Hey, the movie won an award yesterday!!! Woohoo! It took the "Made In NYC" prize. That means it's considered to be the best film of '07 that was shot in the City. Pretty awesome. I wonder if they have a ceremony where they hand out the awards and if all the guys were still there. I'm pretty sure Chris and Di were still there based on what she said in her email last weekend.
Everybody hit your search engines. Maybe there's more pics to be had or an article about it or something.

Cool news! Thanks Deb.

I thought the movie was filmed in Rhode Island, but then I checked imdb and it lists both places. LOL
Not that I am complaining about the prize ... every award is good. (Maybe except the prizes for the bad movies. LOL)

Another awesome bit of TEOCB news:
by - beanswest on Sat May 5 2007 18:12:09 Hey Sis, i don't know if Durst set out to prove everyone wrong or to just make a great movie, i only know that i saw the movie at the festival and it was unbelievable. As a matter of fact, Tribeca has scheduled 2 more showings because of the huge interest and people calling to see it. It will be shown tomorrow at 2 and 5 - i'm going to try and see it again. Wait till it hits nationwide!
The festival is over but they're gonna show the movie twice more! How cool is that?

How big is the file?
Well, I guess if it's too big for photobucket, it's also too big for emailing. And I don't know how to make it smaller. Tina has to teach me that sometime. Otherwise you could have mailed it to me, but as long as I don't know how to do it, I can't do anything.
Darn, I wanna see it too!

Been talking to Fredo on IMDb about the movie and he says not only is Chris great in TEOCB, he's in it a BUNCH. Finally, a movie where all his best stuff didn't end up on the cutting room floor. Now, if someone will just release the blasted thing.

A great review from IMDb:
Movie and music, 4 May 2007
********* 9 out of 10 stars
Author: shake-pen from United States
A terrific film. The director managed to capture the innocence of the seventies. I was glad he didn't use JUST 70's movies because there was a great piece of music that opened and closed the movie. I think it was called "The Sad Song." It was a nice balance to the 70's music and prevented the film from becoming a movie about old music. Very well cast as well. All the actors were wonderful. I am usually bored by coming of age movies, but this had a lot of surprises, and I think it was because the director was really feeling with his characters. The opening and ending section with the small kids was also very moving. I understand this is Fred Durst's first film. It's a great first film and is also very smoothly and seamlessly edited. Will this film be distributed? I saw it at the Tribeca Film Festival and wondered if and when it was opening anywhere else.

Here's a random snippet I found on some news site:
Susan Sarandon's daughter, Eva Amuri, is pleased with her two sex scenes in Fred Durst's directorial debut, The Education of Charlie Banks.
Ooooo-kay...
Also, check this out: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu … =110002872
Scroll down to where it says: In Episode 4 (4/28/07) first-time director and Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and New York actor Jesse Eisenberg talk about their narrative feature THE EDUCATION OF CHARLIE BANKS.
Like it says, it's a video interview with Jesse and Fred about the movie. Haven't watched the whole thing yet, but I will in a sec.

Coolness. Short hair and no face fuzz! Yay!!!
They should get their facts straight, though:
Recently, Chris has appeared in a string of theatrically released films including "American Gun", "Graduation", "Fanboys", "Alpha Dog" and the upcoming "The Invisible" which opens April 27 2007. He appears in the Fred Durst directed "The Education of Charlie Banks" which world premieres at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Graduation and Fanboys haven't been released yet. Sheesh.

Waaaay too short hair, yeah. But I am still curious about the movie. Can't wait to see it. Now let me check out the website.
Edit: Found two more pictures. And haha, there was a pic of some other members of the cast where you can see that it's clearly the 80ies. The clothes were horrible!
