And here is the third welcome! I was out of town this morning, so I couldn't come online earlier.
Welcome to the boards, shrams!

That is indeed funny, made me laugh. Gee, my mom has no idea who Chris Marquette is and that I have a certain interest in the guy and his amazing tear ducts. But maybe that's not all that bad. Parents don't always have to know what's going on with their kids, right? wink (Although I did tell my mom that we spent a day at a movie set on vacation. Guess I'll show her the pictures eventually when we meet the next time.)

Yeah, sometimes I wish that my mom wouldn't know, too. But since I have to live with her, I can't hide it from her. <sigh> roll

Hey, you won't believe what happened today!
The first thing is, I had this dream last night. It was kinda weird, but I dreamt that Chris signed my Tic Code DVD. LOL Maybe I stared at my autograph too long. big_smile
Then I went to a DVD store with my mom today and during we went through all those DVDs she handed me a DVD, saying "Hey, isn't that the guy you like so much?" and I looked at the cover and it was a John Cusack movie. So I said: "No, mom, this is John Cusack, but cool that you noticed the resemblance." And then, on the way back home we were listening to a Joan Baez CD, where she sings some Bob Dylan Songs and I told her that some people think that Chris kinda looks like Bob Dylan somehow. Then she said: "Yeah, they have kinda the same figure." and I was like wow, what's going on with my mom? LOL That's kinda funny, huh? Just wanted to tell you that. wink

#7230 Re: The Bullhorn » A Brief History Of The Dorquettes » 16 Oct 06 :: 13:31

Okay, cool.
Well, I never posted pictures of my Dorquette shirt ... you know, the one with the little "mistake". wink
Maybe you can send me the picture, so I can print out my own. I still have some of this transfer paper here somewhere. This I can do alone because I just have to print out and iron it. It's the painting which makes me problems to do.

#7231 Re: The Bullhorn » A Brief History Of The Dorquettes » 16 Oct 06 :: 11:44

Hey, um ... I was just wondering ... is the Fanboys Shirt a part of the merchandise too?

Yeah, I realize that I shouldn't get all riled up about this. But I just can't help it. Maybe it's because I'm not a teenager anymore and am more grown up about the whole thing. (Which is not to say that I'm very grown up in general.) And just like Deb, I will say what is on my mind when I feel like I need to. I also get the vibe that often people post offensive or provocative things just to engage in heated coversation or flame war. I mean, come on, people, what is wrong with you? I will try my best to ignore such posts in the future, but I can't promise that I will. I mean, with Chris being such a nice guy (which we now know first hand), I feel like I have to come to his defense when people say "I wanna beat him up for his happy-go-lucky attitude". Because, dude, he couldn't be more modest if he wanted to. There is NOTHING about him that would suggest he expects people to respect him or his celebrity status to make him someone special.

That's the reason why I am  happy sometimes that my English is still not perfect. Because if it was perfect, I would post so much more on the imdb boards although I know it won't change anything. Sometimes I wonder why I still go there from time to time, because there are so many jerks there, not only on the Chris board, I've read a lot of stupid posts on other boards, too. I am also a person who says what's on her mind when I feel the need to do this. But I also respect the opinions of other people when they are serious. But what I hate is when people just coming there to post some stupid think like "I wanna beat him up" or something like that. This is disrespectful and unnecessary but unfortunately there are some people who will never learn that.

Hey, don't worry about sounding crazy, we're all a little crazy around here. I think you have to be to first create a website about a young actor almost no one knows and then also have the determination and guts to go out there and actually meet him. smile Plus we're crazy anyway, not only because of that.

And, believe me, if I could I would wrap him up and take him home. And I'd show him to all my friends. "Hey, guys, this is Chris, ain't he cute? I brought him from Atlanta. And don't worry, he's house-broken." wink

Hey, what did you expect? We're the "Dorquettes"! big_smile
LOL, hey TeeJay, that's a nice imagination ...  wink

Yeah, for the record, I still wish we had gotten a third season of JoA *and* Huff. <sigh> Geez, I really really hope the s2 commentaries will talk a bit about that, otherwise I'm gonna scream at my TV.

Oh God, now I wanna live in that paralell universe where they didn't cancel JoA ... sad And Huff, of course.

#7234 Re: Chris On Screen » Kyle Newman's Revenge of the Nerds (Remake) - CANCELED » 16 Oct 06 :: 08:36

Yeah, I also hope that they'll give at least some explanations on the Season 2 DVD Set. I also hope that BH tells something about what would have happened in Season 3.

Now, I'm really annoyed that we didn't get a 3rd season of either Joan or Huff!

Me too. roll

#7235 Re: Fan Fiction » Joan of Arcadia - Butterflies » 15 Oct 06 :: 23:27

Oh yeah, the Water Drops fic. Make sure to read the Men Version, too! lol

Deb, can we make him a hot pink shirt that has something gay on it? Like homoerotic James (Chris's role from Huff) or something? wink

#7239 Re: All About Chris » All you IMDb jerks out there » 15 Oct 06 :: 18:57

These people will never stop. Just leave them like they are and don't care about what they say. They just don't get how stupid it is to post something like that. And yeah, I also hope that Chris has someone like that or will find her. He certainly deserves it.

#7240 Re: Chris On Screen » Huff » 15 Oct 06 :: 14:20

He could also check out the clips we have on the site ... how weird would THAT be? LOL big_smile

#7241 Re: Square Eyes » The Silly Vicar » 15 Oct 06 :: 13:11

Yay for silliness. LOL wink
Maybe you could share a little of that with me. I don't feel very good today. sad

#7242 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Breaking news: Smoking is bad for your health » 15 Oct 06 :: 13:08

Yeah, let's hope he quit.

TeeJay wrote:

And I swear to you, if he had wanted to smoke in our presence and would have asked if we minded, I would have said, "You know, actually I would."

You know since I have SWS I had to learn to ask people to stop smoking in my presence ... so I surely would have asked him to stop, too.

#7243 Re: Chris On Screen » Kyle Newman's Revenge of the Nerds (Remake) - CANCELED » 15 Oct 06 :: 11:41

Actually there are some thing I have problems to understand, but we can talk about that later, Tina.

If they have people who are able to shapeshift I don't think this is over the top for The 4400. But I don't know for sure, I never watched the show regularly.

#7247 Re: Chris On Screen » Calvin Marshall - CHRIS IS NO LONGER INVOLVED » 14 Oct 06 :: 22:32

Oh God. Thanks for that much needed laugh. lol
PS: Do I have to be jealous now? wink

#7248 Re: Chris On Screen » Fanboys » 14 Oct 06 :: 22:14

Yeah, that's true.
And shame that I'm not able to do something. hmm

As I'm going through the s3 finale of The 4400 to see where I can spot Sean, I was thinking: Wouldn't it be fun to have Chris guest star on The 4400 too? Maybe they could even battle each other. Sean on the one side with the Nova Group and Chris with NTAC and the good guys, hunting him down. Wouldn't that be interesting?

That would be very interesting. I would definitely watch it, even though I was never very interested in that show. (Except for the episodes with Sean, of course.)
