Cool review. Yeah, he definitely needs to see American Gun.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Question...

When they go to the motel party, Keith is wearing that brown t-shirt and blue jeans.  That's what he's wearing again after the party.  So what the heck is the patterned black and gray that he's wearing here...?  Are his pants down?  Is that his underwear?

Yeah, but the words that come out of Keith's mouth make what David yells at Janet sounds like a lullaby. wink

Maybe his nookie-wear... Easy to get off and on, you know. smile I have no idea. Maybe his swimming pants or something? These guys always have pools with their houses, don't they?

That's quite right, yeah. wink

I have no idea if that's his underwear. At least it doesn't look as hilarious as these flower pants he wears at Frankie's house. (It was Frankie's house, was it?) I will hopefully soon be able to watch the dubbed version in a theater, maybe I can tell you then what exactly it is. If you wanna wait that long, because the earliest I can go there is next Saturday.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Okay, here's the facts. He is wearing the same brown t-shirt and blue jeans in the hacky-sack scene (= before the party) and in the car scene (= after the party). I think what we see in the bathroom scene is his boxers. You can even see them a little in the hacky-sack scene because his jeans are so loose-fitting that they kinda slide down as he's jumping around. Have a look:

AD_Boxers1.jpg

AD_Boxers2.jpg

So at some point he was getting it on with that blonde chick and they started removing clothes. His clothes. He probably found them again afterwards (even though he said he didn't know what happened to his shirt) and put them on again.

And isn't that thing dark green and olive? Why do I feel weird talking about Keith's underwear? tongue

Could also be that his jeans are down at his ankles by the time we see him standing there with the girl against the wall.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

I think I am going to see the movie some time next week in Stuttgart. Alone. I need to see it. I wouldn't do it if I could understand the English version better, but my English is still not good enough for a movie like that. *sigh* And I know that I have to write down my review soon, otherwise nobody will be interested in reading it anymore. roll
Tina, I might need your help with the translation, but I guess you already know about that.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Yeah, sure, I can help with the translation. It would be cool to have a review of yours in German for the German part of the website. I hope you like watching the movie on the big screen as much as I did. It really makes much more of an impression and has more of an impact. So please go see it in the theater. Matt Barry will also be happy that we'll have one more paying customer who went to see it. He asked me how full the theater was when I went on Thursday.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Well, the only thing that sucks is that I can't watch it with Chibi now, but that's kinda okay. I'll try to wait until I get home to "talk" about it here. They're going to show it on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 6.15pm and 8pm. I guess I'll make it to an 6.15 show if I go to Stuttgart right after class next week. Woo, now I am exited! big_smile Do you think I need a ticket reservation?

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

I guess it could be his underwear.  But it looks tighter than boxers.  At first, I thought he was wearing low-slung spandex pants of some sort, before I realized he should've been wearing jeans in that scene.  If he went into the bathroom with no pants or shirt on, just in his underwear, Frankie probably would've asked, "Where are your clothes?" or even "Where are your pants?", certainly not "Where's your shirt?"  And I don't see there being any time to get his pants down *during* that scene.

Also, I can't say I feel the slightest bit weird talking about Keith's underwear.  This is the kind of stuff I've been waiting to talk about.  If you guys are gonna be grudge me, well...

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

Okay, guys, just for a laugh, imagine Universal had asked Nick to make the movie PG-13 after it was shot and they had to loop everything. Hehe...

Frankie: This little sucker can fight.
Keith: Hey, open the door.
Frankie: Shut the frig up, we're fightin', there no room for idiots.
Zack: Or friggin' homos.
Frankie: No friggin' homos. Let that bag of monkey crap in.
Keith: Who called me a bag of monkey crap?
Frankie: Jesus, what happened to your shirt, man?

Doesn't quite sound so impressive, does it?

I'll be watching that version on broadcast TV one of these days...

Frankie: Kiss my butt!
Keith: No you kiss my butt.
Frankie: Kiss it!
Keith: Kiss it!
Frankie: Kiss it!

And I am worried about the German version. I bet it's not going to be that funny. There is no good translation for this kind of thing. roll
That's why I am happy that I happened to see the English version first.

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

I was looking at the kid videos at the beginning of the movie again, and I don't think Chris is in it. You can very clearly recognize Anton and Shawn and that blond guy, Alex something. But I couldn't tell you who's Emile or Justin. And I'm sure Abbie would yell at me now. smile

What scene is that? I can't remember right now.

I have to admit, the only one I recognized in the kid videos was Anton Yelchin ... I have to watch that again ...

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

The "tube steak boogie" scene is the naughty one, Chris's very first in the movie. Where he does the thing with the tongue and the fist. He asks Mrs. Hartunian if she's gonna give her husband a little "tube steak boogie" on their anniversary (which she probably does, judging from the scene we see later).

Re: Alpha Dog (STRONG LANGUAGE & ADULT CONTENT)

I don't think Chris is in the home movies either.  I asked Tisha about it and she said she didn't know if he gave any home movies to Nick, which leads me to believe he didn't.  Surely, she'd remember if he came home and said, "Hey Mom, Nick's putting together a montage of scenes of the kids when they were little. Do we have any home movies we can give him?"  Also, we all know what he he would've looked like, and none of us see him in there.

Matt told Abbie that Emile is the baby in the crib looking up at the bird mobile.  No idea about Justin.

No wonder I didn't recognize him! Noone can expect me to recognize him as a baby! (In fact I don't think I would recognize anyone from baby pictures except maybe myself but that's easy with the birthmarks. LOL)
Can you tell me where Shawn is, I didn't recognize him, the only one I could clearly identijy was Anton. I'm a blindy! sad

Shawn is the one who comes toward the camera in the muscle tee that says Life's A Beach.  You can tell he was already an outgoing little kid in that brief clip.

I think you can see Shawn at least twice, but he's in one shot I remember where he must be about 8 or 9. The camera pans up and you see him smiling into it from a downwards angle. You really can't miss him, he looks a lot like he looks now, even that young.

Oops, looks like Deb and I posted at the same time. LOL
