I just saw Infestation yesterday and I loved it. It's really funny and not quite as cheesy as I anticipated. It was really fun and it was great seeing Chris in a starring role. Some of the effects were pretty good too, especially the hybrids. Those things were creepy.

The only thing weird was the ending but I heard they did that on purpose so that they could do a sequel. I kind of hope they do, if it was planned that way.

Did you get the DVD? Kyle Rankin explains in the commentary that he shot an ending that he didn't like, so he just cut it off and left the ending open. They did originally sign a 3-picture deal, but since they couldn't find theatrical distribution for the first one, I doubt they'll make any more. Which sucks because I love Cooper!

I have the DVD but I didn't listen to the commentary. I can't listen to commentary on my first viewing of the movie, I like seeing the movie a couple of times first and then listening to the commentary.

Oh yeah, no way I'd listen to commentary until I was familiar with the movie. I just meant for future reference, he does explain it on there. It's a nice little commentary, but he beats himself up a lot for not getting the shot he wanted here and there. I enjoyed it though.

Great. I bought the Infestation UK Blu-ray because I thought it would be way more fun to see Chris in high definition, but apprently it's not made to play in Sony Blu-ray players. The picture gets kinda pixely and there's these square blocks in the picture. In other words, it's pretty much unwatchable. It doesn't seem to be a disc error because it plays fine on my laptop. I'm probably gonna return it. I guess I'm "only" meant to see this movie in DVD quality.
