Director's cut, huh?  Maybe it'll fill all the plot holes?

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Yay! big_smile I got something great on the mail for a change. Took a long time to deliver them, but they finally arrived: The sisterhood of the travelling pants 1 AND 2. big_smile I didn't even remember the second one came to DVD in janyary. big_smile Nice suprise. I pre-ordered it few weeks ago. I watched the first one last night and I'm gonna watch the second one tonight; actually gonna start in an hour or so. As soon as I get most of the kids to bed... smile

Enjoy, Maria.  I loved the second one.  Brian sure got a lot cuter between movies!

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I'm actually just reading the books. Finished book 2 last night and started on book 3. It's funny to see how the second movie is really a mixture from more than one book. Bee meeting her grandma is totally different in the books, as are a lot of things. But the second movie worked very well the way they wrote and filmed it.

I myself am still waiting for the Choose Connor DVD. It should have been here days ago. Hope it arrives next week.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

At first I couldn't believe it was the same guy! I have a weakness for Asian boys and I thought he was cute in the first movie, but he's downright sessy in the second one.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I received a copy of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna watch it. I know you love the movie, Tina, but it's just not my type of movie. I might give it a try, though. I can always stop watching.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I don't know. Let me look ... ah, it has two German language tracks and the English one. So I'm gonna send it to you after I watched it. That's a good deal I think, since I gave the German Sisterhood DVD you once gave me to Nathalie. I don't need it anymore.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

No need to thank me. Since I'm a silly I forgot to include your sunglasses into the package I mailed off yesterday. But I'm gonna send it with the Perfume DVD. I might watch it tomorrow and mail it off on Tuesday.

I picked the first season DVDs up at Sam's Club last night and watched them all in one sitting.  Now I'm going around the second time... I'm not sure if I hate or love it hmm

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

It's in it's second season on ABC Family, Mondays at 8 I think.  I didn't watch the original runs so I'm just kinda jumping into it blind and the second season already started, I haven't decided if I'm gonna jump into the middle of that or wait for the DVDs.

It's really kinda... cute?  I don't know if that's the right word but there's no other way to describe it.  Molly Ringwald plays the mother of a pregnant 15 year old... it's weird seeing her as the mother and not a teenager.  I think it's hilarious even though it's a drama... it's so cliche and over the top.  And the characters are just... you wanna slap them sometimes.  They're so cute.  They just need a good slap.

It's definitely a guilty pleasure.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

That's a pretty bold thing for ABC Family to put on the air, isn't it?

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Hah.  No.  ABC Family has turned into ABC Teenager.   At least the show doesn't really idolize sex.  The only teenage characters that really enjoy it are basically sex addicts.  And they aren't happy.  All the characters have either made up their mind after having sex once that they don't wanna do it again or they already had in their minds to wait for marriage.  Or have decided against having sex so they don't invade their girlfriend's womb.

So basically the only kids having sex aren't happy.  The adults seem to enjoy lots of sex though.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I like the Secret life of an American teenager. Checked in online somewhere last fall. I think you guys would love it. It had a bit of that same vibe that JOA had... I think so anyway.. A nice familyshow that gives a warm feeling of something familliar and still manages to suprise a bit in every episode. I could use that DVD too. big_smile
