This is the coolest thing I've heard all day.  And earlier today I got my refridgerator fixed for FREE.  So this is really, really cool.:D

Those are adorable, Leesey!  Is there any way to shorten David's pants?:/

#253 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 28 Jul 10 :: 00:01

Tyrone Power was in "Witness for the Prosecution" with Marlene Dietrich
who was in "Judgement at Nuremberg" with William Shatner
who was in "Fanboys" with...

Reese Witherspoon?

#254 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 26 Jul 10 :: 21:38

Patrick Dempsey was in "Once and Again" with Evan Rachel Wood
who was in "Thirteen" with Nikki Reed
who was in "American Gun" with...

This is probably really easy in a way that doesn't just jump out at me, but how about James Caviezel?

#255 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 24 Jul 10 :: 20:37

Oh, sure.  She did the "Love Sidney" pilot.  Then Swoozie Kurtz took over when it went ot series.  Unless it was the other way around.

#256 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 24 Jul 10 :: 19:29

Jeff Goldblume (;)) was in "Jurrasic Park" with Laura Dern
Who was in "I Am Sam" with Mary Steenburgen
Who was in "Joan of Arcadia" with...

How about Lorna Patterson?  Haven't heard that name in awhile.:/

#257 Re: Fan Fiction » I Write Like » 22 Jul 10 :: 23:57

I don't think either of you write like Margaret Atwood.  I always found her novels to be very depressing and with a very sour view of the world.  I always look forward to reading anything y'all have written.  I'd rather eat glass than re-read "The Handmaid's Tale".

#258 Re: Square Eyes » Misc Stuff » 22 Jul 10 :: 20:23

You'll enjoy that talkshow, Deb.  I know how much you like Julie Chen.:rofl:

I love Mike Myers, too.  "So I Married An Axe Murderer" wasn't my favorite movie of his, but it had an AMAZING soundtrack!  So good, I actually bought it.

#259 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 22 Jul 10 :: 20:21

I think the BaRD remake died on the vine here, too.  It's a shame, because the original was great.  I'd still like to see the new one someday.

#260 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 21 Jul 10 :: 18:50

Gorgeous!  I didn't have any trouble reading the article.  Just had to lean in a squint a little bit.  Please forgive my typos.:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Self described "smart-ass tough chick", Amber Tamblyn is having a ball getting older in Hollywood.  She grew up before our eyes, first joining General Hospital at the age of 11 before winning acclaim playing the title role in the television series Joan of Arcadia.  But at age 26 she's a full blown leading lady and perfectly comfortable showing it off a little.    "There's been a lot of emphasis on sexuality in my life," she says.  "When you're doing these womanly roles, there are literally contracts about showing 'side boob' in a sex scene.  I'm not going to take my top off for some random reason, but I'm certainly not against doing a nude scene if it's for something great.  I'm not always going to look like this."
The LA native, raised in Venice, can currently be seen in the stylish remake of the noir classic Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, also starring Michael Douglas and Jesse Metcalfe.  Tamblyn plays assistant DA to Douglas' character, with whom she formed quite a bond.  "He's a hot silver fox," says Tamblyn.  "We're both political junkies.  He reads every single newspaper on the planet.  It was really fun for me.  And, of course, he's a brilliant actor."
Tamblyn will next be seen in Main Street, alongside Orlando Bloom, Colin Firth, Patricia Clarkson, and Ellen Burstyn.  "It's the last thing Horton Foote wrote before he died," she says, "so it's quite special."
Meanwhile, her other career as an author is getting a recharge with a second book of poetry (out this month), called Bang Ditto.  She'll embark on a cross-country tour to support it.  "It's the most personal work I've ever written.  I'm really proud of it," says Tamblyn.  "It's about being in a fiercely image-based industry."
We wonder where she could've gotten the idea for that.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday, Mel!
#262 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Road Trippin' » 17 Jul 10 :: 18:06
Sounds like a long, hard trip.  Sorry to hear about your loss, Lindsey!
I actually know people from Van! lol
Have a great trip, TeeJay!  Hope you don't have to work too hard.
I'll bet he's out there somewhere right now, firing Billy Martin.  Auf wiedersehen, George.
#265 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 08 Jul 10 :: 02:31
It's a beautiful picture, and the resemblance is definitely there.  But I think it's AT's maternal great-grandmother, Bonnie's grandmother.  Which makes it ever cooler.
You know, I remember getting the feeling that they were going to make one of them cheat the whole season when I first watched it. They had Joan suspect Adam was cheating with Judith, going to cheat with Stevie. Adam was jealous of Roger and rightly so because the perv kissed her. Then finally, Adam actually cheats with Bonnie. It's like they were testing the waters with false cheating storylines, even Will and Helen had one with Lucy, then decided to take it to the next level.
Yeah, that's true.  They even started the ball rolling in season 1 with Kevin doing the cheating thing.  And we learn later that he had a history of that kind of thing.  Even though I still haaaaaate the whole cheating with Bonnie s/l, I like all the subtext they gave it.  They spent most of the second season trying to connect emotionally, and just missing every time.
Okay, in my incurable love for the convoluted, how about this:
Charles Boyer was in "Gaslight" with Ingrid Bergman
who was in "Murder on the Orient Express" with Lauren Bacall
who was in "The Mirror Has Two Faces" with Jeff Bridges
who was in "The Open Road" with Justin Timberlake
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
That's waaaay too long and drawn out.  But I didn't wanna do the Boyer>"Casino Royale">Woody Allen route.  What's the fun in that?
How about Bonnie Franklin?
#268 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 26 Jun 10 :: 00:03
And, how about Peter Sellers?
#269 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 25 Jun 10 :: 23:59
Okay, I won't go the Carrie Fisher/Fanboys route:
Mark Hamill was in "Family Guy" with Mila Kunis
who was in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" with Kristin Bell
who was in "Fanboys" with...
:doh:  Still had to do the "Fanboys" thing a little bit.
#270 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 25 Jun 10 :: 00:02
I just wish I had a nickel for every time that's happened to someone I know. :rofl:
#271 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 25 Jun 10 :: 00:01
Raquel Welch was in "Mother, Jugs, & Speed" (in which she played Speed, go figure.  I'm just kidding - She was Jugs, of course. roll ) with Bill Cosby
who was in "Uptown Saturday Night" with Sidney Portier
who was in a TV movie from the late 90s (whose name escapes me at the moment) with his daughter, Sydney Tamia Portier
Who was in Joan of Arcadia with...
How about John Heard?
#272 Re: Chris On Screen » Life During Wartime (STRONG LANGUAGE - ADULT CONTENT) » 24 Jun 10 :: 02:01
Yep, there's his name all right.  Right there around the hem of that kid's shorts. :puke:  Kinda creeps me out, too.
#273 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 09 Jun 10 :: 01:33
Juliette Mills was in "Nanny and the Professor" with Kim Richards
who was in "Race to Witch Mountain" with...
Lisa Jane Persky?
#274 Re: All About Chris » 6 Degrees of Chris » 08 Jun 10 :: 22:17
Oooh, that's a big help.  I was trying to get there using "The Tudors" and wasn't getting anywhere.
Gabrielle Anwar was in "Burn Notice" with Sharon Gless
who was on "Cagney and Lacey" with Tyne Daly
who was on "Judging Amy" with...
How about Melissa Gilbert?
