That is indeed funny, made me laugh. Gee, my mom has no idea who Chris Marquette is and that I have a certain interest in the guy and his amazing tear ducts. But maybe that's not all that bad. Parents don't always have to know what's going on with their kids, right?
(Although I did tell my mom that we spent a day at a movie set on vacation. Guess I'll show her the pictures eventually when we meet the next time.)
-TeeJay
Yeah, I guess it is. I'll post a picture when I'm home.
Deb, did we ever make a photo of just the t-shirt? I don't think we did...
-TeeJay
" I could still gather him up in my arms and carry him home to keep him."
tee jay, i'm still laughing after reading this line. i don't know why, but i can just imagine you and deb wraping ( again not sure of the word) him up and just taking him home as a present:lol:. ok, that sounded crazy, but i just find it so funny!
Hey, don't worry about sounding crazy, we're all a little crazy around here. I think you have to be to first create a website about a young actor almost no one knows and then also have the determination and guts to go out there and actually meet him.
Plus we're crazy anyway, not only because of that.
And, believe me, if I could I would wrap him up and take him home. And I'd show him to all my friends. "Hey, guys, this is Chris, ain't he cute? I brought him from Atlanta. And don't worry, he's house-broken." ![]()
Yeah, for the record, I still wish we had gotten a third season of JoA *and* Huff. <sigh> Geez, I really really hope the s2 commentaries will talk a bit about that, otherwise I'm gonna scream at my TV.
-TeeJay
i actually don't care about this too much, i just wish you wouldn't get so upset. not good for you:D
Yeah, I realize that I shouldn't get all riled up about this. But I just can't help it. Maybe it's because I'm not a teenager anymore and am more grown up about the whole thing. (Which is not to say that I'm very grown up in general.) And just like Deb, I will say what is on my mind when I feel like I need to. I also get the vibe that often people post offensive or provocative things just to engage in heated coversation or flame war. I mean, come on, people, what is wrong with you? I will try my best to ignore such posts in the future, but I can't promise that I will. I mean, with Chris being such a nice guy (which we now know first hand), I feel like I have to come to his defense when people say "I wanna beat him up for his happy-go-lucky attitude". Because, dude, he couldn't be more modest if he wanted to. There is NOTHING about him that would suggest he expects people to respect him or his celebrity status to make him someone special.
Okay, enough ranting for the day. I'm really tired. Went to beg at 12.15 AM last night, but I don't think I feel asleep until around 1. And my alarm went off at 6:40, so.... And now I have almost 500 e-mails at work to read up on. How exciting... not.
-TeeJay
Thanks so much for the compliments, Irina. I know what you mean when you say reading is not the same as watching on TV. Yeah, well, it's all we have left at this point... <sigh> But it is a whole lot of fun to see these characters in your head while you're writing the story. I sometimes have these "scene flashes" where they just appear in my mind and start talking to me. I love when that happens. A lot of my stories revolve around such flashes.
And thank you on the compliments about the shower story. That was kind of a milestone for me to write.
-TeeJay
Deb, can we make him a hot pink shirt that has something gay on it? Like homoerotic James (Chris's role from Huff) or something? ![]()
-TeeJay
Well, Irina, check back now, because I just uploaded the sound clips from the second part of the interview. So there's more Chris to listen to and the second part clips are also slightly better quality.
And thank you for the compliments. Let's hope Chris thought we asked great questions too.
And "being full of yourself" is the exact English expression, and you're right, he is not. Absolutely not. You can't be less full of yourself than him. He was so sweet and modest and humble. I could still gather him up in my arms and carry him home to keep him. ![]()
-TeeJay
Here's another fine example of IMDb jerks. Because this time I was outright personally insulted. Someone asked if anyone knew if he's still single. And that really annoyed me, so I posted something like, Why the hell do you care? It's his decision who he's with and if he stays single or not and that I didn't know if he was with anyone and that I didn't care. And just now someone went off on me, saying, Hey, did this person ask you post that you don't know who he's with? No, so shut your big mouth and STFU if you don't have anything to contribute.
Yeah, great, thank you. I didn't reply, of course. These things are better ignored, I don't wanna end up in another flame war. Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have opened my big, fat mouth if I was only gonna vent, but I just can't stand all these people going, Oh, look who he's with, she's such an ugly bitch (probably just because they're jealous). I mean, come on! People, get a life! If someone loves someone, it shouldn't matter if that person is ugly. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder anyway. Some of the men I've been in love with weren't beauties, but I fell in love anyway. And that's what matters.
And for the record, I hope Chris has someone like that. Or finds her. He sure deserves that, but I guess being away from home for months on end doesn't quite offer a good basis for a healthy, long-lasting relationship. He'll settle down some day, I'm sure. But he's young. I hope he enjoys is while it lasts. ![]()
Oh, and for a second I was tempted to reply: I've met him, you stupid person, and you haven't and probably never will! <blows raspberry>
But I didn't. And I won't.
-TeeJay
You know what would be kinda funny? Chris said he never saw the Huff episodes he was in. I'd totally burn them onto DVD for him and give them to him. Wouldn't that be weird?
Although I'm sure that if he really wanted to see them, he'd have his manager get them for him. Right?
-TeeJay
And now.... an appeal for silliness.
Pting pting pting.
Sorry, I feel kinda silly today. Must be sleep deprivation and the meeting-Chris high I'm slowly coming down from.
-TeeJay
Some small thing to add to this one: While we were on the set of ROTN, we never saw Chris smoking even once. Not on screen, not during breaks. Maybe he quit. I sure hope he did, for his sake. Because, and I can only underline it once more: It is bad for your own health and also bad for the health of the people around you in a smoking environment. (A lot of the production crew people smoked, though...)
And I swear to you, if he had wanted to smoke in our presence and would have asked if we minded, I would have said, "You know, actually I would."
-TeeJay
I've been talking to a couple of people in the cmg LiveJournal community about our website, and unbelievably, there are still people alive there. They refuse to come over here, so I thought I'd paste a couple of nice things they said about the site:

