Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

I'm Sheldon, a fan of Joan of Arcadia, and I also like CM, but I am more partial to Amber Tamblyn.

That said, I never watched The Unusuals.

I have always liked "teen/adult angst" stuff (Degrassi, My So-Called Life, Relativity, Once and Again, et al), and I think that Joan of Arcadia should have been allowed a third season.

Welcome, Shell.  I think it's safe to say we're all pretty much big Amber fans around here.  I thought The Unusuals was a lot of fun.  Have you seen Stephanie Daley yet?  Wow.  Amber was stunning in that one.

Have you read about our trip to LA last year where we were lucky enough to get to meet pretty much the whole main young cast of Joan of Arcadia?  Amber's so adorably wacky.  tongue

Which I didn't even notice because I was watching her face.  But I do remember thinking her outfit was typically Ambery and odd.

Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

Aww thank you, TeeJay!
I'm more than happy to answer the questionnaire... wink I have to let you all know that my English is just so-so, though lol

What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
Joan of Arcadia, back in 2005 I think. Unfortunately, they only aired the first 13 episodes here in Indonesia. They canceled it just like that. I remember being so upset with the TV channel, so I sent them an email asking them to air JOA again. Got no respond. sad
I never saw or attempted to see the show again until last January, when my boyfriend told me he download JOA off the internet for me because I keep babbling about "this awesome show they used to air years ago, but I know it'd be impossible to find the original DVD here".

What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
Joan of Arcadia, of course, and American Gun.

What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
I love the scene in JOA when Joan asked Adam to dance with him outside her house, probably because it was the last episode I saw when JOA was being aired on national TV.

Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Sorry for being so predictable but I have to go with Adam. It's because Adam was so believable and he's just the exact kinda guy that could make my world go round. Don't we all want our own Adam Rove?? wink

Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris?  What site did you land on?
I do, actually. It was around January this year, after I watched JOA again. Of course I landed on his imdb page. I checked all the movies he's done and began to stalk him since, lol. You know, renting his past movies and stuff.:P

What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
I was looking for an up-to-date fan page and I'm so glad I stumbled on this website. smile

What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
Hmm this is hard. I couldn't come up with anything but I'm pretty sure that it would be nice to see him play a more intense, dark character.

Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
I went to see Race to Witch Mountain only because Chris is in it! lol.

Own any Chris movies?
The Invisible. That's the only DVD of Chris I could find here. It's kinda hard to find original DVDs here in Indonesia, especially when it comes to old movies sad

Have anything special recorded off TV?
No, sadly.

What do you like most about Chris?
Great actor. Good looking. Annnndd... I like his sweet voice. tongue

If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
I know it's totally random but I'd love to know what Chris loves about cats. He has a persian cat, right? I myself love cats & find it so cute that he has one big_smile (ahhh I hope I don't sound too fangirl-y)

Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
from JOA:
"Whaaat? I thought I invented this!"
"I just like hanging out with you 'cause you're Jane."

Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
Sadly no, I haven't.

If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
Hmmm any photo of him will be great. I won't complain as long as there's his real autograph in it, heh heh.

What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)

I'd choose A, E, and G. I'd love to see Chris on TV again playing a cute, boy next door type of guy.:embarrassed:

Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

The info on IMDb is VERY old, Fifi.  He doesn't have that cat anymore.  He did adopt a kitten a couple of years ago, but his ex-girlfriend got her in the break-up.  He's quite a gypsy and moves around a lot so he doesn't have any pets of his own these days.

