I watched it and I'm so glad I did. Damn the commercials though! I actually yelled at the commercials, shut up and get back Chris and all of his sexiness right now!

Oh, and here's a question I wanna ask Chris... one of Rankin's friends said on Facebook that Chris was like a doppelganger for Kyle. Not that he looks like him, but that he talks and acts and moves and even has the same facial expressions as Kyle through the whole movie. And a couple of times, I noticed that he said a word differently than he normally does. Like "dog". So I'm really wondering now if Chris sorta based Cooper on Kyle. I certainly think Kyle based Cooper on Kyle in the script. I just wonder if it was conscious on Chris's part.

Stick your tongue in your cheek and hold onto your stomach for this terrific off-the-wall nod to 1950s creature features. Slacker office worker Cooper (Chris Marquette) gets all wrapped up in slimy webbing by a man-size bug who wants him for lunch. Heescapes and hooks up with other survivors to stamp out the insects. A Bug's Life it's not - but it is great squelchy and gooey fun.

Horror-comedy is not an easy genre to get right. Shaun of the Dead was great, while Lesbian Vampire Killers was dire.
Infestation doesn't quite hit the heights of Shaun, but it has enough gasps, gore and gags to hold the interest, and in its lead, Christopher Marquette, an amiable loser who tries to lead a group of survivors across a giant-insect-strewn America. Wonderful support by Ray Twin Peaks Wise and nice little nods to horror forebears from The Mist to The Fly.

Just got back home from seeing the movie! :dancing:

So far I can say I really loved it and had a great time, but since it's past 10pm and I felt very crappy for the rest of the day I just want to go to bed now. I'll give you my story tomorrow.

I know. I ordered the UK version, which was actually released yesterday. I know it's already on the way to me since I got a shipping confirmation last week. If it arrives on Friday, you're gonna have to wait for Saturday or Sunday for screencaps since I'm not home tomorrow night.

EDIT: Still no DVD today and I was also wrong, the UK version was released on Monday, not yesterday.

Okay, if delivery of my Infestation DVD takes as long as the Happiness DVD, then I won't get it before Sep 19. I'm gonna be in the UK from the 19th to the 26th. Great. I could have just as well bought it there! I don't think I'm gonna order at play.com again, cdwow.net and axelmusic.com are *way* faster. Play.com says to allow 3 - 5 days for delivery. Well, Happiness took 14!
