Interesting.... how does the system work in Finland for Pharmaceuticals?

#428 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 05 May 12 :: 05:47

if you use any type of prescription, check the bottles, labels and everything. I just filled a prescription today, thankfully checked the bottle, brand and name, and definitely had another person's prescription.  Look's like I'll be changing pharmacies!  Bummer, this one is in walking distance!

I heard about beautiful boy.  Thanks for the movie suggestions.  I think that's why i didn't see hasher in theaters because I read the reviews saying it was a little crude and thought it would be easier to watch on dvd!

I had no idea the avengers opens this weekend!  any takers on that one?   Totally been on a joss whedon buzz since cabin. Been watching all my dollhouse dvd's.  Starting on buffy again!

I'm behind on Game of Thrones.  I have a feeling I'll watch it during the summer, its a little too serious for me to watch right now with work and everything.  Downtown Abbey is much more appealing! I still have about 3 episodes left in the first season.

I did enjoy 'The River' did anyone catch that?  I watched them all at once, or at least 5 in a row (thanks to dvr) and it was the way to watch them.  I'll check it out again if it comes back on.

Has anyone watched scandal?

So glad to hear Hesher is good.  Want to see it!  I almost made myself go when it was in theaters but backed out.

This movie 'Lust for Love' isn't joss whedon but basically everyone from 'Dollhouse' is in it: Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, Felicia Day, Enver Gjokaj, Miracle Laurie, Maurissa Tancharoen

It was one of those kickstarter movies - looks like your typical romance movie. But if it does release I'll probably see it.  Am a big dollhouse fan!

Her eis an interview with Fran and Dichen when they were promoting it for kickstarter and answering some fan questions.  Cute interview talks a little about dollhouse too.  It is three parts, here is the first part:

You can catch the other parts after the video finishes.

AT&T is sooo incredibly expensive! It's by far the most expensive bill.

Hope you have fun Mel!  Hope the raven is good, didn't get the best review here.   But I still want to see it!

An interesting website that's getting lots of buzz these days.  Used to promote new movies by reaching out to the fans.  I've seen several films like fran kranz and Dichen Lachman's Lust for Love kickstart campaign go great.

I heard about it because this movie P5ych has been on my radar for a while.  They have 65 hours left in their kickstart.  It's written by Matthew Currie Holmes and stars Jewel Staite and Paul Campbell.  If you'd like to see more and maybe participate click the link below.  It has a very cool premise.

We should do this for some of Chris' projects- Thule... wink wink seriously though! what a great idea for indie projects you want to see get made.  Thought it would be an interesting new thread to have and watch the movies we love get built from the ground up and participate in it!

Here is the kick starter's main website: http://www.kickstarter.com/

Watched Cabin in the Woods over the weekend.  It was super fun!  May sound weird but I've never laughed so much and had so much fun and left throughly entertained.  Highly recommend it for a fun Saturday afternoon after a long week.  Expect to be entertained not so much scared.  I'd go see it again just because it put me in such a good mood because it was so different and funny.  Felt good to watch a Joss and Drew production again.

A little interview with bradley whitford and fran kranz on cabin in the woods - doesn't go into a lot of detail but did say that it was a funnier scary movie!

Cabin in the Woods gets good reviews.  90 % rating from fans, around 75% for critics.  EW gives it a B-.  The preview doesn't seem to do it justice.

Don't know if you guys watched Conan when he was on Late Night.  I was always a fan of triumph the insult comic dog.  he went to a star wars convention that was hilarious.  Reminded me a bit of fan boys.  Check it out: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x115u4 … star-w_fun  I especially loved the joke at 6:54.

Just started watching Game of Thrones and Downtown Abbey over the weekend.  Love both, but Downtown Abbey is more my speed.

Enjoyed the hunger games.  Hadn't read the book and managed to stay unspoiled by others.  Loved Jennifer Lawrence, definitely great role for her.  Looking forward to reading the books this summer.

It hit just a little east of us.  A students house in a sister school to us did get destroyed.  40 in arlington where this particular tornado hit.  I think the damage did reach up to 400 houses?  It could be 140... i know "4" was in that number!  It's been a long week!

Here is a video of the tornado:  you can see it split into two tunnels as it crosses the high way and the sirens blaring.  Glad we were there for an hour.  Had no idea how bad it really was and thankful it didn't reach us.

Deb: yes!  thankfully. We were in lockdown mode for an hour at school.  It was very WET doing carpool in the after storm.   Most students thought it was just a drill until we were there for about 45 minutes then some started to panic a little.  Mainly the kinder and first grade.  But they did a good job.  After the tornado hit, it really went east of us, I heard it was worse in Greenville area.

had a massage and facial, just what I needed to recover from last week.  booked another appointment after the next round of tests in May lol  only 40 more school days!  I still got a lot left to teach those kids before summer!

#447 Re: Square Eyes » In Praise of Chris's Colleagues » 29 Mar 12 :: 05:02

That's such a shame guys about 30 Minutes or Less because I love Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Anzari! sad  Netflix has only given it 2 stars for me so I haven't rented it.  Keep debating too, but I guess I won't.  Sad, good cast and director!

Yes Kate, teaching is full of acronyms!  One after the other too!  We have ITBS, DRA, TELPAS, STAAR and many more.  Craziness!

#449 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 27 Mar 12 :: 02:06

Students take STAAR(in replace of TAKS assessment)  tomorrow!  At least a portion of it.... The rest of it will be at the end of April....
