Oh, I did watch that, you can be sure of that. It's just that she did say that several times to YOU. She never said that about my English. I mean, okay, a lot of other people say my English is good, but I know it's not. I mean, look, I can't even post a review about a movie here. Because reading the reviews of other people is much more easier than writing it myself. I know that sounds weird, but it's true. I can understand a lot but you may have noticed by now why I often post only short answers or quote a lot. This is not because I don't have my own opinion. It's why I just don't know how to say it in another way than you. But well, I can stop posting like that. I know you don't like it.

Have you posted there recently? Has she had the chance to say that on the AD board? Yes, my English is probably exceptional, but I'm betting you that half of the people who post there cannot speak another language as well as you can speak English. Just keep that in mind.

It's okay if you can't put your thoughts into words enough to post them in English. You can write fan fiction quite well. I find writing down a review or my thoughts about a movie way easier than that. But I guess every person is different. And just quoting someone and saying "me too" is just lame, even if it's the truth. My opinion. Sorry.

Maybe it would work if you didn't think so hard about what you're trying to say or how you're trying to say it. And who's gonna read it. Just reflect on the movie, see what you think about it. What impressed you most about it? What scenes did you find the most intense? What scenes moved you the most? Was there something in the movie that you felt had a special significance, had an impact on you personally? When you reflect on the movie now, what scenes do you remember most, do you think about most?

What quotes can you remember (if you can)? When you close your eyes, what is the scene that you see first? What scene would you go back to and rewind if you wanted to? Whose performance impressed you most? Who had the best line and what was it?

I could come up with tons more questions. Want me to?

Oh, and I've been meaning to say this for a long time now, but always forgot. When I was sitting in that dingy little theater in Cologne, there was a Joan line that was very much present in my head: "I want color and THX and stadium seating and cup holders! The Rialto smells like a nursing home." Okay, that theater does have stadium seating (Thank God!), but the rest pretty much fits. But God bless them for showing movies in their original version.

I downloaded those Chris clips, it was very nice to get a Chris fix. It's been awhile... I do not know when Alpha Dog is going to make it to NZ, and whether or not it'll go to cinema. I wasn't hugely worried about spoiling it since I didn't think it'd be my type of movie, but I think I might have jumped to conclusions. It might actually be better than I originally thought.

I'm probably in for a bit of a wait, but you never know, I've been surprised before.

Hello, I was just wondering you guys. I read somewhere that Alpha Dog and the Movie the Notebook were connected in some way, other than Nick Cassavetes being the director. Does anyone know in what way? I saw both movies and I think I might have seen something in the notebook that did have to do with Alpha Dog, but I wanted to ask someone else to see what they thought.

It is quite a shocking and very gritty movie. If you've read our posts here, you'll know what language is in it. I mean, it's hardly an exaggerration if you say every third word is an f-word. But it was necessary to set the tone for the movie, it wouldn't have worked any other way. I'm sure Nick would have said no if the studio had said they'd finance the movie, but only if it was PG-13. But it's not a movie that just wants to shock and doesn't have much substance. It is deeply disturbing on many levels, and it has a lot of layers. It's a movie that I still think about at times, even though it's more than a week ago since I've first seen it. You might just like it, Susanna. I hope you do. And that it comes to NZ soon. (Have I mentioned I will be in Christchurch and Auckland in May?)

Pretty easy, Justin Timberlake was going to play the character that Ryan played, but I recall that both Nick & Justin agreed that he wasn't right for the part. But Nick remembered him from that and cast him in AD.

The only other connection I know between AD and The Notebook is that Shawn Hatosy and Heather Wahlquist are in both movies. Oh, and I think Matt Barry cast them both. And then of course there's the whole thing about Chris saying, "Dude, The Notebook is soooooo gay," in Just Friends. Other than that, I'm stumped and I've seen AD 6 times and The Notebook twice.

Can you be a little more specific, CamaroMoon? Something to do with the story? Or something behind the scenes?

Ah, here's something I forgot to tell you. The movie is rated 16 here. When I came home from the movies, my mom asked me what the movie was about and I said drugs and murder. Then she said: Ah yeah, I noticed that the movie was rated 16." She was actually worried about me seeing this movie!

I used to play badminton every week at university. Not that I'm that good at it, but at least I'd like to think I'm decent. We never played it in school, maybe that's why it's fun doing it now for me. It's just that I haven't played for years. And I've been using muscles in my body that I haven't used in a long time--and I used them hard on Wednesday. Now it's muscle payback time. But at least it's a good kind of pain, if you know what I mean. And it's good to know that it'll go away again after a few days.

Well, we've been good in March. We went there seven times. That's our new record. LOL Today I had a change in my training, they introduced me to a new maschine. Boy, I didn't even know that I had muscles there! LOL But yeah, I'm getting there. I feel my back getting stronger, that's great actually.

Yeah, I've heard you talk about the language and content here, I don't think it'll be a huge problem for me, but then of course I haven't seen it. I love movies (and books) that stay with you.

That's cool that you're coming to Auckland and Christchurch, and in May which is a very cool month for two reasons - 1, it's my birthday, and 2, it's New Zealand Music Month, which is always awesome. Hope you enjoy it.
