Re: Fanboys

I found Fanboys on this online movie site and I'm going to watch it on Sunday. I already know it's going to be in pretty bad quality because it's from someone that filmed it in the theater but I still can't wait to watch it.

Re: Fanboys

I found Charlie Banks and Witch Mountain on a site like that too (well, to be fair, Anne did), but I'd rather pleasure-delay the whole experience. I'm gonna wait until I have the DVDs, even if that means waiting another few weeks/months. It's really not as gratifying, watching a bad quality movie on the screen where you can barely hear the sound or understand the dialogue.

Hope you like Fanboys, Mel!

Re: Fanboys

I'm watching Fanboys for the second time right now. I've got a pretty good version. Later I'll buy the DVD with all the yummy extras (must be a lot of cut Chris-scenes on the extras, right?) and guess what some people I know are gonna get for Christmas this year! ;D

Re: Fanboys

If you all know how to use torrent to download then i suggest checking out "www.torrentz.com" its got a filter to only have good quality video being posted, doesnt ALWAYS work but i have got some pretty awesome quality stuff from there. I downloaded Fanboys the other day and you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between that and dvd, except for no menus or special features. But give it a go if you guys are getting impatient waiting for the dvd to become available. Australia tends to be behind the US when it comes to releases

Fanboys is awesome! Chris's acting was so powerful and amazing! It's also very funny and of course dramatic.

Signs are good that I'm gonna have my own copy in October or maybe even earlier. So no, I'm not jealous (yet).

Re: Fanboys

The DVD actually has a cardboard wrapping on the outside with the actual DVD inside that slides out at the bottom or top. The cardboard wrapping is glossy and some of the background and writing is metallic, so it would look really weird if I printed out my cover on normal paper and stuck it over it. I might replace the cover inside, but I'm not gonna mess with the cardboard wrapping on the outside.

Re: Fanboys

That's why I wanted to print your cover on sticker paper and plaster it over the crap cover.  Please tell me there are pics of Chris on other parts of the DVD.  In fact, that would be something to take pics of since no one has found the back cover online.

I guess that's not too bad.  When are you gonna watch the extras?

Re: Fanboys

Not sure yet. Not tonight, I'm tired beyond belief and have a toothache and I'm just in no mood to watch comedy, especially when it's something I really should savor. I'll surely post about the extras, once I've seen them.

Re: Fanboys

"Are you kidding?  I'm William Shatner, I can score anything."  That's the line that goes with the pic.  Which makes it even funnier, IMO.  I can't wait to see the deleted scene where Sam & Chris just keep throwing out things to see if he can score them.

That line is in the trailer, althought isn't it "I can screw anything"? .

It's just great seeing Kirk in a film about Star Wars. tongue

Re: Fanboys

BTW, TeeJay, can you make a version of your "fixed" cover that is the exact size of the DVD box so I can print it on sticker paper and slap it over the insulting cover of my DVD when I get it?  I'd really appreciate that.

Already did that yesterday. I'll e-mail it to you.

I pre-ordered it online. They shipped it early. Guess I got lucky.

I've got a really bad memory... I know I've been on ngtv.com before and linked some videos on some board I use... But not sure if I've linked this here. So: This is No Good TV's Fanboys interview with the boys. Makes loads of sense now that I've actually seen the movie. big_smile
Crap. The link doesn't work like it should. You could go to ngtv.com and press "Next" like 8-10 times and you'll come across this. The boys are cursing a lot and talking about weird stuff 'cause it's aloud in this site.

It's hiliarious! But they should slap an R rating on it. They mention a LOT of bad words. And Chris teaches us how to correctly say motherf***.

Re: Fanboys

Watched all the extras. Chris is in them a fair bit, but there's nothing where he's specificially featured more than the other guys, except for one of the "Disturbances in the Force" webisodes (see more on that below). The webisodes are hilarious, I loved those. The rest is just your run o' the mill featurettes. Some footage is featured in multiple featurettes even. They are funny, but they're nothing too special.

The deleted scenes also aren't all that special, at least I didn't think they were. I liked the William Katt scene best of those on the DVD. There's no outstanding scene for Chris in the deleted scenes. The Kyle as Yoda scene was cute too. Maybe you have to be a true Star Wars geek to appreciate the deleted scenes. I'm sure there's tons of SW references in them that I didn't get.

One great thing about the extras: There is nothing from the reshoots in them (that I could see). Yay! smile

"The Choreography" is also kinda cool. Chris is very much himself in this one and looks very yummy.

I haven't looked at the commentary yet, but I kinda don't wanna see the movie again until after I get back from Denmark. There's a slim chance it's still showing in theaters when I go there (last weekend of May) and I think watching it on DVD now and watching it in the theater again in two weeks would spoil the experience.

Which also means no movie screencaps until beginning of June. Sorry, guys. neutral

And now....... How to make a great first impression on Danny Trejo (tagline: OUCH!!!): http://www.chris-marquette.com/media/vi … eBalls.wmv
