Yeah, it's probably not out yet. But I found a link where I can watch it online and will do so as soon as Cooper's problems aren't as bad as they are at the moment again ...
Sorry for being absent a lot lately, it's just that Cooper's highly suicidal again and lets me only to the most important stuff online before he crashes. I'm definitely going to by a new laptop as soon as my bank account is okay with that.
But i definately think the King's Speech was definately more worthy of an oscar.
I am definitely there with you, it was just that I up all night to watch the actual show while simultanously tweeting on Twitter about what happened on the screen, so I came up with this crazy idea to cut the Oscar in half and give one part to each film. LOL And I was definitely happy for Colin Firth. In fact, The King's Speech is now one of my most favorite movies ever and I am definitely going to buy the DVD as soon as it's out. Black Swan is good too, but yeah, a bit too disturbing to watch it every now and then. I might at least wait a year or so until I rent it on DVD. LOL
Does anybody know why Main Street doesn't seem to be available ANYWHERE on DVD? Well, I found out you can actually purchase the Italian one via amazon UK ... but that's not exactly useful for me since I don't speak Italian and I want my DVDs in English. LOL
I have no idea who Peter Frampton ist, but that is one cool cat! ![]()
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:
Excuse me, but I am happy that Social Network didn't win. YAY THE KINGS SPEECH!!! (Doesn't mean I'm not sad for Black Swan, though. But there can only be one winner. *sigh* If I would have to decide I'd just cut the Oscar in half and give it to both movies. LOL
Let's sing "Our Last Summer" together! LOL
For one second I thought I was going to lose trust in movie business ... then I heard Sandra saying Colin's name. I am HAPPY!!!
So far I'm disappointed. And Summit is going to have to make up for that "big" Twilight moment. They announced it, like, this BIG, BIG moment no fan would want to miss and what did we get? That was so lame, the word lame doesn't qualify here.
LOL I love it! :applause:
It now looks like my theatre is going to have the movie soon(ish). So maybe there is a chance I'll get to see it, but my list is already sooo long. I learned today that they are going to have Never Let Me Go soon and I definitely want to see that one.
I didn't say I liked it better. I said it didn's flash me as much as Black Swan. Both are great movies, though.
Just returned home from seeing The King's Speech with my mom before she starts chemo tomorrow and a friend of her. The movie was AWESOME. Colin IS going to get the Oscar for that, I have absolutely no doubt about that.
THIS!!! ---->
All you gotta do to know that she has no shame is read her books. They're so naughty! I love that about her. She just is who she is. But I also feel like she's incredibly mature for her age and knows how to keep her wild streak in check enough not to be a jerk.
Is that the one where she claimed being naked? I saw that on the Gossip Cop website.
I know! I was thinking it practically SCREAMS for another dorquette meeting! But of course, there is still the problem with the money .... ![]()
I found this in the latest Spotlight Business issue, a magazine about Business English I read. They have this "Last laugh" topic on the last page of each issue. This one is too funny not to share with you. ![]()
CAR CRASH
At a recent event Bill Gates allegedley compared the computer industry to the car industry, saying "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that get 1,000 miles to the gallon."
General Motors allegedley replied by sending this statement to the media:
"If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics:1. Your car would crash twice a day.
2. Every time they repainted the lines of the road, you would have to buy a new car.
3. From time to time, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you lifted the door handle, turned the key and, at the same time, held on to the radio antenna.
4. Everytime a new car was introduced, car byers would have to learn how to drive again.
5. You'd have to press the start button to turn the engine off."
I swear, I didn't laugh that hard in a loooong time! LOL
Cool! I wish I could go. LOL
So I saw 127 hours today, then I'm going to see The King's Speech on Thursday with my mom and on Saturday I'll see True Grit - finally! That way I watched all the Oscar-relevant movies I wanted to see just in time for the actual show! Great, huh?
There's this person called Ashley who wants to be my friend on Facebook ... is she from here?
Everything always happens when you're gone, so maybe. What are you guys gonna do in Turkey?
Yeah, like they're going to announce Chris as a presenter at the Oscars! LOL ![]()
Wow, where's that from? ![]()
BTW, I went to see 127 hours today. It's a good movie but it didn't flash me as much as Black Swan did. Kudos to Aron Ralston, I don't think I'd be able to cut off my own arm. A woman in the row behind me was literally gasping when she heard the bones break ....
In case you noticed I haven't been on for the past two days, I went to Augsburg (in Bavaria) to see a special doctor. Not that I necessarily needed it but we wanted to have some things checked. Got some old diagnoses corrected and even a new sydrom diagnosed. So I have three different syndroms now, but none of them completely. LOL
It also turned out that the reason why my foot gets swollen (it started in October, shortly after I returned from my London trip, don't know if I told you about that) is that it developed a Lymphedema and that I was even living with another one in my arm basically my whole life. I can tell you, when the doc told me about that I got so pissed at all the other doctors who misdiagnosed me. I suffered so much because that damn arm was so "fat" and now that guy tells me it's curable! I mean, of course I'm happy about that, but if I had known about that earlier it would have saved me from a lot of suffering ... ![]()
Well, I might go back there and stay in the hospital for a few days, so this doctor can figure out a therapy for me. Thing is, I'd have to wait until October because all the other appointents are already taken. But based on the fact that I already had to wait from October to Feburary for today's appointment it's not really that much of a surprise. I guess I'm lucky that there's a chance at all.
Hey Rick, glad to see you back here. I'm sorry about your wife's family stuff but since the things that were going on with my mom I think I know what she's currently going through. I hope things will be better soon!
Just judging by your pissy tweets/fb stats about cooper ruining your day. every day. about 50 times. *
That has nothing to do with my mom, it's just that Cooper's been showing me blue screens, like, 10 times again each and every day and I totally want to grab him and just THROW him out of my window for that, really. I mean, I had him repaired last year, okay? He was suppsed to stop with that shit. But instead, he keeps doing that. Like today ... I had him off most of the day but as soon as I turn him on, he, like, shows me blue screen every three minutes. I can-'t even open my internet browser ... HELLO????? Behaving like that isn't exactly helping my mood at my current life. Everything jsut sucks ass right now. I am definitely going to buy a new laptop as soon as I have enough money for that and this time it's definitely NOT going to be some cheap ALDI/Medion shit. ![]()
I know you're old enough to be their mom or my mom. But I was talking about ME and I also told you that it's the weirdness of my self that makes me feel like that. You can go on like you want, that's totally your decision.
It's just that "liking" all those younger actors makes me feel weird about myself and I can't help it. Like I said: weirdness. ![]()
