I still haven't seen that one.  I'll have to put it in my Netflix queue.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

It's the best one of the series (so far), you really should see it if you have the chance to.

I definitely want to.  Just couldn't afford to see it in the theater.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I still haven't even bought the New Moon Blu-ray. Still waiting for the price to go down... I will buy Eclipse eventually too, of course. My most recent purchase was Inception. And after that season one of White Collar (which I don't have yet).

By the way, some a**hole made off with my Avatar limited edition Blu-rays. Hermes (the courier) said they delivered it. Someone called "Freddie" even signed for it. It never arrived at the destination where it was supposed to go to, though. I just hope I'm gonna get my 90 quid back from play.com. Of course the limited edition is sold out now, so I'm never gonna see it, unless I buy it for something ridiculous like 140 pounds off the UK eBay.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Wow, that sucks, Tina! I hope that'll work out for you.
I would have loved to buy the DVD/BluRay Combo of Eclipse because it has more special features, but since you can't play American BluRays here and I don't have the money to buy a BluRay player I chose to buy the normal DVD. Maybe one day BluRays will work for me, too. I can dream, right? roll

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

You're probably smart to wait, TeeJay.  I'll bet that as soon as all 5 movies are out, they'll have deals on a special boxed set that'll have more features and be a better price than the individual sets.

Well, that statement isn't really true in a general sense. There are codefree US Blu-rays that you can play anywhere. You can look it up here: http://bluray.liesinc.net/ Eclipse isn't listed yet, but since the Twilight Blu-rays aren't codefree, there's a good chance Eclipse won't be either...

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I hate people like that TeeJay....just me angry and worked up. But I am glad to see the twilight dvds are making the rounds. I havent bought them myself actually. I have watched the movies and liked them....but honestly dont think I liked them that much that I want to own them. There is still more movies to come!

I actually really wanna see the new Harry Potter in cinemas, but I may have to take a day off travelling to do it. I dont think it will still be in cinemas by the time I get home sad (completely random and off topic I know, but this is how my brain works haha)

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Well, if you wanna go to the cinema, better do it while you're still in an English-speaking country. It's gonna be hard to find a movie without dubbing in countries like France, Italy or Germany. smile

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Hehehe well then looks like I may not see it after all. Although watching a movie with dubbing could be cool! Even if I didnt understand it. I think it would only be fun if I knew the movie well enough to not need to hear the English though. I am going to Belgium tomorrow on the train smile Should be awesome and amazing and all the rest of it. London is brilliant. I really do like this place, although it has got to be one of the more expensive places to live. YIKES!

How long are you in Belgium? Do you have any friends there?  I can try to hook you up with my friend, Joe if you want.  He's awesome.

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

I have 4 nights booked, but I wont get in until tomorrow around 4 in the afternoon so I wont get to do much for one of the days. I will be staying in Brussels but I am hoping to pull a day trip to Bruges. Where is your friend Joe?

Hahaha well I WOULD have given you a proper hug but you are rather far away from where I am right now, so mental hug will have to do. Its like a virtual hug

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

It's a good thing that I bought these dvds before I signed a new contract for my new apartment cause I probably won't be able to  buy any more dvds! To honor my first full year of teaching (as I was hired in December) I bought Psych all seasons and then Chuck season 2. That's what I plan on doing all Christmas break! I indulged myself just a bit!

Re: Post your recent DVD purchases

Your so right Deb! Thanks for not making me feel so guilty about it.  Psych just makes me happy. after a long tough day I know I can always go to that show to make me laugh and put me in a good mood.  That's why i got them!  I did however get my sister Vampire Diaries for Christmas.  I have a feeling she already has it though and will return it for something else.  oh well,  you gotta do your best.

Whilst I must be the only person my age to never have seen it, I went out and bought Zombieland today.

how much fun!  We watched this in 4th grade. I think because my last name is the same as the family in this series.  It would be really fun to own!
