Watched the early review on the newly revamped At the Movies and they both really liked it. Going by the clips I will say it does look very good.
Out of curiosity I am watching this right now on ABC (Channel 7) and it isn't too bad actually.
The beginning has some splashy graphics. But it's still very similar to the old one as well. So far I'm liking Ben Lyons much more than the other guy.
They sit in big comfy chairs with posters of the films being reviewed on either side with a little table in between the chairs. Behind them are vertical yellow lights from the floor to the ceiling. In other words, a much simpler set than the old show.
Not watching it for their reviews, but for the extended clips from the movies.
Deb reminded me about Horror films.
I hate the modern horror films that relish in showing gore and blood-lust. I rather not see that. I tend to like the old horror films of the 1930's-1950's era.
Bought it today. Stupid Circuit City was sold out (I swear they always are sold out of sale items). Price matched it at Meijer.
When I watch it I'll let you guys know what I thought of it.
Finally bought this today. Had to price match it at Meijer because Circuit City was completely sold out.
Here is a pic of the Target exclusive Iron Man head dvd case.
Will be selling for $22.99 (DVD)
Blu-Ray $27.99
I really like the following.
Action
Adventure
Comedy
Drama
Science-Fiction
Suspense/Thriller
All of the above are very good escapism type of movies, well except for dramas and perhaps thrillers.
I dislike the following
Mystery
Sports
I may watch a mystery once, but after the mystery is discovered I have no real need to watch the film again. Very low repeatability imo.
Sports. Always tends to follow the same storyline. Some person/team is on a losing streak, the coach gets the person/team to train, they get better, they get a big pep talk right before the final big game, looks like they are going to lose and then they do win the big final game/event.
That's why I don't own many of these. I think the only sport films I own are Days of Thunder (only reason is Cruise) and Field of Dreams (which I consider to be more about a son/father relationship).
Sorry, as big as that one is. Found on google image search. But when trying to get to that site, says page doesn't exist.
I was looking at the cast on IMDB and they list 2 uncredited actors.
1. Matthew Borlenghi - role = John Kirschner
2. Mario Ardila Jr. - role = Santa Fe Kid
Here are 2 general pics of them
1, Matthew
2. Mario
can't find a good one.
Anyways, just wondering if anyone can actually locate them in the film?
If you can, could you please give an exact time when they appear on screen. Such as 1:32:05 (1 hour, 32 minutes, 5 seconds mark).
Thanks.
I will have to wait till Friday to buy it.
Target has an exclusive set that comes with the mockumentary that they originally released around May of this year. I already have that, so I'll get it from CC for $14.99, instead of spending $22.99 for the Target set.
Vantage Point is correct
10,000 B.C. is correct.
Here is 3 more.

No guess?
All we got from it was lots and lots of rain.
Flooding in some areas. O'Hare airport got around 8 inches of rain.
I just saw a report on CNN where some lady was looking at her home in Texas and she left her two dogs in crates and they drowned. She has no money and hopes that FEMA can help. Her and her son will be sleeping in their truck.
I wonder how many may become homeless from this.
That is Bloom in the second pic.
FYI; I've seen pics where Shia's character is shot & bleeding on steps, so that may make some happy. LOL.
Stills from New York, I Love You with Alpha Dog co-star Anton Yelchin.
Actually there is 3 versions. But all with the same basic features.
Standard DVD: Full Screen
Standard DVD: Widescreen
HD DVD
There is always a chance that Universal could do an "Extended Edition" sometime in the future. Universal recently announced an Extended Edition of Waterworld. Sadly the only extra appears to be the trailer.
I think the difference between an Extended Edition and a Director's Cut is that only the Director's Cut is done by the director, whereas the Extended Edition has no input from the director.
So if Universal ever releases a better edition of AD on DVD, I would rather have either a Director's Cut, Special Edition or a Deluxe Edition which would/should have input from the director with lots of extras. I don't think I would really care much for an Extended Edition with zero input from the director and/or really lousy extras.
I do wonder if Universal is waiting for the trial to be completely done before releasing any sort of better edition. Perhaps either they are fearful of lawsuits from JJH or want to include a very complete featurette on the real life case and can't do that until the trial is over.
Now of course, with how long this trial is taking just to begin I think if that's what they're waiting on we could be waiting years. And by that time, it may not even be on dvd. Perhaps either Blu-Ray or some sort of new format.

