I've been wanting to visit Atlanta for years now. To know there's someone I could visit too makes it even more so. Definetely on the list of places to visit if I ever get to go to USA.

You can actually fly directly from Stuttgart to Atlanta ... and wouldn't that be great if we could have another dorquette meet up for a CHRIS*tmas fest? This is what I'd like to do for Christmas, because I always wanted to spend Christmas abroad.

You might be right. I do like warm weather, and sauna in 50-60c, but too hot is too hot. As a constant thing that is. At least from sauna, its possible to leave when I want.. I'll bet Hotlanta is beautiful in the Spring!

I figured I rather post this in the Road Trip Thread. I'm going to England tomorrow finally! In case you don't know, it's a 4 day trip and I'll be back Monday night or Tuesday morning (German Time) by the latest. I don't know if we have internet at our hotel or if I'll have enough time to come online. I guess you'll see. But I will probably update my Twitter/Facebook via mobile phone.

Well, Kate hit the road this morning, heading to Miami. We had a blast and it all zoomed by in a blur. A week gone and it seemed like a couple of days. Last night was a hoot and a half. The Aussie Footy Grand Finals game was played at 1 AM local time and it ended in a draw! All of Ozland is freaking out. Kate Skyped with her parents after the game and it was quite a spectacle observing how passionate these fans are. A hundred thousand people had to leave the stadium with no resolution. They get to play another game next weekend. Mostly, I can't believe we stayed up till 5 AM and Kate slept a few hours and hit the road at 8 AM! Ah, the stamina of youth! Me, I just dragged my ass out of bed at 2 PM!

Bottom line, it was a great visit and Kate is a really awesome person. So glad I got to meet her!

This was yesterday, atop Stone Mountain, looking out over Atlanta...
