Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

I can answer the whole 9 yards of questions with one phrase:

It's a metaphor.

That's it.  That's all there is to it.  Vamprism is a metaphor for sexuality.  So any given author might write their metaphorical love/sex story in whatever setting they want.  Twilight plays against a high school backdrop, but it's hardly the first.  Buffy very sucessfully staked out that territory (pun intended) a decade ago.  And her hundred plus-year-old vampire lover, Angel also got made vampire very young, 18.  So his level of emotional maturity seems to have stalled there as well.

Right now, I'm totally wrapped up in the HBO series True Blood.  It's funny as hell, very weird and incredibly sexy.  I can't wait to see what happens next.

Been a vampire fan for about 25 years and it's pretty much all Anne Rice's fault.  She made them deeper than they'd ever been before.

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

I really like vampires. I'm a major Anne Rice fan! Interview With A Vampire is a great movie and I love the book much more. I really like The Lost Boys as well. I really need to find the time to watch True Blood. I also really like Vampire Academy. Twilight is a good movie but the books are way better in my opinion.

Does this guy star in Twilight?

Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl in 3-D.

I saw a little bit of this a few months ago and it didn't look good at all.

One of my online friends thinks that's the worst movie EVER made.  LOL!

And yeah, that kid is now the stud in the middle, LOL!

Yeah, after the first Twilight movie they made him bulk up for the second one.  He's supposed to be a big scary werewolf so he needed some muscles.

I'd have to agree with you there. I watched it when it first came out (a double feature with Madagascar) and wasn't a fan of it, to put it lightly.

He barely looks like the same person.

Taylor is the Sharkboy, yes. And there's some really cool martial arts-videos of him out there. big_smile Very talented kid. And way too sexy for his age. He looks older than his years. Which is good since Jacob is supposed to look like he's 25 when he's 16-17.

The wolfpack is crazy sexy in New moon. Can't wait to see it just for that.

I'm happy I don't work at Toys R Us anymore, because I could never hold back from buying these if I walked past them almost everyday http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp … w=twilight

Re: Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies)

Looking at them on the computer, they creep me out.  Maybe if they looked more like Kristen and Rob and less like Barbie and Ken but... whatever.   Like I said, if I saw them everyday I'd eventually cave and buy them, but I think I'll live without them.
