Woohoo, Twilight finally arrived at my theatre! :dancing:
I already emailed Kathi about it, we are hopefully going to see it on Tuesday (which is Half Prize Day at the theatre). I just hope there won't be any screaming little teenager boopers ....

Yeah, I've heard that. Every time they ask her she talks about how she thinks it would be cool but nothing has been confirmed publicly, as far as I know.

I swear I've been trying to stay away from these casting rumors, but sadly they're everywhere.

Borders will offer an exclusive version of Summit Home Entertainment's March 21 two-disc release of Twilight, including one hour of extra content not available elsewhere.
The exclusive material features Comic-Con interviews with stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart and red carpet footage from the film's Los Angeles premiere, with cast members Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed. Also included is a cut of a 'Borders Book Club' Web episode that featured author Stephenie Meyer discussing her source material for the Twilight novel franchise, on which the movie is based.
Additionally, Borders' Twilight two-disc edition carries 10 exclusive photo cards and will be encased in packaging distinct from the box art at other retailers. The booksellers' design revolves around foil-stamped tree branches that highlight the movie's logo.
Borders and its Web site are currently listing the title for pre-order at $29.99 pricing.
To underscore its Twilight exclusive, Borders will hold nationwide midnight parties for its release on Friday, March 20. Further details on the parties should be announced shortly, according to the chain.
"No retailer understands the passion Twilight fans have for Bella and Edward's story quite like Borders," said Anne Kubek, executive VP of merchandising and marketing at Borders. "We've been with this series from the very beginning and share fans' enthusiasm as we've watched it explode into a full-blown cultural phenomenon. To celebrate the release of the film on DVD, we wanted to go above and beyond to create something truly special that can't be found anywhere else."
Borders' Twilight version is the latest in a string of exclusives Summit is lining up for the title. Its single-disc SKU is expected to be sold only at Wal-Mart, and its Blu-ray version will launch for sale exclusively at Best Buy and Target.
Twilight and Borders should make a strong marketing team for the DVD. All four Twilight book installments are long-time bestsellers.
The chain continues to offer a wide selection of Twilight-related merchandise, spanning books, T-shirts, jewelry and action figures, in prominent displays at the front of its stores.

That's awesome Borders will have extras on Twilight you can't get on any other DVD version and photo cards. I think I'm going to wait until the price goes down though. $29.99 is a bit much.

Just got a Twilight Promotional DVD in the post. I sent off for it from the newspaper months ago and forgot all about it. Not a bad DVD. Had the trailer on, some interviews, b-roll footage and six clips. 1 which had Michael Welch in.

I havn't seen the movie yet but it was a good preview as i hadn't properly seen any clips from it. It would also the first time i actually got to see what Michael Welch actually looks like in it clearly.

In the entire movie or just in the scenes Simon got? In the actual movie... he's in a bunch of scenes at the school and around town. There's one scene when Bella and her father are eating at a diner, Charlie asks her if she's interested in any boys in town, she says no so he asks about "that Newton kid"... just as Mike shoves his butt up against the window and does a little dance on the catwalk.

I havn't watched all the clips from start to finish yet, due to lack of time i have at the moment, but the one scene i noticed him in is when they are in school and Edward is talking to Bella, and you get a quick shot of Mike watching them before sitting down at a table with a group of others.

I havn't watched the b-roll footage or the interviews, so i don't know if he appears in any of that.

Arrangements have been made between me and my friend Kati - we're definitely going to see Twilight on Monday! Not that I want the weekend to be over too soon, but I am REALLY looking forward to Monday now.

Watching the video now. LOL I didn't even know about Stephen King bashing Stephenie Meyer, but this is just freakin' funny! Whahaha! :rofl:

BTW it's still doing quite well. This past weekend its box office actually went up, even after 13 weeks out (although it did add 134 theaters). In fact, it was the second biggest box office increase of the top 56 films and it moved back up into the top 25.

Domestic take now stands at $188,753,617 with worldwide totals of $357,986,778. Not bad for a $37M film.