i'm 17, and i definately choose the smutty version [TJ: of Butterflies], always (hee). i read way too much gay fanfiction smut, and i need some boobs in my fandom! that makes me hella sad that he won't be in any commentaries!!! and if you could make an account for me [TJ: Here on our message board, which I offered] that would be wonderful! i can't guarantee how much i will be involved in it because i'm in like 5,0000000000000000000000000 fan communities right now!!!

Thanks for the link to the website, and thanks for creating it! I have to confess I've been distracted by a lot of other things, so I haven't kept up on the latest Chris news. Glad to know where to find it. The website looks great, I haven't had much time to look around it yet, but I'll spend more time there soon.

I just recently posted in my journal what I'd found of Chris's features, the ones that hadn't come out yet, and was talking about how he'd made tons of movies that just weren't being released yet. For the three or so people who read my journal, one might be mildly interested.
I'm not sure I can handle Alpha Dog. I watch a lot of violent movies/TV shows, but I find the whole basic premise so very disturbing, and the trailer really got to me. I haven't watched American Gun yet; it never seems to be available at the video store. I'm sure I'll get to see it soon, though. Fanboys should be awesome.
It does seem unfair that they don't have simultaneous releases of movies in all countries.

That's one reason I've been out of touch, I think. I was counting on Melissa's website for updated info, and she hadn't updated in such a long time I just gave up.
I'm glad you got to meet Chris, and I look forward to reading about it.

