I've only been watching for a couple of seasons, but I've seen a ton of older eps now because it's syndicated all over the place.

OK, so I'm trying to read the Friday Night Lights recap on TWoP and there's a headline on the sidebar that just keeps distracting me and making me grin. I can't help myself. Who would've ever thunk it? "Amber Tamblyn Joins HOUSE". Wow. I just can's stop smiling and daydreaming about what it's going to be like. Wonder if she'll be constantly sexually harassed like 13 was.

I love House! I even have the first two seasons on DVD at home, and I'm planning to get the rest of them soon, too. I can't wait for Amber's episodes!

Finally, Fox has announced via press release that Amber Tamblyn (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) will appear in a multi-episode story arc on House M.D. She'll play a new member of Dr. House's team who is brought into Princeton Plainsboro though she is not technically yet qualified to practice medicine. Like many of the doctors who encounter House's unique approach to his work, she'll be confronted with the morally and ethically questionable way that he practices medicine. Will she stand a chance against House's incessant sarcasm and perpetual 5 o'clock shadow? Tune in to find out. Check out part of the officiall press release below:
Amber Tamblyn has signed on to appear in the upcoming season of HOUSE for a multi-episode story arc. She will play a brilliant and aggressive medical student whom DR. HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) hires as a new team member although she is technically not yet qualified to practice medicine. Tamblyn's character will be confronted with the morally and ethically questionable way that House practices medicine.
The seventh season premiere of HOUSE airs Monday, Sept. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
With an impressive resume for a young actress, Amber Tamblyn's breakout role was the title character in the critically acclaimed television series "Joan of Arcadia." Her work on the show earned her both Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations, and for her work opposite Tilda Swinton in the film "Stephanie Daley," Tamblyn was honored with a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination in 2007. She will next be seen in Danny Boyle's "127 Hours" opposite James Franco and in John Doyle's "Main Street" with Orlando Bloom and Colin Firth. Most recently seen in "Beyond a Reasonable Doubt" opposite Michael Douglas, Tamblyn's other film credits include "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" alongside Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Blake Lively. Additional television credits include "The Unusuals," "Boston Public" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." An acclaimed writer, Tamblyn has published two poetry books and is a co-founder of WRITE NOW Poetry Society, a non-profit organization that raises funds for poetry programming. She also collaborated on "The Drums Inside Your Chest," a performance-poetry concert film.

Self described "smart-ass tough chick", Amber Tamblyn is having a ball getting older in Hollywood. She grew up before our eyes, first joining General Hospital at the age of 11 before winning acclaim playing the title role in the television series Joan of Arcadia. But at age 26 she's a full blown leading lady and perfectly comfortable showing it off a little. "There's been a lot of emphasis on sexuality in my life," she says. "When you're doing these womanly roles, there are literally contracts about showing 'side boob' in a sex scene. I'm not going to take my top off for some random reason, but I'm certainly not against doing a nude scene if it's for something great. I'm not always going to look like this."

The LA native, raised in Venice, can currently be seen in the stylish remake of the noir classic Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, also starring Michael Douglas and Jesse Metcalfe. Tamblyn plays assistant DA to Douglas' character, with whom she formed quite a bond. "He's a hot silver fox," says Tamblyn. "We're both political junkies. He reads every single newspaper on the planet. It was really fun for me. And, of course, he's a brilliant actor."

Tamblyn will next be seen in Main Street, alongside Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Patricia Clarkson, and Ellen Burstyn. "It's the last thing Horton Foote wrote before he died," she says, "so it's quite special."

Meanwhile, her other career as an author is getting a recharge with a second book of poetry (out this month), called Bang Ditto. She'll embark on a cross-country tour to support it. "It's the most personal work I've ever written. I'm really proud of it," says Tamblyn. "It's about being in a fiercely image-based industry."

We wonder where she could've gotten the idea for that.

After I couldn't see BaRD I really hope Main Street will make it to Germany somehow. Preferable of course to my little OV theatre (Or maybe even to England if I'm still there then). Amber on big screen starring opposite Colin Firth AND Orlando Bloom - I am NOT going to miss this!

That picture is officially my favorite picture of Amber. I could totally see myself being friends with Amber. She is so down to earth and original not to mention she has a great sense of humor.
