Looks ... weird.

Yeah. I mean, who's the girl between Ben and Justin? And Anton's not on it either. I like the other poster better.
Here's something funny. My colleague Hellen came up to me today and said: "Hey, you told me that this guy you like is in Alpha Dog, right? I saw the poster the other day and there's a lot of faces on it, so I tried to spot him. He's not on it, is he?"
No. Unfortunately not. I sent her the manipulated poster I made afterwards. Why can't they make a The Invisible poster that Chris is on?? I really need a new poster for my bathroom wall.

Yeah, I wondered about that girl too. And yeah, it's a shame that Chris is not on the poster. That reminds me of something ... they had the poster hanging outside of the cinema in Stuttgart, along with the Pool picture. But unfortunately somebody covered Chris with another green sheet of paper with some announcements about showtimes and Halp prize day and stuff like that, so nobody could see him.
You notice something? I'm bored. The course is lame. They're still learning how to write with ten fingers. I already can. So I surfed the net the whole day. LOL

I think the girl on the poster is Olivia Wilde, who played Johnny's girlfriend Angela. I don't like it much either.
And how are they gonna have a poster of The Invisible with Chris on it when they don't even have one with Justin on it --- where you can actually see that it's him --- and he's the star?

I know it ain't happening. That won't stop me from saying I want it, though. (And am I the only one to think the TI poster is kinda lame?)

It looks OK in the theatre, but I wouldn't buy it or anything.

Here's a short review that was posted the 1Live website, the radio station I usually listen to:
Bitter Aftertaste
"Alpha Dog - Deadly Friendship"
by Andrea Burtz
A true story that gets under your skin: 15-year-old, shy Zack is kidnapped for everyone to see. By taking Zack, Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch) and his friends (among others Justin Timberlake in his first big silver screen role) want to force Zack's brother (Ben Foster) to pay off his debts. What they want to make clear is that this is about principle and hierarchy and not about the money--because they live in luxury, deal drugs. The kidnapping is just meant to entertain the group of friends a little. But when they realize that it will get them into jail, the fun is suddenly over, the situation escalates. Truelove wants to kill Zack. The murder that "Alpha Dog" reconstructs was in the news for weeks in the US in 2000. Only five years later the now 25-year-old Jesse James Hollywood was caught in Brasil - the movie was already in production at that point.
Director Nick Cassavetes had access to court and police files--which almost proved to be the movie's downfall. The defendant's lawyers wanted to keep the movie from being released, so as to not influence the jury and the defendants. Which is not surprising, since the movie is a sort of chronicle that reminds you of a documentary; it shows violence-prone youths without any morals and especially without a sense of justice.
They swear, drink and beat people up in abundance. Director Nick Cassavetes tries to illustrate this wild life through jumps in time and a lot of wobbly hand-held camera movements--that are just as unsteady as Truelove and his unscrupulous friends, who chase away boredom with drugs. Those who sit through the whole, restless, very grueling movie will have just taken a ride through hell--and walk out with a lingering, bitter aftertaste.

Illinois, the problem is often that sites don't allow hot-linking of their images directly. The pictures will show up for you because they're still in your cache. I frequently have the same problem. You'd have to upload them somewhere else and link them from there or just post the URLs for the site(s) you found them on.

Very slight difference between the one above and this one.

Ew, I don't like the one with scruffy Johnny on the Wanted poster. The last one's kinda cool and different, except for the anvilicious box around Justin's name. Gee, thanks, I'm so glad you put that box around there or I would not have noticed he was in the movie.

Yes, that worked, thanks! Okay, the yellow one is really lame. The others are kinda cool. One thing's missing: Keith Stratten.

Oh, and the bag Johnny's carrying in that last poster brings up a point I've wanted to make for a long time, but I keep forgetting...
In the real case, there was all this talk about Jesse Hollywood giving Ryan Hoyt a black gym bag with the gun he was supposed to use on Nick Markowitz in it. And I think there was mention by Jesse Rugge of Hollywood carrying around a bag that made a "metallic" sound when he put it down. Part of the prosecution's case revolves around the fact that Hollywood provided Hoyt with the murder weapon. If he did, then that pretty much seals his guilt in ordeirng the hit, doesn't it?
OK, so in the movie, when Johnny shows up at Frankie's dad's house and presents the idea of killing Zack, he's carrying a black gym bag. But we never see (or hear) what's inside. And when he and Elvis have their little parking lot confab before Angela's birthday dinner, Johnny is not shown giving the gym bag to Elvis. Why not? Did they film that stuff and then cut it out? Otherwise, I can't for the life of me figure out why Johnny would've been carrying that bag into Frankie's house with him.

Agreed. LOL I just thought the same. And yeah, Keith is definitely missed on those posters. The original one is still the best, but of course I prefer the Dorquette version.

I found this at this site:
http://www.cdcovers.cc/search/all/alpha-dog
Now the question I have is, how in the world would the DVD have 2 audio commentaries and deleted scenes, or is that just bogus. I mean this is not the legit US cover art, but if someone created the DVD how would they have gotten hold of these extras.
It would really make me mad if such a DVD was available, even if it isn't legit. And all we get on the legit DVD is 2 extras.

I kinda like the cover, but I also wonder where whoever made the cover got the info about the extras. It looks like something that someone put together. It's a whole lotta specific information for someone who was just guessing about the extras, though. Too weird.

The info about the commentaries is a bit too specific, yeah. Something's fishy here. Someone should PM Nick about this.