Translated page link above.
It says it contains a making of featurette, interviews and a trailer and comes with a cd & a T-Shirt
I was doing a google search for "Alpha Dog Deluxe Edition" and came across this one.
It's for Region 2 (Italy).
Sonnenfeld Still Eyeing Timberlake As Search Commences For Actor To Get 'Moist'
Published by Jennifer Vineyard on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 2:58 pm.Justin Timberlake almost got "Moist" for his first movie in theaters– and now that he's no longer wet behind the ears, director Barry Sonnenfeld is looking at the singer as a possibility once more to get the project's juices flowing.
"Moist" is a darkly comic novel by Mark Haskell Smith about a morgue attendant named Bob, who is "living way below his ability," spending all his free time playing video games, until he comes across a severed arm with an erotic tattoo of a woman he falls for. In the course of trying to find out who she is, Bob ends up becoming Roberto, a kingpin of the Los Angeles Mexican mafia — ultimately replacing the man who the severed arm belonged to in the first place.
"I love the book," Sonnenfeld said. "Tonally, it's like 'Pineapple Express.'"
Sonnenfeld wanted the lead role in "Moist" (not to be confused with the Dr. Horrible version) to be a "good looking and yet somehow slightly quirky guy. He's not traditionally handsome. He's funny." So four years ago, he sent the script to Timberlake — who was just starting to shoot his first film, "Edison Force", which ended up going straight to video.
"He read the script, he liked it, we had lunch, he agreed to do it," Sonnenfeld recalled. "But through no fault of his own, nothing to do with him, we weren't able to get financing. So it almost got made, but not quite."
Now, the director is actively talking to studios once again about the project, he's got actors on the mind who might be best for Bob. "Jake Gyllenhaal, he's always funny," Sonnenfeld said. "Or Ashton Kutcher, or Seth Green, or who's that Mac guy? Justin Long."
Meanwhile, the other Justin — who's had a steady stream of not-quite-hits with "Alpha Dog," "Black Snake Moan," "Southland Tales" and (ahem) "The Love Guru" — might want to consider jumping back on board. Maybe it can't be his first movie, but it could still be a first for him — his first lead role. And Sonnenfeld still wants him: "Justin would be great."
Harold Ramis confirms 'Ghostbusters III'
Ramis I just received this e-mail from Harold Ramis confirming the forward progress on a third "Ghostbusters" movie (as mentioned earlier here), with Judd Apatow, some of his regular actors and perhaps Bill Murray involved:
"yes, columbia is developing a script for GB3 with my year one writing partners, gene stupnitsky and lee eisenberg. judd apatow is co-producing year one and has made several other films for sony, so of course the studio is hoping to tap into some of the same acting talent. aykroyd, ivan reitman and i are consulting at this point, and according to dan, bill murray is willing to be involved on some level. he did record his dialogue for the new ghostbusters video game, as did danny and i, and ernie hudson. the concept is that the old ghostbusters would appear in the film in some mentor capacity. not much else to say at this point. everyone is confident a decent script can be written and i guess we'll take it from there.
best,
haroldOK, so we're picturing Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson showing the ghost-busting ropes to Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco and Michael Cera. (Ramis already memorably and warmly played Rogen's dad in "Knocked Up.") Maybe Jason Segel or Craig Robinson fit in there somewhere.
Is this a "Ghostbusters" you'd want to call?
http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com … is-co.html
This is something they should have done a long time ago. Makes sense to pass the torch to a younger group of Ghostbusters.
Hopefully, it'll be as good as the previous two.
Finally received those General Mills cereal bowls.
They're so cute.
Got the dvd prices off of dvdtalk forum.

The man accused of masterminding the murder of a teenager in the Santa Barbara foothills appeared in court under heavy security. Sheriff's deputies armed with sub-machine guns, escorted Jesse "James" Hollywood into Santa Barbara Superior Court Thursday afternoon. Hollywood is charged with murder in the execution style shooting of 15 year old, Nicholas Markowitz back in August of 2000. His attorney says the heavy security is unnecessary and intimidating. The judge ruled, that he will not allow cameras during the trial. He also ruled that a motion to strike the death penalty in this case is premature.
Judge Brian Hill did agree to hear a motion to dismiss the case and a change of venue motion in October.
A friend wanted me to post these.
I have no idea who they are, but he says they are stars who are in a certain field of entertainment.
