I just looked up Slumdog Millionaire. It looks pretty good. I'll have to check it out sometime.

I saw "You've got mail" again last last night.Came from the TV a while ago and recorded it just to see if I'd still like it. I was certain I'd get bored in the middle of it, because it's so long and I've seen it a couple of times before. But it really was good. One of he best Meg Ryan-flicks. Love the Ryan-Hanks-chemistry. And I love bookstores and cafes; so really my kind of movie. And this coming from a woman that concidered Sleepless in Seattle her favorite movie from teen to early twenties. And I still think it's very good. I don't think I can quite decide which movie is my absolute favorite these days. I like so many different ones.

I think we always love the movies that were our favorites during the formative years. I still cling to the movies I was into between 16 & 25 or so. And I'm old. I just bought some of them on DVD. :dancing:

I've only seen You've Got Mail once and that was when I was like 9 or 10. It's a really good movie.

i saw this very cute little movie called " the wackness ". i never heard about the movie and just happened to watch it. the script has many flaws but the two main characters, which are almost all the characters in the movie, are played so beautifully that it makes you, or at least it made me, forgive the flaws of the script.
the two actors are ben kingsley which we already know is a good actor but the other actor is this young guy i never heard about before named josh peck. josh peck is amazing.
oh, well, i am glad i saw it.
it's almost no action in this movie but somehow it manages to be beautiful.

I really wanna see that. Chris was up for the lead guy in it at one time.

You should see Josh Peck in the movie Mean Creek, Irina. It's an amazing movie! I watched it again tonight for like the tenth time.

Yes, I adore Mean Creek. But you are going to to see a very different Josh Peck in it. It's kind of how the world knew him for a while, too. Makes The Wackness all the more amazing. I can tell just from the trailer.

after i watched last night's film i searched imdb to see if josh stared in other films and mean creek seemed to be a good movie but a hard to see one. and i also understood that he used to be fat. oh well, he still is a little chubby ( is this the right word? ) in the wackness but this just makes him adorable.
if you guys recommend mean creek then i will watch it.
i really like seeing movies that are not blockbusters and see talented actors that should get more attention. i really did not know chris could have been in it, it would have been great.

well i saw " mean creek " last night. i was pretty socked about how much josh peck changed since that movie.
i have to say i liked the acting in the movie a lot but not so much the plot. it seemed somehow forced, to me at least. or maybe i can not see it from that point of view. my mother would have never let me go to a bunch of strangers birthday in the middle of nowhere without at least talking to them first and maybe even a parent. nor would i ever had gone with someone who actually was not my friend and also i sort of beat them up for fun on my spare time. also he drown so fast and they all just stood there and stared.and the tape was still ok after being the water?
and the ending seems so rush.

lately i saw two very good films, in my opinion anyway.
i saw " mar adentro " which is a perfect movie. javier bardem is awesome. the movie is perfectly acted and beautifully directed. the movie is sad and yet not without hope. it is a movie to see and to feel.
and so is the next movie i saw a couple of days ago at the cinema " the curious case of benjamin button ". the movie is like a fairy tale and it just wraps in inside and makes you feel warm.
did anyone else saw these movies?

this is mar adentro http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369702/
it was the best foreign film at 2005 oscars. if you saw javier bardem in some other movie before you will be really socked when you will see him here. i mean, i knew it was him but i was like - is he really? and the fact that almost all the movie you only see his face but still he manages to captivate the whole movie. just wow !!!
