Sean, I still owe you the letter you're supposed to give to Kyle. Not that I've come very far with it. I'll try to put some thought into it over the weekend. If Chris starts shooting the alien bug movie end of May, I wonder if he's gonna be at the con or if he's in Bulgaria then already. Guess you'll see. Make sure to endlessly harrass him for us if he's there. Kyle too, of course.

I hate to come off as optimistic here, heaven knows. But why couldn't Chris jet over from Bulgaria to London just for Saturday at the con? Seems highly do-able to me. As of now, he still thinks he's going to be in Las Vegas in June for Choose Connor. Could be that he has already planned for a flight out on that weekend too. It's possible.

Yeah, well, I still have to get over the fact that actors jet around half the globe for something like 15 hours in business or first class for puny things like a day at con. Totally not my world. Sure, it's possible that he'll turn up. Hope he does, of course.

This is part of what Kyle told Frosty from Collider:
The plan is for all of the main cast to join me on stage -- Sam Huntington, Jay Baruchel, Dan Fogler, Kristen Bell... (Marquette will be overseas filming a new project) but Ray Park and Jaime King should also be there to support along with a few surprises.

So Chris will be in Bulgaria and not at the con. Guess that was to be expected. (Sorry, Sean.) Maybe he'll make the London con. Let's hope so!! And it sounds like you'll be in for a total treat, Sean. Make sure to take some pictures of the guys for us (even if Chris is not there) and enjoy all the new Fanboys stuff!

That's a great article. Very cool to know that a lot of the cast will be there, as well as them showing some new content. I'm really looking forward to it!

According to someone on IMDb, Box Office Mojo is reporting that Fanboys has been pushed back to January, 2008. Why? Why? Why? Damnit!!!!

I don't even have the stomach to go look. :angry:

We'll know for sure soon enough. If it changes on ComingSoon.com, it's real. We do know that they added a bunch of sound effects to it and a couple of extra scenes so that was one reason given for the push-back. But that's not good enough for a 5 MONTH PUSH. This is ridiculous! That will make it come out two years after it was shot. Story of Chris's film career, unfortunately.

Ah, so here's our pushback that we've been dreading for a while now. Can't say it surprises me. But January is just WAY off the map. So it's almost a year after they initially wanted to release it. Hope it doesn't tank like The Invisible did because of all of the pushbacks. The Weinsteins are stupid.

And I'm about to lose faith in the movie. As will lots of other people who've been following this one for months. I just really wanna know what's going on, there better be a DAMN good reason to postpone it for another five months. Five months. That's just crazy. By the time it finally comes out, no one's gonna be interested in it anymore.

I think we need to find a way to make our voices heard that this is just outrageous to expect people to follow a film for two freakin' years. It's above and beyond the call of duty. And then after we all raise our voices in protest, we just let it go for a while. Really. I'm tired. Don't really wanna keep agonizing over it anymore. Guess we can post the calendar pages as: "Yet another month that Fanboys languishes unreleased..."

Sean, I think I'm gonna rephrase that letter to Kyle. I'll send you an updated version when I can. I'm seriously about read to give up too. Come January, they probably push the movie back another three months until it vanishes into oblivion and only a handful of Mos Alba guys and us Chris fans even remember it. It's beyond ridiculous. I'm telling you, just like with The Invisible, all the pushbacks are doing the movie more damage than good. I'll put a bumper sticker on my car that says: FANBOYS - coming 2028, if you're still alive then.

According to SciFi.com and the website of The Weinstein Company, Fanboys is now to be released in theaters nationwide on January 18th, 2008. No word yet on the reason for the delay. We will keep you posted.
