Addendum to the commentary, I listened to the first minute, just enough to see who was there. It's Kyle (director), Ernie Cline and Adam F. Goldberg (writers), Dan, Sam and Kristen. Seems like Jay wasn't there either.

I've had a wonder and i need some suggestions. As it seems that it's going to be a while until Fanboys is released in the UK, i'm wondering whether i should buy a region 1 dvd. I only have 1 player that i would be able to play it on, but i have been waiting atleast year for it now.

I didn't mean to imply the DVD's not worth buying. It absolutely is. You could try www.cd-wow.net (where I got it from) or axelmusic.com, both ship to Europe without customs fees. CD-wow.net has free shipping too, though I think currently you can get it about 1 EUR cheaper at axelmusic.com. I've used both shops and I'm happy with either, though axelmusic often has longer delivery times.

Also, if you had the right software, you could make a copy of your RC-1 DVD and make it codefree, so that you can play the copy on all your players.

Well i have an account on amazon.co.uk, so i could get one off there. I guess when it is finally released in the UK (and i'm old and grey), i can always buy it again, if it's worth it.

Right, I didn't know you could get RC-1 DVDs on amazon.co.uk. You can't get anything other than RC-2 DVDs on amazon.de...

Correction, it's not the "Choreography" special where I thought Chris looked yummy but the webisode that's called "The Empire Strips Back". Like I said, a lot of the things in the extras are kinda repetetive.

It lists american listings on there and they are dispatched from the USA, but you can pay in pounds.

Is the Linus throwing his pills away scene in the deleted material? I know it's just a brief little thing, about 15 deconds long. But Kyle said it would be there. And the people on IMDb wanna know if the feature called The Truth About Fanboys really does tell the truth.

No and no.

The Truth About Fanboys is a featurette about the movie. Very generic. Kyle and some of the actors are being interviewed with scenes from the movie in between. The kind of thing where they try to sell the movie to people who don't know it. You know, explain the basic premise and the characters. The extras mention NOTHING about any of the controversy.

Yeah, I couldn't imagine that TWC would actually let them tell the truth. Sucks about the "awsome canyon" scene though. Kyle seriously has some 'splainin' to do about that one. He said over and over again that it would be there.

Kyle probably didn't have the last word when it came to deciding what was on the DVD, just like with pretty much the rest of the movie.

Here's some screencaps from the DVD extras. I haven't covered all of them yet. The picture quality is quite bad in some of them, but that's how they are on the DVD. Nuttin' I can do about that.

Oh, please. I don't believe for one minute that TWC threw up some objection to that 15-second scene being on the damn DVD. Come on. What the hell possible reason could there be for that? Kyle said he loves it so much he really hated to lose it and that it would be on the DVD. Maybe it's an Easter Egg?

Oh, and Deb, you can also tell Cenobite on IMDb that it's none of his business whether I watch my DVDs the second I get them or wait a day or two. I know why I stopped even reading anything there weeks ago...

If it's an easter egg, I think I'll have to wait for someone to post online how to access it since I'm not good with messing around with these things and discovering them on my own.
