I may be the only Office fan but so sad, all the cast seems to be leaving now - it really should have wrapped up when carrell left.  I like Catherine Tate - but with B.J. Novak gone, Mindy Kaling gone, Raine Wilson and Paul Liberstein all major contributors to writing and acting the show will be so different.

Office - B.J. Novak leaves and others leave Season 9

Mel - you haven't missed much!!!  I've been frantically studying for the GRE.  Things got anticlimactic after England - but its okay.  I've been volunteering at the Dallas Arboretum and continue to volunteer at the Dallas Holocaust Museum and that's always great smile

Snow in the summer!  I'd die for that right now.  It was 104 degrees here the other day.  97 today but read 110 degrees with humidity in my car.  uggh.

The guy who's been posting to Twitter says the Kilimanjaro shoot is over.  In 24 days?  How can that be?  I guess the never actually go climb the mountain?  WTF?  That's a serious bummer.  What the hell is this movie even about then?  Failing?

Maybe they need to raise more money to shoot more?  Or it might be another short to put on something like kickstarter or show to producers to turn into a big feature?  Just ideas..... neutral

It really is - so sweet and simple smile I love peanuts!

This is crazy - smallest theater ever. I'd go sounds like a fun place for a birthday or in-between study sessions if you are a student.

So, the lowest temp here in the next 10 days is 97.  Today is 104 degrees.  I miss London where it was 57 degrees, even with the rain.

Still into scandal.  Anyone watched it yet?  I hope it comes back this next season.  It reminds me a lot of the West Wing.

Yeah, it was rather anticlimatic.  It is kind of like the "Alamo" in the states.

I'm tempted to quote Joan of Arcadia now.

big_smile  That's great Teejay.  Sad about OldLady God - Mrs. LandingGod.  Loved her in West Wing too - what a long legacy she had!

2 things to note about Mary Steenburgen.  I saw "The Help" for the first time on the airplane back from London.  Her five minutes on screen and even through phone were amazing.  What a great lady, becoming a bit of a mentor I have to admit.  And second note, her husband, Ted Danson, is doing a great job on CSI.  I miss Grissom, I miss Lawrence Fishburne, but they always tend to find a great fit and he certainly is playing the part with ease.  Came in nicely to the group mid season too.

I love summer but I hate that it affects my sleeping patterns.  I tend to sleep when I get bored and then can't sleep that evening and sleep in way too late the next morning and a whole cycle starts.  Grr.  Jet lag doesn't help either.

I haven't seen the Double or High School yet!  I swear I saw High School here in theaters and it was just for a day because I checked the local listings and it wasn't there anymore hmm

Love this picture - exciting to see these pics and follow ups.  Big hopes for this movie.  Agreed its frustrating to follow indie films in the early years - who knows when it will actually get released but at least its getting made!

Leaving tomorrow!  Can't wait! Although I think I packed too much! ha.  I might have to buy another suitcase there if I want to buy things there and bring them back:)  Should be a festive time with the jubilee followed by wimbledon.  Packed and ready to go!

#396 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 05 Jun 12 :: 03:14

I'll try and get it set up tomorrow!  i'm excited about this group.  They seem to know what they are doing and even my apartment complex is excited.  so after I get back from vacation they are doing a home visit and setting a play date.  They have a trial period too that is nice.  I'm trying to get ready for my vacation to london and have been running around like crazy today.  Starting a walking/prayer group with my church that's starting 7:15 asap at a local park!  So I'm actually off to bed.  I'll get them up as soon as possible.  She's a sweet girl.  Named Maya.

Very cool - looking forward to it - good plot.  Reminds me of Into the Wild, with Emile Hirsch - although he hasn't done a lot since, Emile got a lot of good credit for that movie so hopefully this one will do the same for Chris.

Okay, I know I've been looking for a small dog.  But went to go pick sister-in-law a gift card at west elm for b-day and saw this playful puppy in the parking lot.  The owner was a foster parent and the dog was up for adoption so I went up to the adoption event and just immediately felt a kinship with this dog.  I even liked the way she played but when she was calm, she was sweet and cuddly.  I played with her for about two hours and filled out paper work.  Probably will do a house visit, they said if it worked out they would keep her for one week while I was on vacation and they'd even let me do a trial run with her afterwards for a week.  I know she's not a small dog, but a runt of the litter, they said maybe 50lbs.  She is a lab/chow mix.  She followed me down the stairs when I left the event.  My parents want me to have a smaller dog I just have a gut feeling that this is the one....  Her name is Mia

I thought I saw it listed in Dallas theaters yesterday, must have been a special screening only because it's not there today sad  Sad I missed it.  Hopefully it will get a nation wide release!
