Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

I found this little German snippet on a website just now:

"Limp Bizkit"-Frontmann Fred Durst arbeitet als Regisseur
17.01.2007

Here's your translation:

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst works as director

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has a new field of work. The musician finished shooting his first movie as a director.

As the magazine "Bunte" (popular German magazine) states, the singer worked behind the scenes for the flick "The Education Of Charlie Banks". The actors are said to have been impressed with his directing skills. Actor Chris Marquette said, "He was very easy to work with and absolutely calm. We were all prepared, and when we came to the set, he just ran with it. He was cool."

The 3 million dollar flick is about college student Charlie Banks whose old friends suddenly pay him a visit. It is currently unknown when the movie will hit the theaters.

They even mentioned Chris! Wow! yikes
Okay, it's just some some yellow press magazine, but still it mentions him. That's kinda cool, huh?

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

I've also heard it said that Chris was the lead in this movie, which confused me. I thought Charlie Banks was the main character, and he's played by Jesse Eisenberg. However, Chris's name is at the top of the list on IMDb too. Does he really play the lead in this movie? That would be great!

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

Yeah, that would of course be great, but I still think that Jesse Eisenberg plays the first lead. I mean, the movie's called after his role, right. Maybe Chris plays the second lead and they mixed that up? You know, German magazines. They don't research very good, at least sometimes. wink

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

It wasn't the German article that said he plays the lead. I think it was MTV who said that. I posted it earlier somewhere.

Yeah? Well, I can't remember right now. And since you said "it said" I thought it was the article. Sorry.
I just hope they'll release the movie soon, I wanna see this!

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

OK, first, maybe they say he's the lead because he's the only person they've interviewed so far and they dropped the "one of the" lead"s" bit because this the guy they could get and they'd better make him sound important.  WE know what role he plays and it is NOT the lead.

Secondly, that German article was cribbed from the MTV article because it had one of the exact same quotes.

And don't worry, we're going to know a LOT more about this movie soon because of Tribeca.

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

I found some more Behind The Scenes Pictures (I guess).

And here's the MTV article: http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles … tory.jhtml (takes a little time to load).

OK, here's AirGuitar!Chris bigger so you can actually see him.  Wonder what he's jamming out to.  And it looks like he's coming out of his trailer onset.  I'd love to give credit to whoever took the photo.  Anyone know anything more about it?

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

Hmm... perhaps I was mistaken. I did not mean to come off like a clepto so here is how I came across the pic.  Anyways, I was lurking around the enormous abyss that is the net and stubbled upon Chris' pic which is apart of Alexa Vegas' site who is actually Chris' co-star in The Beautfil Ordinary so my assumption was wrong about it being TEOCB. My bad...again!  For those of you who would like to take a look at her site here ya go.  big_smile

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

Ah, I see.  Well, we keep mixing up those two movies for some reason too.  But now the wardrobe makes a little more sense.  In TECB, he's supposed to be wearing these tight 80's clothes.  In TBO, he plays a wiry drug addict, which fits more with the baggy, slacker garb we see above.  I also see a pack of cigarettes on the counter in the background.

Should we move this over to the TBO thread?

Me too. I just doubt that the movie will ever make it to Germany, so I guess I have to wait until the DVD comes out ...

I don't know how to move single posts but if you would like to have the pic in the TBO thread I could delete the posts here and post it there instead. And maybe we should ask the webmasters if we could add the pic to our gallery. It definitely belongs there. LOL wink

Single posts, really? Wow. Then she needs to explain this to me, because when I looked at the Administration, I couldn't find a Move single posts feature.

Anne is right, you can't move single posts, unfortunately. You can only move whole threads. The last time I moved your whole thread, Deb, it wasn't just one post. Am gonna comment on the other stuff later.

Re: The Education Of Charlie Banks

I think we can keep these posts here, we should just post the pic in the TBO thread as well.

And if I may just comment on the photo.... FREAKY! Man, this movie is gonna be a total freakshow, but I still can't wait to see it. He's listening to an iPod, one of those with a hard drive, I think. Wonder what's on. TV On The Radio? wink
