Sounds like a blast! And like nights everyone had a million years ago. Back when I turned 18 (we could drink at 18, then. Thank you, Richard Nixon) they had dime nights. For a few hours early in the evening you could buy drinks for 10 cents apiece. I would've killed myself with a budget of 60 dollars. Glad you had a good time!

The only reason I drank as much as I did was because it was Name That Tune night and we turned it into a drinking game, so every time my glass got empty, someone disappeared for a minute and I had another drink. Between every round one person from each team had to go up and answer some random question or do something stupid, I went up and the DJ looked at me and said "Ladies and gentlemen, I have five people standing in front of me. One of them can't ride all the rides at Kennywood but is apparently old enough to play Name That Tune at a bar." I got two free drinks for being a good sport then I got the question right so I got two shots.

LOL! I don't know what most of those mixed drinks are. I never was much into mixed drinks. I will drink a margarita, or maybe a G&T, or a mojito. Used to love bloody marys and white russians too. Mostly, I just drink beer. Unless someone else is buying.

We used to drink something called a Velvet Hammer. It tasted like a milkshake. Yum! That's the problem with drinking those drinks that taste too good. You never see it coming.:D

Oh i cant drink anything remotely creamy if i am having more than one. My stomach hates me for that. I am definitely a beer person. Without a doubt. Even if someone else is buying i am most likely to choose a beer. Its kinda amusing cos it used to annoy my dad no end cos neither of my brothers liked beer but i did. I was sposed to be the girl and like vodka rasberry or something. But over the years (Australia its legal at 18 to drink) he has learnt to embrace it and now there isnt much better than sitting back watching the footy or cricket on tv with my dad and a beer. Also we like to bring home a new beer every now and then for us each to try. Its fun to try the imported stuff or the micro brewery stuff. I am a big fan of the malty heavy flavoured european beers mmmmmm. But when its hot, the clean crisp fresh beers of the US are magnificent too. I like Millers quite alot actually. Ales, Draught, Stout...mmmm yummy yummy yummy. Hahaha i want a beer right now....Also, i do know that most people think of Australian beer as Fosters. But to be honest they pretty much make that to export it. I dont know ANYONE that actually drinks the stuff here. And I had better end my rant on beer there before i annoy people. I can ramble for hours...

She was an awesome mommy! One of my good friends' moms did that for me one time when I was 16. She made me a hot toddy for cramps. It was niiiiiiice. She was a nurse so I trusted her.

She probably would've made me something hot, except I was already sweating under my heating pad. She could make a delicious hot buttered rum. But the velvet hammer really hit the spot!