Welcome to the MB!  And don't worry about your English.  It's actually very good.  smile

BiggestChrisMarquetteFan - I know you posted it awhile ago, but dang those time differences....I LOVE freaks and geeks. Seriously one of my all time favourite shows. Disappointing it was so short lived though. But oh love it so much

Fifi - Hey hey....welcome to the site. They wont say it themselves but the admins here are awesome! And i know what you mean about stuggling to find Chris related things on DVD and such. I am Australian and we tend to have the same problem here. Same thing with JoA here, it was cancelled early. Though i managed to watch it all for the first time within the last month and have become a fan. Your English is very good. I wouldnt worry

Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

Great answers! Another Adam fan, nice! big_smile You know, maybe we could ask Chris about the cat thing some time. Even though he doesn't have a pet right now, he must be a cat person, otherwise he wouldn't have adopted Motska and gone through the effort of getting her from Bulgaria to the US. It's also something I'd personally be interested to know since I love cats as well (only wish I wasn't allergic!).

Plus, I agree, your English is just fine. We have a few non-native speakers here, so no reason to be afraid to use your English. smile

About not being able to find Chris's DVDs, do you guys have codefree DVD players? If so, you can easily order US DVDs online (if you have a credit card...).

Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
I saw him in a lot of movies like Up, Up and Away, The invisible, Just Friends. But i fell in love with him in Joan of Arcadia, his character is just so caring and alluring!

What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
I haven't seen all of his movies, I'm working on it. Out of the ones I've seen I'd say Graduation... I love when he does comedies but when he does drama it's amazing! I liked him in the Education of Charlie Banks, I just wish he had a bigger role. Ooo Of course I love him in Joan of Arcadia but I haven't seen all of the epsiodes yet.

What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
In Graduation I loved when he protected his girl and got shot for her.

Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Gotta say Adam, I haven't seen much but from what I've seen in ever scene he's in he literally steals the light( no offense to Amber).

Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris?  What site did you land on?
Nope, I searched for him on imdb.

What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
I posted a question on imdb about Fanboys( another one of my favorites that he's done both comedicl and dramatic role) I wondered why he wasn't on the commentary.

What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?

Not sure but now that he has worked with Seth Rogen maybe he can work with Judd Apatow and do a great comedy with Jason Segel Jonah Hill and all those great guys.

Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
Just Friends;

Own any Chris movies?
I netflix, I'm cheap.

Have anything special recorded off TV?
Nope.

What do you like most about Chris?
His personna, his eyes, his smile, yea basically everything! I love that he's funny and goofy but then also serious and understanding.

If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
I would ask him about who he wants to date and what he looks for in a relationship, cliche I know.

Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
Every line in Just Friends!
"Raise your hand if your brother's a homo!"
"Dude, The Notebook's soooo gay."
"We're stinkin' rich, yo."
"I swear to God, if you don't f*** her, I'll kill myself. F*** her for me, for MEEEE!"

Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
No

If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
My zune, j/b i love it and having his autograph on that would be awesome!

What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)

Something with Kristen Stewart! & more stuff with his bros. Ok out of those I pick horror, I havent seen a good horror movie lately( besides Friday the 13th) & I adored him in Freddy vs Jason. I think he would make the horror more enjoyable!

Re: Our little questionnaire ::: Come on in and answer it

I will definitely watch the rest of JoA, I get 3 movies from netflix and so I'm doin like a disc of JoA and then some of his movies. I just listened to your most recent interview with him, wow!!!!! Yall are soo lucky to have met him and hung out with him he seems so geniune and real. I'm really hoping they get to do that show it sounds awesome, I love movies that are raw and show the hardships teenagers go through and so I think a show a/b teenagers growing up in L.A. would be cool. I recommend seeing A Guide to Recoginzing Your Saints( sorry it's not a/b chris but I just think it's a great movie), It stars Shia LaBeouf and Channing Tatum, Robert Downey Jr., so many great people, and that movie is insane, sad, but mainly raw. In a way it also reminds me of Education of Charlie Banks j/b it deals with honest issues and fear, I was so surprised at Jason Ritters performance I thought he was excellent, he truely scared me!

Fanboys was great! Comedy and Drama all in one, and I was listening to the interview a/b yall signing a petition to kill Linus?(i think thats right) Which was soo sad but I think it made the movie, his last scene in the movie is why I love this guy!
