Heh! I remembered an article I read once about how everyone knows who Arlene Dahl IS, but no one remembers anything she was ever in. I'm pretty sure she was in that movie where Polly Bergan was president, but I'm not positive. I'm sure that's enough to get you there, Rick!
Cathy Moriarty was in "Soapdish" with Sally Field
who was in "Brothers & Sisters" with Balthazar Getty
who was in "Pasadena" with...
Arlene Dahl?
I didn't think it was her, at first, either. But it looks like they took it right from the MDB movie poster. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3491335168/tt0405159
Cute story! Willow is cute, and so funny. There are a few little typos, here and there. "Footsteps" is one word, so is "blindfolded" and "newscaster". You could probably benefit from a good beta reader. I think probably everybody could. I can't wait to read the next chapter!
 I noticed that the female lead in "Three Men and a Million Dollar Baby" was Hilary Skank, instead of Swank. :embarrassed:
Yeah, I can't play. I've already cheated and looked him up on IMDb. Not a really lengthy resume, is it? That was a good clue you just gave about the series that Jared starred in. Maybe some one will get it.
You can always order yourself another one, Anne:
I'm glad he's working. But the boyfriend of an aspiring writer named Skeeter? I don't know...
Sorry. I have no idea who she is. I'm assuming she's related to Jared Leto, since I know you're a big fan. But I don't know who she is or anything she's been in. I'm stumped!
Know who else was in "Judgement at Nuremberg"? Shatner. He's everywhere! I was thinking of that movie, but I didn't look at the cast list until after I picked Widmark.
Let's see...:/ Thelma Ritter was in "Pillow Talk" with Rock Hudson
who was in "McMillan & Wife" with Susan St. James
who was in "Kate & Alley" with Fred Koehler
who was on "Joan of Arcadia" with...
How about Eve Arden?
John Garfield was in "Gentlemen's Agreement" with Gregory Peck
See Above.
How about Richard Widmark?
What a fun clip! Thanks for sharing, Melissa! And welcome to the boards.
Apparently we weren't the only ones who felt blindsided by that season finale. Because Shonda Rhimes felt compelled to write a little piece about it in the most recent issue of TV Guide. Since it's really short, I'll type it all here. WARNING: Spoiler Alert!!!!!

SHONDA RHIMES ON DELL'S DEATH
The Private Practice creator pays tribute to the character, who died in the May 13 finale
After the Season 2 finale, I called Chris Lowell. He was on top of a mountain in Africa. That's the kind of guy he is. He's a spirited traveler who considers the world a small place. Give him three days off and he returns with stories of running with bulls in Pamplona. We'd had this feeling for a while, he and I, that his character didn't have enough to do. Dell was a midwife in a world of doctors. Babies can only be delivered in so many episodes. Dell got lots of coffee, answered lots of phones. Mostly, he handed people charts. Now, Chris is an amazing actor, talented and giving; an actor of his caliber should be doing Shakespeare, not handing people charts. So we decided that we'd exit his character from the show. But we disagreed on how. I wanted him in med school, happy, with Betsey. Chris wanted to die: "I want to go in a devastating way." He's a mountain-top guy, he likes a challenge. So I took a deep breath and headed for the writers' room. There's a lot I'll remember about Dell, from the kid with the surfboard that he was to the man he became lying in a hospital bed discussing guinea pigs with Betsey. And there's a lot I'll remember about Chris: his easy smile; the photos he liked to take of the cast; the tears in his eyes as we filmed his last scene. William Dell Parker died May 13, 2010. He is survived by his daughter, Betsey, and his friends Addison, Pete, Sam, Charlotte, Cooper, Naomi and Violet.
Okay, I'll bite:
Dick Gautier was in "When Things Were Rotten"** with Ron Rifkin
who is on "Brothers & Sisters" with Rachel Griffiths
who was on "Six Feet Under" with Ben Foster
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
(**But he'll always be Hymie the robot to me)
Have we done Gregory Peck yet?
I was all excited because I thought I knew one without having to think about it. I thought John Shea was in "Smallville" with Tom Welling, who was on "Judging Amy"... But someone reminded me that John Shea played Lex Luthor on "Lois and Clark", not "Smallville". Lord, I'm old! Anyway:
John Shea was on "Gossip Girl" with Blake Lively
who was in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants I & II" with Amber Tamblyn
who was in "Joan of Arcadia" with...
How about David Morse?
'Tippi' Hedren was in "The Birds" with Suzanne Pleshette
who was in "Good Morning, Miami" with Mark Feurerstein (I KNOW I'm not spelling that right!)
who was in "The West Wing" with Janelle Maloney
who was in "Bang, Bang, You're Dead" with Ben Foster
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
Sam Elliott?
Sorry to hear about your show, Rick! I know you were expecting it, but still it's sad. I hope you land in another one soon that's just as good (but wildly popular!)
It's a shame about Flash forward, too. They had all that initial hooplah, then flamed out. I'll miss "Heroes", too.
Yes, Happy Birthday!
I think I can do this one.
Jim Backus was in "Gilligan's Island" with Bob Denver
who was in "The Good Guys" with Herb Edelman
who was in "The Golden Girls" with Betty White
who was in that superbowl commercial with Sean Marquette
who was in "The Beautiful Ordinary" with...
Hayley Mills?
Chad Lowe was on "ER", too. HE was Carter's intern before Lucy (Kellie Martin) was. He was in research and wasn't ever gonna see patients so he resented his internship. Carter got so sick of him that he got really tough. And nearly killed the kid by making him wear the gloves when he had a severe latex allergy.
Tyler Perry was in "Star Trek" with Anton Yelchin
who was in "Alpha Dog" with...
Jack Klugman?
Christopher Egan was on an episode of "Everwood" with Chris Pratt
who was in "Bride Wars" with Candice Bergen
who was on "Boston Legal" with William Shatner
who was in "Fanboys" with...
That's the only thing I know of that Christopher Egan was in, Everwood. He might've had more than a 1-episode spot.
Let's see... How about Groucho Marx?
I hope on the actual show he's in focus.
You're kidding! I thought you'd have to get there using "Wonder Boys". I LOVE "Wonder Boys!
Thanks, Mel.
Brian Keith was in "Hardcastle & McCormick" with Daniel Hugh Kelly
who was in "American Gun" with...
Richard Thomas?
