The first 2 look great, I don't remember ever hearing of the last one.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I saw a preview for it at the movie theater like two years ago, I think.  The cast looks awesome and that's what caught my eye.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

500 Days of Summer is already out of DVD? Wow, cool! It just arrived at my theatre! LOL I might go see it soon and if I like it, I'm gonna buy it right after. I just found a 50€ bill that was hiding in a box for the last two years, so now I'm a rich girl! LOL

Post Grad is a great movie.
Anne, that's wonderful you found that money in your closet. I found $5 on the ground at the bowling alley like two weeks ago. You top me that though.

Finding money is GREAT! LOL
It's just that I might not be able to see 500 Days of Summer on big screen here because the online schedule of my threatre shows it only for this week and it's not on the schedule for next week. But I am going to call them later today and ask if they'll have it again the week after next because this week I might not have the time to go see the movie. But I want to see it so bad!

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Okay, so since there was still some money left when I bought the new ink cartridges for my printer and I spotted this for less than 10 €, this is my newest DVD purchase:

If I hadn't known about this movie before I would have bought it just because of the cover.

I'm tempted to buy district 9 and star trek once I can pay my bills off for school supplies for my classroom... I was happy to see District 9 nominated for oscars.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Went out to get a bite to eat and try to pick up The Hurt Locker at Blockbuster.  I found an old gift card in my wallet and asked them to check the balance.  It had $25 on it!  I had no idea I even had the card. LOL!  So I bought a movie that I loved in the theater and wanted to eventually buy anyway.  They had a used copy...

Oh, and I did rent The Hurt Locker.  Gonna try to watch it now before the game starts.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I've always wanted to see Knowing. It never came here in OV. Haven't seen the DVD for under 10 EUR yet, though, and I'm not willing to spend more than that on it for a movie that I don't know whether I'm gonna like it or not.

Considering our batting average recently, you'll probably hate it because I love it so much.

I know this is strange and kind of OT but whenever I see the Knowing poster it reminds me of the German KINOWELT logo.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

It's not a cheesy action movie.  You gotta pay attention.  But I found it riveting so that wasn't a problem.

Loved District 9.  Haven't seen Moon yet, but I definitely want to.  I almost picked it up at Blockbuster last weekend when I went to rent The Hurt Locker.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Moon, another movie that never made its way to German theaters. I'm very interested in seeing it. I saw District 9 in the theater and thought it was excellent, but I'm not sure I want to own it on DVD.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

My copy of
41TzoPYVlTL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
arrived today. I purchased it from cd-wow because they were offering the Asian DVD for just five bucks. (It has a different cover, but I was too tired to search for the right one. The picture above shows the German Version.)
On a side note, I noticed how most of my favorite actors/actresses make me watch so many horror movies because I want to see their work although I officially hate horror. LOL I just think it's funny. But The Messengers is a special one for me because it also features John Corbett, whom I only knew from those cheesy romantic comedies like My Big Fat Greek Wedding or Raising Helen, in a totally CREEPY role and that's another reason why I actually 'enjoy' watching The Messengers.
