Although the X Files 2 didn't get great reviews, i personally loved it and it was wonderful to have Mulder and Scully back.

The outtakes are hilarious. I didn't know Gillian Anderson had a habit of swearing so much.

I love outtakes. Some can be very dissapointing, whilst some can be hilarious. The X Files 2 are definately funny.

I love the Indiana Jones music. Got the four soundtrack boxset for Christmas and it's a wonderful collection if you like that music.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Bought today:

1. Bobby (Urgh, I noticed it's a Weinstein movie and it features sheephead ... oh well. It features a lot of good people, too.)
2. House Season One (plus Hugh Laurie's book "The Gun Seller". Always wanted to read that.)

And I wanted to buy the Steelbook editions of the X-Men movies, but I did something wrong and ordered only the third steelbook movie and the normal version of the other two films, so I'm going to send them back and order the steelbook versions instead.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

This is what it says on its back:

"When Thomas Lang, a hired gun with a soft heart, is contracted to assassinate an American Industrialist, he opts to warn the intended victim - a good deed that doesn't go unpunished.Within hours Lang is butting heads with a buddha statue, matching wits with evil billionaires, and putting his life (aming other things) in the hands of a bevy of femmes fatales, whilst trying to save a beautiful lady ... and prevent an international bloodbath to boot."

I wonder how good I'll understand. Maybe I'm going to rent the German version. If our library has it.

Chris auditioned for Wanted, the part James McAvoy eventually landed.  Damn shame it didn't work out.

I had no idea Chris auditioned for the movie Wanted. It's unfair he didn't get the role.

He was up for the lead in the Emilio Esteves film, The Public too, and lost it to Justin Long.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I've bought a lot of DVD's in these past few months.. Latest was a bunch of asian films. A box by the Pong brothers with four horror movies. Then two Ekin Cheng movies. I like him big_smile Jackie Chan had a small role in one of them: The Twins effect. The other one was The Duel. I literally rolledd with laughter watching The Twins effect. Funniest vampire movie ever!

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Watched Wanted today.

OK, the beginning is a little far-fetched with the man jumping out of one building to another that is probably 200 feet away or more. But after that it is pretty good with some real neat action sequences.

For the Chris fans I just couldn't picture him in this movie. It's really has tons of graphic violence. The character gets beaten up quite a bit and kills many people. Now of course if Chris was in the film then there would have a few shirtless scenes that the gals could drool over.

Without giving too much away, I will say that I don't see how many of the main cast could return for any sequels.

The enhanced Visual Effects really enhances the film and improves the film in my opinion.
A few sites are saying these are going out of print if they haven't already.
