I've heard they are slightly better than the dvd's, but not a huge improvement. I'm guessing that would be the case with the age of the films. I saw them recently in HD on tv, and they were amazing to see. I'm sure the new film will look amazing in HD.
If only I didn't have to wait.
What an odd choice of tattoo on Megan Fox's arm.
Loved the first film, and sure i'll love the second film.
The 2 Disc Blu-Ray is a must have for me. I would love all the Treks on Blu-Ray, but the reason i'm staying with the dvds at the moment is due to the theatrical cuts of some of the films. I'm gonna wait a bit and hold hope, that they are re-released with the director's cuts.
I read this at work and all the stories i found are practically comfirming it as a hanging.
Very sad to hear about it, especially as it doesn't seem to be a natural death.
I absoulately love the cover that TeeJay made. I would prefer it to what i currently have, but the only problem for me, is that i don't have the quality paper. On mine, it would look like a photocopy.
Don't know if you guys have seen this, but you can get a 360 degrees view of Michael from the MTV Movie Awards at this link;
This is the most interesting i've ever read this thread. I am completly hooked on all these theories.
I believe in life outside of Earth. Not too sure whether i belive in them looking like something of the X Files.
However, i definately believe in ghosts, as in walking spirits.
Cool video. I used to be completely fascinated by UFO's and aliens. I can remember sometimes always looking up in the sky waiting to see something.
It looks like a fun flick to watch, but i'm stuck on why the guys was saying "Fortune and Glory Kid" in good english, whilst everything else wasn't. Unless it doesn't need a translation, but still it does seem out of place.
Glad i made sense.
I'm glad i've started watching Star Trek recently, so i was at least able to understand the Trek jokes. One Star Wars joke which i picked up on which relates to what i was referring to was when one of Seth Rogen's characters has the Jar Jar Binks tattoo and talks about how kick-ass Jar Jar is gonna be. Most people who are aware of the dislike for Jar Jar will find this funny, but there will be people who won't even know about this.
I would have said earlier in the post but i was in a hurry.
My opinions hmmm.
Being a Star Wars geek that i am, i absoulately loved it. It was great fun seeing the cameos and hearing the references. Everyone's character was great and thought the emotional aspect of Linus was done well. Loved his last scene.
If i am honest however, if you didn't like Star Wars or any of the main cast, i can see why the reviews about it weren't that great. To me, the film was made just for Star Wars fans and that's why i loved it. If i had never seen Star Wars before or never heard of any of the cast in it, then i'm guessing the jokes would have probably flew over me and i wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
Still for me; I LOVED it.
and another one;
Managed to get a bargain on it. Just 4 more left to get now.
After so long of waiting, i finally got to see Fanboys.
I've just filmed myself giving a review of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Don't know why i thought up the idea of filming it, but i thought it might help gain more confidence. I'm thinking over at the moment whether i should try uploading it or something. I do look kinda like an idiot in it.
Sure will. I'm hoping i will be able to watch it tomorrow along with some of the extras. The biggest problem for me is that the only player i have which is multi-region is downstairs and you're limited to when you can use it.
It finally came in the post today. Fanboys has arrived for me.
Yes definately.
They had The Motion Picture and Nemesis for the same price, but i already have them. Shame they didn't have the others.
I bought The Final Frontier the weekend just gone. Got it for just £1.
I do like the US covers but like you said it is all about whats on the disc.
On a related note; I've just bagged a bargain on amazon for Insurrection. This now leaves me with Search for Spock, The Undiscovered Country, Generations and First Contact left to get. Plus, i think i am finally getting my brother to become a mild fan of them.
They each come with a slipcover, with the exception of The Motion Picture. It was obvious that it was the first released as the cover doesn't match the others at all.
It does indeed slip in from the side and the actual dvds are in a plastic standard case. The cover on the actual case is pretty much what you can see now. The only difference is, is that the logo is much larger and instead of a silver symbol, each film has a different colour.
Colours i've got so far are;
Wrath of Khan - Brown
The Voyage Home - Dark Purple
The Final Frontier - Light Purple (Violet i guess)
Nemesis - Dark Blue
Below is Nemesis without the slipcase;
and with slipcase;
Another one to add to my expanding Trek DVD collection;
as well as erm this;
Don't ask.
Thanks Deb
Nope no one.
And now i feel even worse. I missed out on a bargain.
I'm in such a terrible state at the moment. Been thinking things i shouldn't be.
