I'm so sorry Deb!  All I can say that I'm praying for you and your little kitty.

#978 Re: Square Eyes » Lost » 30 Oct 10 :: 02:05

love it Deb! Always been a fan of Matthew Fox!  I hope he gets another series. I think he does better in tv than movies to be honest!  I didn't know that he, or Dean Cain played football!  craziness!

#979 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 28 Oct 10 :: 04:31

aww, that is a bummer.  I'll double check the dates.  Our IB planner said it would be the weekend of the 27th, but that's a Wednesday.  I need to confirm if its the weekend before or after.

#980 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 28 Oct 10 :: 03:42

IT's the last weekend in January.  i haven't been since middle school. It will be nice to revisit some sites if there is time!

He's in Howl right now playing Allen Ginsburgh.  The preview looks really good!

aww so sorry deb! Praying for your little one!  It's so hard when animals are sick!

I found out i'm going to L.A. in january for training!  I hear the training is great & helpful and not too overwhelming  of a schedule so there should be a little afternoon time to site see.

I don't think I've seen a thread started for this so I thought I would! Been a big fan since season one, seen it through its ups and downs.  Now that steve carrell is saying goodbye this season, I think the writers are pulling out all stops because its been hillarious!  Reminds me more again fo what seasons 1 and 2 felt like!  Glad steve is leaving on a high note right now.

Thanks deb!  I'm excited about his new horror movie in production "Cabin in the Woods" with Fran Kranz from Dollhouse.  Apparently it will be in 3D as all horror movies are now!

#985 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 24 Oct 10 :: 22:30

way to go! speeches are hard.  Put me in front of a group of kids and I can teach anything, but a presentation in front of my colleague, no thanks!

Just one more day of weekend please!  They go by so fast!

#986 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 24 Oct 10 :: 20:52

So I know this isn't Buffy / Angel related but it's Joss Whedon related. Maybe we could change the thread title to Joss Whedon appreciation? smile big_smile

I was a big dollhouse fan and found this on Fran Kranz twitter page today.  Maurissa Tancheron and Jed Whedon wrote a song for the 1st season finale and they did a music video that's now number 17 on itunes download.  Here's the link to the article and video:

welcome to the board!  Nice to meet you, looking forward to reading more posts! smile

#988 Re: Square Eyes » The Social Network » 24 Oct 10 :: 01:04

Boy A is just alright. They previewed that soooo many times in the theater and it was kind of a let down, but he is awesome in it.  I recently saw him in "Never Let Me Go" with Kiera Knightly and Carrey Mulligan.  Definately check out that movie instead.  Its about organ donation.  Really interesting movie.  Great acting.

Scott Pilgrim is really great.  I loved it, definately worth checking out in the theaters.  It wins lots of points for creativity and for just being fun.  Can't wait to see it again on dvd, I definately want to check out the comics.  I'm really a nerd deep down.

That's kind of frightening in a way!  amazing picture.

#990 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 24 Oct 10 :: 00:58

I'm reading a book on Joan of Arc right now written actually by Mark Twain.  Not the biggest fan of his but this book is interesting.  Non-Fiction, he spent 12 years researching it France.  It's alright, definately gives you a deeper look into who Joan is, but I like our Joan version better! smile

#991 Re: All About Chris » If Chris Could Play Any Role... » 24 Oct 10 :: 00:52

Whether we think he's good or bad Shia's gotta be doing something right because he's getting big roles!  Most of his movies are entertaining, no matter the caliber of acting.  Same with Pattinson, although watching "Remember Me," I think he's got a good fortune ahead of him outside of Twilight! smile

Chris, he would have been good on the Pacific or Band of Brothers role too I think.  Any war film, I could see him as a benevolent soldier.

Congratulations!  Treat yourself to some down time!

Can someone please tell my why they cast Sheephead LaPoof in Wall Street? I saw the trailer some time ago and I actually think that role would have been perfect for Chris. Not just because I strongly dislike Sheepheed. It's just ... I had this weird experience of seeing Chris's head instead of Sheephead's ,,, I mean, that does mean something, right? *sigh*

Sheephead LaPoof. big_smile That's great!

I agree. Wall Street hasn't gotten great reviews. I would have rather seen Chris in Social Network.  Would have been perfect for him!

Loved it.  Scared me even though it was only 3 minutes! The girl that played the main lead looked exactly like a girl I went to college with!

Deb, loved your commente on Thule board about Chris as the main lead in infestation smile This is one of my favorites! I really just need to buy it! So in an infestation mood now!

#1000 Re: Square Eyes » The Social Network » 13 Oct 10 :: 03:49

I did go see this again and enjoyed it even the second time around!  caught a lot more as there was a brawl in the middle of the movie when I saw it the first time.  Knew I shouldn't have gone to see it at that theater! :doh: Something always happens there.  I actually enjoyed seeing it again, kept up with its speed and hype and I could focus on the dialogue more.

Happy watching everyone! smile
