Re: The Invisible

Thanks, Anne!  That was awesome!  LOL.  Chris with his Area 51 thing...  Wow.  Man, I gotta talk to him about that.  Wonder if he's a UFO/Conspiracy buff like me.  Love it.  They seemed to have fun talking to that lady.  They were all very animated.

Please do. When I heard him talking about that I thought "Yeah, I'd totally do that too!" LOL

Re: The Invisible

Well, I'm sorry to come here and be all negative, but I just quickly checked the schedules for the theaters in my area (I'm talking about home now) and TI is not being shown anywhere without dubbing. Not in Düsseldorf, not in Cologne, not in any of the Ruhrgebiet cities. So it looks like I might not get to see it before the DVD comes out since I'm pretty sure I won't watch it dubbed. Sorry, Deb. Guess it'll be another few months until we can talk about it. I'll check about the Netherlands when I get home, but I don't think they're showing it there just yet. This sucks big time, but I guess that was to be expected.

Re: The Invisible

At least they show it dubbed near you! But there aren't ANY signs of the movie in Stuttgart yet! That's unfair! I wanna see that movie!!!!:angry::angry:

Re: The Invisible

At this point, I'll say don't sweat it.  You might be better off waiting for the DVD and the possibility of getting to see the deleted stuff.  I find that there's really not that much to talk about concering this movie anyway.  It didn't haunt me after I saw it the way AD did and still does.

Ah, that's too bad TeeJay. But I agree with Deb, it's nothing you need to rush out and see.

Re: The Invisible

If you want to put yourself through a really bad, filmed-in-movie-theater version of the movie, this is where you can find it: http://stage6.divx.com/user/zl123/video … visibl-Pt1

I don't think I want to watch the movie for the first time in that quality. I'll keep looking for a better version... (But shhhhh!)

Re: The Invisible

I tried watching it, it's not really worth the time. (I mean, not the movie, it's the quality.)

Re: The Invisible

Cool about the DVD.  I'll pass on the bad online version.  The movie in the theatre is kinda dark and choppy.  I can't imagine how crummy a boot like this wold be.

September, huh? Seems like such a long time. But, well, since we won't get Fanboys in August, at least we'll have TI in September.

Re: The Invisible

I don't dare hope for any good special features. Those that'll be on there will probably concentrate on Justin Chatwin, Margarita Levieva and David Goyer, maybe Marcia Gay Harden. Chris is just a minor player in this one, I think. If we're lucky, we'll get a deleted scene or two. That's all I'm expecting from this one.

Dee, if you're gonna spill more about the movie, please do it in the spoiler thread. I haven't seen the movie yet, remember? wink

It's okay. I'm just really paranoid about spoilers. And how would I know that scene is not in the movie when I haven't seen it? smile

Re: The Invisible

It's already showing in theaters in Germany. Since last Thursday, actually. But only dubbed into German, which I hate. They have a few theaters that show undubbed stuff, but TI is not among the movies they're showing there. And it's pretty unlikely that they're gonna show it without dubbing at a later point either, so I'll have to wait for the DVD. Or maybe get it not quite the legal way before that.

Yeah, the soundtrack sounds cool, but I don't think you can buy it anywhere other than iTunes (can you?). I don't have and I don't want iTunes. I'd totally buy it from amazon or some such if I could. Everything they're doing with this movie and its marketing is just plain haywire. Well, they're not gonna get any money out of me for it, except maybe for the DVD at some point. So they're dooming themselves, I guess.

Re: The Invisible

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I just found out that they're showing the movie in a theatre near me! Wow, that's so cool. Well, it's not THAT cool because it's the dubbed version but it's still cool because I don't have to go to Stuttgart, which is far from here. I can literally go right after class tomorrow. Isn't that great? :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:
