I absolutely love the yellow, "shotgun" poster. If I could get an actual poster of it, I'd frame it and hang it. Well, first I'd mail it to Chris and ask him to sign it, then I'd frame it and hang it.

In fact, Rick, the reason I'm more or less certain that that is an "unofficial DVD" is that it's the old art that Rankin specifically told me was never intended for release to the general public. It was created just to sell the concept to the studios.

Kyle Rankin just sent me a hi-res version of the Japanese movie poster. Looks like it's actually playing in theaters there, but since I don't speak Japanese, I can't be sure. Here it is:

Big Bugs Panic! About covers it, don't it?

Seems like the idea for this poster was to throw every bit of art ever created for any of the posters at it and see what sticks. LOL! I'm particularly fond of that very literal tagline: BIG BUGS PANIC And don't you love how they made a couple of the bugs Godzilla sized?

The Japanese above the "tagline" literally says "Biggu Baguzu Panniku" -- So I am assuming that they have changed the name of the movie from Infestation to Big Bugs Panic. In Japanese there are 3 different alphabets. When they want to say something from another language they use katakana. This is the easiest for me to read and understand, so I can read the title of the movie on the poster, but my Japanese isnt good enough to understand the writing at the top. Sorry guys!

If you look closely at the top line of the credits (in white), it still says Infestation. I think that's just a tagline.

Funny how you guys mentioned the Japanese poster having a whole bunch of stuff all over the place. I was in Japan about a month ago and saw posters for Wolverine...which had a random tyrannosaurus rex in the corner. Didn't recall there being a dinosaur in the movie, but it was definitely in the poster. It cracked me up everytime I saw it. Too bad my trip there wasn't now because it could have been neat to see Infestation dubbed in Japanese...maybe. Hehe. Okay, I'll admit it I'd mostly just want to see it in a theatre, being able to understand what they were saying would be secondary.

Not sure if they would have dubbed the movie into Japanese. If it's any indication, the trailer on their website isn't dubbed, the dialogues are in English with subtitles. As much as I despise the German dubbing, it would be really funny to see Chris speaking Japanese, though.
