Buffy had 7 seasons, Angel had 5. Between the two of them, that's 12 seasons of Whedony goodness.

It's a nice thing to marathon during the summer. I just got my buffy dvds in. Can't wait to watch them for my spring break! I haven't watched Angel in a while. I think I might wait until summer to do that marathon though. I've got lots of other tv shows to get caught up on too!

oh you're right! it's a match made in heaven! both the two series, and the couple. I've been secretly wishing that they'd have James Marsters visit Supernatural. Charisma is a nice addition. She'll make a great witch!

This Bandwagon webshow with Emma Caufield aka Anya is pretty bad. but fastforward around 7 minutes and see how much hotter Andrew got! Oh wow! He's been doing something right the last years! where's that chinless geek? of course Emma is very hot too, but I don't even know what they were all talking about. their voices just made me kinda tune out. that pretentious reality tv talkstyle. ek..

Even with my distaste on teenage girls, I started watching Pretty little liars last night. Just now I was checking some of the actors on IMDB because I had a funny feeling I know some of them from somewhere. I had a "WOW!" moment when I realised that the girl who played Kendra on Buffy plays Maya on PLL. She looks so young! and hawt! rawr! lol

everyone ready for some 'Ringer' with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Glad she is back on tv, but anxious about the show. They are showing the trailer way too much it seems. That always worries me.... I'll still watch the first few episodes to see what it's like though...

I'm right there with you on that one, Lindsey. It helps that I also love Kris Pohala. I just don't feel any connection with any of the characters at all in the previews I've seen so far.

Pilot to ringer on tonight. will probably watch both this week's episode and next week's episode next weekend. Too many things going on to focus on a new show! I'm excited to see SMG on air again, but a little anxious about the show to be honest!

i did actually watch Ringer. Two things I have to say about it. They need to fix the backdrop - really fake background, very noticeable green screen. There were too many plots for the first episode. It felt like two or three different shows in one episode. But I am intrigued and will probably watch a couple more to see if the show settles down a little bit. I was glad to see another familiar Buffy alumni and a Lost alumni too. We'll see what happens though. Glad to see SMG back in her element, she did do well with the characters. That's just my opinion of what I saw! Will keep watching...

Joss Whedon Producing Supernatural Romance In Your Eyes:

Deadline reports that Joss has already announced the next Bellwether film, a supernatural romance called In Your Eyes (with apologies to Peter Gabriel).

In Your Eyes will tell the story of two "polar opposites" who prove to be connected in strange, and no doubt romantic, ways. Whedon himself wrote the script, but directorial duties will fall to Brin Hill. Whedon's statement says that he wrote In Your Eyes a while ago but didn't have the apparatus to get it made without a studio involved. Now he has Bellwether Pictures to fill that gap, as well as a noted increase in "moxie." Here's what he had to say:
“When I wrote In Your Eyes, I didn’t have the wherewithal (or the moxie) to make it without an established production house ... I believe, as I did then, that it’s a pretty timeless romance, and now, with the creation of Bellwether Pictures (and Brin Hill’s elegant, passionate take on the piece), I have the opportunity to prove it. (I also have a 37% increase in moxie.)"

Between Much Ado and In Your Eyes we can begin to get a feel for what sort of pictures Bellwethers will be producing: small, intimate, unusual. The sort of stuff that might normally travel the festival or art-house circuit, but which will now get the attention that having Whedon's name attached will provide. And who knows, maybe they'll eventually broaden their mandate and lure Joss back to the small screen for a new show...

Sounds cool, but I'll wait to see the cast. The Much Ado film has a great Whedonverse cast, except I don't care for Nathan Fillion.

I'll have to look into Much Ado About Nothing. I hadn't heard about this one. I had been following a scary movie he wrote that looked fun: Cabin in the Woods, that has lots of Whedonverse alumnus as well!

I just remembered that I forgot to tell you I met Charisma Carpenter at RingCon, too. I didn't take a picture with her (was too busy covering four other fandoms, lol) but I got her autograph. Will post a picture as soon as I have my scanner installed here.
