorly and doesn't look professional at all. I'm still convinced that they put some bored intern on the task and no one cared enough to have it improved. Sounds like true Weinstein policy.

I've watched the embedded video now, and it's pretty cool. It's basically just a video news flash about the Darth Weinstein protests, but it sums it up nicely and even shows the SDW MySpace. Here's another direct link:

I'm guessing this vid is from back in 2008, when the protests were ongoing. I didn't look, did it have a timestamp? I'm sure TWC welcomed all the publicity and that it pushed their forgotten, little movie back into the limelight a little bit.

And, uh, good point, Deb. Proves to me once more that this page is anything but official. Also, did you notice how they claim they are the "original Fanboys MySpace"? Nowhere do they mention the word "official", and I bet that's because they're not. Some dude on Wiki also posted that they are the official MySpace in the discussion part of the Fanboys page. Oh yeah? And how do you know, jerk?! Man, I wish I could let go, but it still irks the hell out of me that these dilettantes get credit for being official when they're not.

Yeah, they interviewed Jay too, but there's this other guy who looks pretty much like him. It was that guy I meant. He was called Eric Something and they said he is their favorite fanboy or something like that.

Atlanta is strangely absent from that list. Also, it initially being released in eight cities doesn't bode well for a non-American release, does it? DVD again for the non-US people, I guess. Oh well, for once I don't have a right to complain since I've already seen the movie. And I'm so glad we had that chance.

I hear ya, Simon. I think MOST people who want to see the movie have reached that point. Especially you folks in the wider world. If it does well enough in theaters here, who knows. For now, we can still hope.
