Me too.
I think I'll stick with Butterflies instead of thinking anymore about the tragedy following Joan's death because it is just far too sad.
Just imagine what that would do to Adam. Chances are they'd pull a Joss Whedon (Angel: A Hole In The World) and kill her right after Joan and Adam had reached some sort of amends. But then again maybe I've just been watching too many Whedon creations.
I think I'd have to be put on a lot of strong medications to get me over those if I saw those in person.
Now I something to watch. I haven't had anything interesting to watch in this timeslot since JoA was cancelled, so yay!:)
I think everyone was dying. When they said Klose had scored I was so upset that I had missed it. But thankfully they have replays.
I'm so glad that Germany has made a comeback.
They lost signal 3 times here. It was awful. And Turkey sure put up a fight didn't they?
I've been rooting for the Netherlands and Germany. But I guess now I'm only rooting for Germany.
I voted for you as well.
I agree mshaffer was far too nitpicky on that one. Obviously he got it, so I don't see why he made such a big deal about it. ![]()
You're not the only bitter one, though.
Honestly, it didn't even dawn on me until I read that comment. Maybe Joan was going to ride with Luke but he kept wanting to talk about it so she decided the bus was a better idea. I can totally see Joan riding the bus around town for awhile to get away from her family, so don't worry, to me it's logical.
:applause: That was great guys. I have to admit I was a little worried when you mentioned Bonnie content. And I won't spoil anyone. But I loved this chapter. Their return to high school was truly a good read. Okay, enough of my gushing.:P
Some more pictures. ![]()

A mutual disgust. Their reactions are pretty funny.

Look at his face. Aw.

Not really Adam/Joan but I'm sure you guys won't mind.

It's a shame that that kiss wasn't in a different episode because it just innerved me in that scene. Then again Trial and Error makes me cringe.
Some more for you guys.
I realized today that I never filled this out. Oops.
What's the first thing your ever saw Chris in?
Actually it was 7th Heaven, although I never really truly noticed him until Joan of Arcadia.
What's your favorite thing he's done so far?
Joan of Arcadia, although I haven't seen everything that he's been in otherwise. Just Friends was really good as well.
What's your favorite scene in that movie/show?
I have to pick just one? Wow. Well, he was amazing throughout Jump, especially the scene where Helen reads his mother's letter to him.
Who's your favorite Chris character and why?
Adam. Because before his out of character experience he wasn't just another teenage boy character. He had depth, he was sweet, and he always made me swoon over him.
Do you remember the first time you Googled Chris? What site did you land on?
His IMDB, I think.
What were you looking for when you found our website or how else did you stumble across it?
I think I was looking for Joan of Arcadia screencaps. I lurked for a while until TJ convinced me to sign up.
What role in what movie --- any movie --- past, present or potential would you love to see Chris play?
Nothing really comes to mind. I would like to see Day the Dead Weren't Dead if it were ever to become a movie. I'm not holding out hope for it, but the "trailer" was funny.
Seen any Chris movies in a theatre?
Just one, The Invisible.
Own any Chris movies?
I would like to own Just Friends. Right now I only have the Joan of Arcadia DVDs.
Have anything special recorded off TV?
No, sadly.
What do you like most about Chris?
His amazing acting ability. His appearance sure doesn't hurt though (I can't name just one feature).
If you could ask Chris one question, what would you ask?
Do you have any of Chris's lines that you can quote off the top of your head?
"Fo shizzle my nizzle"
"I don't like perky, this you know."
"You said detain!"
"I tried yo, it didn't stick."
Have you met Chris in person? If so, tell us about it.
No, I haven't.
If you could have him autograph one item or photo, what would you pick and why?
Joan of Arcadia Season 2. It showed really wonderful acting on his part.
What would you want to see Chris doing next out of these?
a) a very dark and suspenseful thriller
b) a sitcom
c) a quirky and/or romantic comedy
d) a horror movie
e) a drama TV show
f) an action movie
g) a dramatic movie
h) a medical or cop show
i) a theater play
j) something else entirely (if so, what?)
f, just because I've never seen him in an action movie or d, one in which the other actors can act as well.
After looking at all the posts on the Fanboys IMDB I was surprised that anyone would even pretend to prefer the non-cancer version.
It seems like all logical reasoning is being attacked. I voiced my opinion on there, a few minutes ago, although I'm sure my opinion will be torn apart and attacked. I wish they'd just let us voice our opinions like they have been so avidly complaining about. ![]()
I have to agree with some of the posters here. I really wasn't fond of Judith, except for a select few scenes (like the one with Adam in POV) where she showed that she actually cared about the people around her. However, I never really connected with the character. I, like some others, only really responded to the other characters reactions to her death. It was one of the only times in the show that Friedman showed a side of him that was above his normal role as annoyance of the group.
I thought Sprague was wonderful in this. She did a really good job at acting, even though there were a lot of moments where I found Judith frustrating.
If we go by the episode dates, Judith died the day after the anniversary of the death of Adam's mother. Maybe that's why he was so jerk-like and left Joan at the hospital? Either way, I felt he redeemed himself at the end of the episode.
I liked it too. When the video first started I realized that the song was in the Sims 2. Which explains why, I had never heard the actual lyrics. The song fits them well. Good job.
I just rewatched this episode. This was such a powerful episode. I really can't help but feel sorry for Friedman, somewhere along the way he seemed to have formed some genuine feelings for Judith. I like that it added another side to his character.
As for Judith, I hate that just when she becomes more likeable she dies. I love that she tried to fix all the destruction she caused between Adam and Joan. That one line of hers in the series still bothers me the "Maybe your relationship is based in crisis. You know, like, if you don't have a problem to deal with, you have no real connection". Grr.
Back to Friday Night, Chris is so adorable throughout this episode although I too hate the part where Adam says that he would like his steak prepared in a pan. It made him seem stupid. Their kiss at the end of their date is so sweet. It sucks that they only got to be happy for a short period of time.
When Adam yells at Judith in the hospital, the lecture kind of resembles when Joan yells at him later on in Trial and Error. It's weird that he would yell at someone for doing something stupid then go do something just as stupid later on, it doesn't make sense to me. I do like the lines when he goes to see Joan at her house like the "I know and I don't know why that doesn't matter".
I just watched The Devil Made Me Do It again today. Did anyone else notice that even though when Adam was obviously angry at Joan when she tried to explain herself, that he still let her catch attention (by grabbing his arm while he was walking alway)?
I liked that it was so unlike every other time anyone else tried to touch him. Kevin for example fell out of his chair when he tried to grab Adam. Also, he always seemed to look at anyone else's hands when they touched him in a 'why are you touching me' kind of thing.
In Bringeth It On, in another scene with Joan he looked at her hand when she touched him, but was shocked and stumbled over his lines. He made no move to stop her, which made me love them as a pairing.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but has anyone else noticed those completely Adam mannerisms?
I'd like to also point out that Luke noticed God on at least one other occasion, in 'Recreation' when God takes the form of the cashier and asks if she invited Adam to the party. You'd think that the people in Joan's live would take notice of God, since she talks to Him/Her so much and often leaves her friends to do so.
Also, I always thought it was weird that God always gave her hints about Adam, like he indeed was trying to get Adam to fufill a bigger purpose. Maybe I'm just reading too much into things.
Again, I find myself wishing that I had more to go on than just speculation and fanfiction, but I guess they are alot better than nothing.
Hello everyone. I just joined the forum, although I have been wandering for quite a while.
