Re: Fanboys

I wonder how much he shook his bottle of beer. It's full of foam. And I just have to laugh when I look at Jay in this cap.

Re: Fanboys

Ernie Cline - father of Fanboys (original writer) has a hilarious website!

Check it out: http://www.ernestcline.com

You gotta listen to Nerd Porn Auteur on the Spoken Word Page.  It's really funny and kinda beautiful.  I think I love this guy!

Re: Fanboys

I've been to his site just two or three weeks ago and checked it out in detail. Didn't listen to the Spoken Word, though. I'll put that on my to-do list.

Ernie has some awesome spoken word downloads. The nerd porn and airwolf one's are my favorite.

Re: Fanboys

Whoever's waiting for the highlight reel to be put online will have to wait quite a while longer. We just heard that Kyle said there are currently no plans to publish it online. They probably want to keep it under wraps until they've toured all the cons. Which kinda makes sense, but sucks for all the fans out there who can't go to the cons and are dying to see that thing. <points wildly at herself>

Re: Fanboys

Aw, Sean, if you dig Nerd Porn Auteur and find truth in it, you're definitely my kinda guy!  Now why can't I meet a guy like that in real life?  Should I be cruising comic book stores and cons more often?  wink

You better believe it Deb! lol

Oh, I'm hoping that there's some sort of Fanboys panel at the Star Wars Celebration 4! Maybe they'll show the footage there. wink

And I'm hoping there's some sort of Fanboys panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe in London in July and that Chris can come too. Because then I'd be off to London in a heartbeat. smile

I tried listening to it but it takes ages to load. Ah well, I guess I wouldn't understand it anyway so it's ok.

Tina,
Are you planning on going to the Celebration in Europe? Or does it depend on if Chris will be there ?

Re: Fanboys

If I know for sure that Chris is gonna be there, you betcha I'm gonna be there too! I've been to London a few times before, I love England. Accomodation prices are a b...., but I'd figure something out. But I'm afraid I'm not enough of a SW geek to go just for the con.

Chris might not have time to fly to Europe in July. And there's no word out yet that Kyle and the guys are actually gonna be there. Guess we'll have to wait and see. But it would be awesome if he did and I could go. I kinda see me going there to meet Chris like a soap bubble that's waiting to be popped. wink I wish someone would post a schedule at which cons they're gonna appear.

Re: Fanboys

This sounds like fun:
Galaxy of 'Star Wars' Films To Be Showcased

The Star Wars films, long a favorite target of video spoofs posted online and even full-length dramatic knock-offs, are now giving birth to the "Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge" -- an event being created by Lucasfilm, AtomFilms, and SpikeTV. The three companies on Wednesday announced that they had set up a website, http://starwars.atomfilms.com, where Star Wars fans could submit videos for a chance to have them showcased on Spike TV during the channel's coverage of Lucasfilm's Star Wars Celebration IV convention in Los Angeles (May 24-28), commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release of Star Wars.

I don't know why I never checked their website until today, but one of the local radio stations was at the Theater scene shoot and posted a few pics last year. We're in a couple of them. Check it out:

Re: Fanboys

They're cool, Sean. Thanks for posting. I think I recognized you. You're the guy in the black armor, right? The one in your avatar. Please forgive me if I can't say what kind of SW character that's supposed to be. <hangs head>

Yes, my armor is now a movie prop, yay! lol
The costume has all kinds of names: Shadow Trooper, Stealth Trooper, Dork in plastic. Any of those will work.
