Actually,Jacob during Breaking Dawn made up for it. But it doesn't take away how he was during New Moon and Eclipse. To me, he's just an immature little twat until he finds his soulmate. Then he becomes a weird version of Edward.
Same here! I couldn't have said it better. Thanks, Laura!
I'm feeling sooo creative tonight, I think I'm going to finish my Alice painting.

I think I might've been even less fond of "Eclipse" than I was on "New Moon". But you're right, they're my least favorite of the
four. At least Edward will have a bit more of a presense in the movie. But I never did much warm up to Jake.

Am I the only one around here who doesn't despise Jake? He's not my favorite character, and he surely has flaws, but I still like him in different ways. My least favorite book was New Moon too, though. After that Eclipse and then Breaking Dawn. Twilight is still the best.

Wow! I'm an outcast. I love Jacob. I love his tribe and the wolf pack... Him, Jasper and Alice are my favorite characters, Eclipse is my favorite book, New Moon was probably my least favorite because I despise Bella and that book made her irritate me even more than she already did.

No, you're not the only one, although he infuriated me a few times during Eclipse.

I don't despise Jake. I just really, really don't like him.
I've said this before but that "love me or I'll kill myself" thing in Eclipse was just a point of no turning back for me. It is never okay to say something like that to someone.

I love this. The first book told through Facebook updates

Hahaha its ok Samantha I actually agree with you too. I loved Jacob. But at the same time i also agree with Laura. It is never ok to say that to someone. NEVER. But I dont hate him for it either. It was actually Bella that bothered me most during New Moon. I have actually said this before that i am actually not a huge fan of Edward. The passion that he shows for Bella is amazing and I am very jealous of someone having that but in the same breath I find him almost too emotional and he seems to sulk quite alot to me. I know my opinion isnt a popular one. But its what i think

Yeah, that was a part that infuriated me. Bella was already worried that he would get hurt and he tried to use that to his advantage (it worked, momentarily). He was too focused on what he wanted (Bella for himself) to see what Bella really wanted.
I for some reason empathize with him in his situation in the majority of the series and I can't really explain why. I really don't get it myself; I just can't help it.
I'm interested to see how they handle New Moon in the movie, because I was torn between skipping the middle of the book to get to the Edward parts and trying to really take in what was happening between Jacob and Bella. I guess we'll see in November.

AGREED! I'm not an Edward fan either...haha it's almost as if I'm the Twilight anti-fan because I don't like Bella or Edward. I find the other characters so much more interesting.

Haha i am so glad we share the same opinion. I love Twilight but both Edward and Bella annoy me so much. I am normally pretty quiet about it though cos most dont agree with me. But i love the Cullens so much. Such a soft spot for Alice and Carlisle. And Emmett (but mostly from the movie). And the entire wolf pack are amazing. I actually felt really sorry for Mike and Jessica too. She jsut so desperately wanted him and he wanted Bella but settled, that kinda thing does happen too often. And then they had Mike Welch play Mike and i just loved him. GAH!

Jasper and Alice are my favorite Cullens. I think they have the most interesting back stories. Also, aside from Chris and maybe 1977 Star Wars Mark Hamill, Jackson Rathbone is the most beautiful man I've ever seen.

Apparently, new footage has been released. I haven't watched it yet, just ran into it on AICN...

Hahaha, that Meyerbook Thing just gave me the biggest laugh!
I can't stand Jacob (at least not until BD book 3 ...) I love Bella and Edward (and I love them together too, I'm Team Edward all the way! LOL), but personally I relate more to Alice and I think she's my favorite character. Sometimes I wish Stephenie Meyer would write another book about Alice's story. I'd love to read that. And yeah, Jasper's cool, too. I mean, how cool would that be - having a boyfriend who can control other people's feelings ... so there's no big fight if the parents don't like their future son-in-law. LOL

They said on the radio this morning that due to so many fans writing to the German distributor of the movie, they moved the German release date of New Moon up from January 2010 to Nov 26, 2009. Yay!!

I hope my little theatre is going to have it that soon, too. Last year I had to wait until Feburary.
But ... I just had the most funny Twilight-related Sleepover weekend with my dear friend Becky and I successfully turned her in an JoA-Fan. Great, huh?

Few new pictures from New Moon/Eclipse.
First off, the Volturi
Dakota Fanning's eyes are gonna give me nightmares...
And now Kristen as Bella in Eclipse (BAD WIG ALERT)
I think she literally looks like a porcelain doll. Poor Edward... he's gonna have to try extra hard not to break her.
Offline
Whoa, those pictures are kinda scary! But I have to say that I imagined the place where they met the Volturi to be much darker and gloomier. I also didn't think they wore snazzy suits like that. Maybe that's just the old musty-graveyard vampire preconceptions.

What does this guy do to Alice? Was that in the book too? I think I need to reread it before seeing the movie.
