Deb: I love Journey! I bet that was a blast.

Samsy: sounds intense! Love it though.  How was Alice in Wonderland?

I was just watching "Ear Shot" on LOGO.  I remembered they cancelled an episode when Columbine happened.  I believe this was suppose to come out the week that it happened and because of its nature they cancelled the episode and didn't play it until later.  Is that right Deb or did they just cancel the show in general that week?  I thought you might know.   Its a great episode though - the one were she gets superpower of reading people's minds from the deamon and hears someone saying that all the students would be dead the next day.

lol  he definately looks good in this one too.  I can understandhow you feel about chick flicks, i don't really care for them either.  I wouldn't necessarily put this movie in that category- even my 65 year old dad enjoyed it!

Girl Next Door is a GREAT movie.

Witner Rose is gorgeous!  Congratulations!

I'm so glad I did nothing for spring break.  On the whim I decided to go see "RAIN - a tribute to the Beatles" at our music hall and it was so much fun that it made up for me doing nothing all break.  Its incredibly good and fun.  If it comes to your area I'd highly recommend it.  I'm still singing beatles songs today smile  It feels like going to a live Beatles concert & the actors are amazing, sound exactly like them, play like them and have their same performance quirks.

#1080 Re: Square Eyes » "Remember Me" - New Movie » 18 Mar 10 :: 15:27

Don't think of it as a Rob Pattinson movie, open up your mind a little bit.  It's hard to see him outside of twilight & even the way he comes across in some of his interviews.  its definately not like Twlight or anything else he's done.  He shows a lot of range and vulnerability in this moive.  I was really quite impressed.  Plus it has a lot of other great cast members including Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper.  All give great performances.

It is definately something to be seen in the theaters because of the emotional siuation that happens in the end.

Deb:  It is more than your average love story if I were to tell you what happens it will completely give it away and I think its better not knowing to be honest.  The best way to describe it is a movie about valuing human life and  to share what you have now with each other.  If you want I could email you the other details.  I didn't know if ithere is a way to black out spoilers here....

Samsy, glad its comming to your theater!  I bet the script was really interesting.

It's a little dramatic and drawn out in some places but I think that's typical of this genre, especially in the indie love stories.

Seems like a lot of loss in the past few days - Pray for everyone and their families.

Glad that Lysa is doing better!

It's on my list of dvds to buy.  Eventually it will happen!

Agree with you Samsy.   Almost couldn't recognize her in twlight!  By the way, American Gun is playing tomorrow on the IFC channel, in the morning, and at night.

#1084 Re: Square Eyes » FlashForward » 15 Mar 10 :: 20:20

Flash Forward comes back on the air tomorrow, March 16th.  They released the first 10 episodes early on dvd that I thought was interesting.  But you can still see them for free on ABC.  http://abc.go.com/shows/flash-forward

The new movie with Robert Pattinson and Emilie de Ravin.   Its really quite good actually. I was pleasantly suprised by Pattinson in this one. A complete diverson from his twilight roles and he did an excellent  job.  Without giving too much away I'd describe it as a love story but a lot more than that.  Has anyone seen it yet?  I'd recommend it, even for non Twilight fans

You can see a trailer and more info from their website:  http://rememberme-movie.com/

I agree with your take on Infestation.  Taking it as it is, just a fun sci-fi, Saturday night horror flick is perfect for its genre.  I really agree too with the comedy aspect.  Chris did a great job and there were some great ad libs by him as well in the film.  I still really enjoyed it.  I hope to see it again sometime but there is just a long list of movies for me to watch!

Deb, that action shot of Chris with the shot gun makes me drool every time! :drool: What a great pic! smile

It is the Open Road Deb, here is the link to imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1007018/    Just for reference.

The hurt Locker appeared on dvd and in theater the same time in Texas.

A big happy birthday to him.  He deserves one after the fantastic year in movies he had this year!

I didn't know they had a movie together. Have to check it out.

Very compassionate statement.  I like how Feldman mentions how we should treat others in the world while they are still here.  Very true.  Very sad to see him gone.

3 days until spring break. lesson plans are done! Means more relaxation time.

Deb, the superhusky is adorable! emailing it to my brother.  That's the type of dog I want!

#1094 Re: Square Eyes » 2010 Oscars » 10 Mar 10 :: 02:48

Love the "Kanye" comment about the director for documentary short. I felt bad for him too!

I'll have to read Alec's blog later.  I did think they were a good match together.  What did you think about Neil Patrick Harris' opening?  Wasn't as good as the emmies, but still love him!

The John Hughes tribute almost made me tear up.  Especially when Macaulley Culkin's speech.  It seemed from what he said John was more of a father to him than his own parents really.  That's what I got anyways.

What about Sandra Bullock's win?  I was happy to see that follow through although like I said I was secretly pulling for Carrie Mulligan for An Education even though I knew she wasn't going to get it!  All the awards were very predictable indeed.

I thought it interesting when Tom Hanks came out and said that the last time they had 10 movies nominated, Casablanca won best picture.  Based on that statement alone it was apparent that Hurt Locker would get best picture.

#1095 Re: Square Eyes » 2010 Oscars » 08 Mar 10 :: 07:07

I know! It was a very exciting night, especially for the Hurt Locker.  I was really keeping my fingers crossed for An Education even though I knew it wasn't going to win. For females its an important story and was very subtle.  Carrie Mulligan was fabulous too in it.  I was glad Jeff Bridges and Sandra Bullock both won.  Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin did a fantastic job.

Here is a list of winners:  http://www.imdb.com/

Time to go to bed now!:)

#1096 Re: Square Eyes » 2010 Oscars » 08 Mar 10 :: 01:07

I love netflix too. Couldn't survive without it.  Did you hear the producer of the Hurt Locker is banned from attending this years academy awards because they strongly urged the baord members of the academy to nominate their film! Craziness. Everyone knows you can't do that!

#1097 Re: Square Eyes » Jason Ritter/Parenthood » 07 Mar 10 :: 05:47

I haven't watched it yet but I like the cast. I'll stick with it for Lauren Graham, I was always a fan of the Gilmore Girls.

Love the pics TeeJay.  Nikki Reed and Chris were cute together in that movie. A believable teen couple.
