I just started re-weatching 24 so I'll be happy to see her on it! Thanks for letting us know.

#1152 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 19 Jan 10 :: 16:41

It's a fun movie to watch.  I wouldn't mind owning it either, Deb, did you find it holds up the more you watch it?

I think Kyle in the dvd commentary said he wants to make a sequal someday.  I wonder if that's in the works.

#1153 Re: Square Eyes » Life Unexpected » 17 Jan 10 :: 20:11

I didn' realize that she was in ER. I kind of quit watching that towards like season 5.  Thanks for letting me know that, I'll have to check it out!

Just sent you an email Deb. Hope it downloads alright.

#1155 Re: Chris On Screen » Infestation (SPOILERS FOR THE MOVIE BEGIN ON PAGE 15) » 17 Jan 10 :: 20:09

I woke up having a hankering to see this movie. I don't know what that says of me as a person to want to watch a scary movie at the start of the day! big_smile  I should probably buy it, if that's going to be the case!

I searched through the apartment AND my cellar room three times and it's just GONE ... somehow I'm beginning to think that this Cecilia Ahern novel I am currently reading is true ... there IS a place where the lost things go. Check under the bed and random places where you place junk like in the closet or I sometimes put things in the bathroom because i've ran out of cabinet spaces! smile  Good luck! I know that's an uneasy feeling.  Once you quit looking for it, that's when you'll find it.  That always seems to be the case for me!

Still waiting to here from my job interview a few weeks ago. Got offered a job substitute teaching, but I'd prefer the other position if offered. It's an actually teaching position, part time, but teaching.  It's no fun being unemployed. I'm more anxious with nothing to do than with lots to do!

I'm excited to see Shiri Appleby back in something. I was a big Roswell fan.  Looks like it will be interesting.  Full of teen angst as most CW shows are! big_smile  That's okay though.

#1160 Re: Square Eyes » Amber Tamblyn » 17 Jan 10 :: 01:14

Hey Deb I finished it! I'm just going to re-listen to the part i did today later on and then the whole thing one more time to make sure and then I'll email it to you tomorrow afternoon or evening.  Is that okay?  You should probably look over it to of course, to have a fresh pair of eyes to make sure I didn't miss anything!

Hey Deb! I'm into 20minutes on the interview.  I don't know how much is left but I think I'm about half way there.  Just letting you know!

I always loved how 'Hush' got Joss an emmy even though there is no dialogue in half the episode.  That is one of my favorite ones!

I know! I saw Mae on Arested Development! I never noticed it was her! She plays 'Anne" if you watched the show.

Love the calendar smile Very excited!  He does tend to point a lot! big_smile I especially love the image from 'Infestation.'

#1166 Re: Square Eyes » Welcome to the Whedonverse (Buffy/Angel/Etc Appreciation) » 12 Jan 10 :: 16:10

That does sound like a blast. I've always wanted to go to those type of conventions but don't have anyone nerdy enough to go with me.  THey are having another Buffy reunion in LA this year in November, next fall.  I want to go, but hopefully I won't be able to go (I want a full time teaching job next year)! lol  Sounds like fun though.

I'll have to check out Amber's other stuff.  I'd personally like to see a solo album, I don't know if she already has that in the works though.  I was watching 'Hush' last night.  ITs amazing how much Tara changes from Hush to later seasons.

I'm always trapped in Whedon verse whether it be Angel, Firefly, Buffy or now Dollhouse.  Seems I can't get enough of it!

The Unusuals was cancelled last year after 10 episodes. We're apparently gonna get those first 10 episodes on DVD, but that's it. Darn shame, I really enjoyed the show. It would have definitely deserved more than a lousy half season.

I just emailed you Deb. Let me know how I can help.

I agree Teejay. I liked all the cast members besides Amber too.  I also liked the NYPD Blue feel to the show.  Oh well, I guess it just came out at the wrong time and couldn't compete with the other new shows.  Such a shame! Definately deserved more of a chance.  It was nice to see her back on tv. I feel thats more of her genre. I like her on movies but I guess since I loved Joan so much I prefer her roles on television.

#1168 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Joan weekly on SyFy » 12 Jan 10 :: 15:59

That is an intersting observation.  I always found that odd and awkward.  Joan was trying to fit in somewhere where she didn't quite belong.  God definately had other plans for her! wink

Boys and girls, I gotta reach out for help.  You know what this website needs?  A secretary.  For now, I really need a temp.  Due to a multitude of regrettable circumstances, I have not been able to finish the transcript of my interview with Amber.  And it bugs me to no end that we haven't gotten it posted yet.  There just aren't enough hours in the day for me.  So... if anyone's bored, or wants the very first listen to this interview, I would be eternally grateful for help finishing the transcription.  Drop me an email and we can discuss it.

If you would still like some help I'd pitch in. Just let me know what exactly needs to be done! smile

Also, do we know if the Unusuals is getting picked up or completely dropped off the face of the earth?  I actually enjoyed it.

I understand Deb.  I remember hearing the dvd commentary on Tara and how Amber Benson didn't want to come back for her fans sake.  I thought Cassie did a reasonable job though.  Did you know Amber Benson is an author and has two or three books out?  A new one to be released next month.  Looks like they are along the same theme of Buffy. Titles are Death's Daughter and the new release one is called Cat's Claw.  She has a page on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Amber-Benson/e/B0 … =sr_tc_2_0

#1172 Re: Joan of Arcadia » "Lieutenant Lucy Preston" » 11 Jan 10 :: 22:52

She did play  her really well and I agree that her character was meant to stir up the relationship between Will and Helen and break to try to break up the family a bit.

What I may have done is exacerbate my carpal tunnel badly, yes.  I felt a kind of pop.  And now I can't turn my wrist in certain directions without pain.  But far worse pain than normal carpal tunnel. So what scares me is that I may have torn something, or it could be a tiny stress fracture.  It hurts THAT bad.  The brace was making it worse.  I just bought an ACE bandage at the store and that feels much better.  But picking up groceries, pushing the cart, loading and unloading, putting them away, even using a knife and fork on my lunch just about killed me.

Sometimes cold weather makes achees and paines worse.  My knee that I had surgery on always swells or aches when it is rainy or cold.  Weird reactions but its known to happen to others too.  Put a heating pad or hot towel around it for ten minutes.  Heat is better for pain where as cold is better for reducing swelling.  Hope you feel better!

Work on Sundays should not be allowed - granted its just for a few hours but its always hard to get the energy to go.

Hope the snow lightens up for you guys Samsy!

Yea they are high.  I got all seasons of Angel for close to $100 off of ebay.  Lucky for me they were in good condition. The Holz line is a good one.

Why not Buffy season 7?  There were some great episodes in that one.  Converseations with Dead People comes to mind and I love Storyteller (I think that's the name of the episode) where Tome Lenke's character (forgot his name) is narrating what's happening to the camera. :D Plus Nathan fillion! hehe...
