I've had The Host sitting on my shelve for months but I always loose interest or run out of time to read. A friend of mine has read it and totally adores the guy in it. Some people I know have read it and keep telling me, I just need to get assed the first 100 or so pages and then it gets really addictive. I guess I'll see later in this summer. I should have the time to read when we're on our summerplace some weekend...

"Alice" has said in many interviews that there's a lot more Edward in the movie than you'd expect. Maybe Bella has memories about the time they've spent together. Or she's way more delucional than she was on the book. Or maybe Alice sees visions of him. Or maybe they squeeze the Bella-Jacob-time to 30 minutes and the rest is Italy and forward...

Yep, I felt the exact same way. Once Melanie gets to the caves, it indeed becomes addictive.

I saw the writers on Good Morning America this morning. I could have sworn I had the first novel but I couldn't find it. Either I need to organize my books better or I have too many vampire books and don't know the difference between them anymore. Probably both.

The official New Moon trailer aired last night during the MTV Movie Awards, Twilight won best movie, Kristen and Rob won best kiss, Kristen won best actress, Rob won best breakthrough actor, and Cam and Rob won best fight.

That's kind of how it happens in the books though. They transform when they're emotional. I don't have New Moon anymore so I can't check, but the first time he changed in front of Bella was something like that, I think.

She was really really jumpy at the awards yesterday. She tripped on the stairs when her and Rob went to accept best kiss and when she got the best actress award, she dropped it and broke it.

She's generally an awkward person, she never does well on talk shows and stuff.

I personally thought it seemed like she was high like on coke or something, not mellow. She looked terrible, really jumpy , touched her hair and face a lot, she had a cigarette in her hand and put it in her mouth when they accepted best movie. She was an all around train wreck. I hope she gets a hold of herself as I think she's a good actress.

Maybe she's naturally jumpy and WASN'T high on her apparent drug of choice, weed. And that's why she was all over the place. I used to know a guy who smoked weed to be "normal". If he didn't, he was so incredibly socially awkward that he just couldn't be around people. When he had a buzz, he was the sweetest guy you'd ever meet and everyone thought he was very cool.