Awesomeawesome stuff! I'm really excited for you guys--www.chris-marquette.com is kind of like the unofficial official site now ![]()
Man, I remember waaaay back in the day with the (it's got to be said) crap official site. I used to bug his uncle about that. Oh, and if he's had the same management as he used to, they were always pretty sucky. I never got an autographed headshot from them.
Anyway I love all the stuff on the site!!!
--------------
I asked this person if she was talking about UTA... If so, Chris might never get our stuff.
And we're his unofficial official site now? LOL Yeah, somehow, kinda, I guess...
And, see? People tend to give up when you don't update your site anymore. That's why we need to make sure that doesn't happen. Seems like we were pretty much tenacious and stuck with Melissa's message board despite the fact that the site had been abandoned.
-TeeJay
Yes, thanks a bunch! I'll fix it up to put on the website. I'm not going to Anja's after all, she's got a bladder infection (sound familiar?). But Lars is gonna come over later and we'll try something from that Southern cookbook I brought him. (He liked it a lot, Deb.) Not sure how much time I'll have for website stuff.
-TeeJay
Okay, white shirt, gotcha.
You know, a beige or "dark white" one would also work. Maybe you can hook up with Deb, she can probably let you pick from a whole collection through work. Or I'll just buy a t-shirt. Deb, how do you wanna do this?
And the T-Mobile pink? Eww. That's not a nice pink, if there ever was one. But maybe better than a bright orange Levitra shirt that I got from Lars, who works with Bayer.
-TeeJay
I also uploaded a vidcap of his two scenes in episode 3x13:
http://www.wormhole.de/cm_com/videos/Se … 0_3x13.wmv
-TeeJay
I might even be persuaded to say that he looked hot, even though I never say that. But the physical thing with him was the least on my mind when we actually talked to him. Guess it's a long-distance thing. Man, I'm being weird. Can you tell I'm just about to go OTR?
And I hope he doesn't read this. If he does: Chris, really, this is just dirty, frustrated woman talk, just ignore us. This is what we have the drool towels for, in real life we're harmless. Promise. Although you look mighty fine.
-TeeJay
A superhero.... well..... Okay, so he could maybe be able to..... uh...... <thinks hard>
... be able to move very fast, like at the speed of light or something. Or do the X-Men Kurt Wagner thing. Where he just disappears in a whisp of smoke and appears elsewhere in a split second. Would that be over the top for The 4400?
Oh, I also uploaded a clip of Sean on the latest episode. Check out the Eric & Sean section in About Chris. Don't have the link handy right now.
-TeeJay
Yeah, he should take a break and finally have time to sit down and thoroughly check out our website.
Oh, and btw... was it just me, or did he look like he was quite well tanned? Not the skinny and pale Adam look... He looked very yummy, not only because of the tan. Can't wait to see him all buffed up, when he finally finishes Nerds and hopefully goes back to the gym to go all baseball-booty on us, like he said he was planning to. (Yes, I'm feeling naughty tonight.) ![]()
-TeeJay
Well, Deb, we have sizes like S, M, L, XL and XXL too over here, ya know?
But if you can get a shirt for Sean, cool, then I don't to have to bother looking. I'm sure I won't be able to get one for under 10 EUR, but that would be okay too. Sean did so much for us, I'd happily pay that.
-TeeJay
Any color preference, Sean? I think I still have some iron-on transfer paper lying around, I can totally use that. I should be a light color, though. Like light blue, light green, light pink (haha), ...
Also, e-mail me your address, because I'd kinda need that to send it to you. You want the same design Deb has? I can make you something different, if you let me know what you have in mind.
-TeeJay
Okay, Deb and I finished our trip report diary thing of our adventures on Monday and Tuesday and I uploaded it to the site. Go to the About Chris section and then click on Meeting Chris. You'll find everything there. Deb is still working on the second part of the interview, stay tuned, we're gonna get there.
I also posted the sound clips from part 1 of the interview in the Media - Sounds section, as well as part 1 of the interview in the About Chris - Interviews section. Have fun! ![]()
-TeeJay
When we talked to Chris on Tuesday, he indeed confirmed that Calvin hasn't been shot yet and that it probably will be early next year, like Gary said. And he's still interested in playing Calvin, if he doesn't have other projects lined up during that time. We really hope it'll happen.
And just for the record, Chris also said he likes baseball but sucks at it. He's more of a soccer guy.
-TeeJay
Here's more caps of Sean on The 4400 episode 3x13:
http://www.chris-marquette.com/gallery/ … p?album=72
-TeeJay
As I'm going through the s3 finale of The 4400 to see where I can spot Sean, I was thinking: Wouldn't it be fun to have Chris guest star on The 4400 too? Maybe they could even battle each other. Sean on the one side with the Nova Group and Chris with NTAC and the good guys, hunting him down. Wouldn't that be interesting?
If I find Sean, I'll upload caps and vidcaps later. He should be in that ep somewhere.
-TeeJay
Well, it's real easy if you have t-shirt transfer ink-jet printing paper, a lightly colored t-shirt and an iron. That's how we did it. I could make you one real easy, Sean, but then I would need to have a t-shirt that fits you...
Or get your t-shirt size and have one printed. I'd totally do that, after all you did for us. Because I honestly believe that without that Fanboys t-shirt, we wouldn't have had all those great experiences. We might still have been able to get to Chris, but people would not have been coming walking up to us like that.
-TeeJay
