Who gave Joan her first kiss? wink

#1302 Re: Joan of Arcadia » Random JoA Stuff... » 28 Dec 08 :: 23:01

Yeah, I agree with Anne. Chris wouldn't be Edward. But if there ever was a southern vampire.. Hey maybe he'd do a good Peter? big_smile That was the name of the vamp that Jasper ran away from Maria with, right? Ran away from Maria.. WHYYYYYYY? :doh: What did I do.....?

Um, sorry for my recent floading and bad jokes. :embarrassed: I haven't eaten much today.. and too much coffee.. Low blood sugar and I think I'm a bit dehydrated.. I think I just saw my brain fly out the window.... Well, I'm off now. Stop embarassing myself.. check another episode of JOA and eat some chicken...:rolleyes:

You just gave me a great reason to see this film: :applause: I didn't know what to think of it. Looked kinda good in the trailer and on Imdb but didn't really get what it was all about. I was gonna give it a chance as a DVD because of great casting...

I'm done shopping! I won't go again until next summer, I'm sick of it. I had to go thru four stores before I found one shirt that looked good and was on my size. And then I looked for some bra's and undies. I bought D-cup for the first time and still it was too small. I think their focusgroup looks about those models on their windows... I wish I had loads of money.. I'd do plasticsurgery and get some smaller boobs.. and straighten my nose.. But for now: back to mailorder-shopping. Fits better my needs and preferences... big_smile

I'm trying to convert another Twilighter wink I went to the bookstore and bought Twilight in finnish for my niece. I think she would love it if she just took the time to read it. She's all about boys, boys, boys. lol We just got backhome from the mall. All they did there was to check out guys. roll And now they went walking 2km to check out boys on a ABC-station (gas station + cafe open 24/7). Was it very wise of me to let them there.. They were talking about hitchging a ride back here... They were changing tops to something sexier and all; like they were 10 years older and going clubing. lol

#1312 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 27 Dec 08 :: 15:17

I've got two 13 year old girls visiting us this weekend. I just gave them 40Euros (56.2378 USD; niece's bd + christmas-pressie) and the hubby drove them to the mall on his way to the other side of the border. Later I'll join the gigglers and go shopping too. big_smile To the mall and across to Sweden. There's this huge candystore next to Ikea. tongue Maybe I'll have time for some stores even I haven't visited yet. There's like 20 new ones in the Twincity-area. I'm not really a shoppaholic so... roll But now I kinda feel like shopping a bit. Not much, a bit. Thus why I had the hubby drive them in advance.. big_smile The girls looked like they were bored.

I just picked them up from the trainstation last night around 9pm. Had to drive about 50km to get them. Bad driving weather. I was naughty. I like freaking out people (especially teenagers) driving with me telling them how I don't know how to do everything right. lol And I actually lost my way for a while. Turned on the wrong crossroads and ended up on a unformilliar neighbourhood. It was a little detour but lasted only a while. big_smile Little excitement! wink I don't wanna be a boring aunt. lol

#1313 Re: Off Topic Stuff » merry christmas ! » 25 Dec 08 :: 15:33

Oh, I'm sorry Anne. *hugsie* You can come to us next year! big_smile The more the merrier! Good food and company quaranteed. wink How does this sound to you.. Christmas eve with my inlaws (you even get to sit on Santa's lap if you want to big_smile ), then a few cozy days with us. Then a road trip up north. We could stop at the Arctic circle and go to the Christmassy-amusementpark there and see what else is there (I've always wanted to try). Then even further up north in the middle of Lapland, where I was born. Stay at my dad's house, drive my Godfather's snowmobile, maybe put a sledge behind it and take a little ride, burn some sausages on a campfire (another finnish thing). Then more good food; my dad makes this awesome deer rost. tongue On new year's eve we can watch the fireworks compete with The Northern lights, of course the fireworks loose. lol Heck, I'll even find you some reindeers to look at. Or probably don't even have to look for, they're all over the roads..

So... How about it? wink I just listed a few things I haven't done myself in years. It would be great excuse for doing them if I had a friend to go with. big_smile

#1315 Re: Off Topic Stuff » merry christmas ! » 24 Dec 08 :: 19:55

Merry, merry Christmas to you all. big_smile

We kinda had our celebrations already. We finns are hasty people. We eat the christmasfood on the 24th and Santa came knocking, sat down (only my middle kid dared to sat on his lap) and gave out presents. Then Santa left and we opened them all and spent some time together. That's pretty much the finnish Christmas tradition. Plus the family sauna before dinner.

Our Chrstmas this year was at JTT's sisters place. We just got home. I'm exhausted! And covered in purple. I got a purpple robe and warm slippers. And a box of chocolates and a curling iron. Pretty much what I wanted. Hubby has been paying attention for once! big_smile I'm dazzled! It was so nice watching the kids open their presents. And I got a Shiatsu massage thingy for the hubby. Everybody tried it out. lol Pretty much everything was a success. Even the number of presents was just great. Not over-the-top like the last few years. smile

So really, this was a very good Christmas for us. big_smile

#1316 Re: Square Eyes » Twilight (contains spoilers for all books and the movies) » 24 Dec 08 :: 19:46

I saw some new pics of Rob on TM's. He's cut his hair! yikes http://www.itmommy.info/2008/12/robert- … obert.html
And someone pointed out that he kinda looks like Jake Gyllenhaal now and I have to agree. Kinda sad and I wonder if it will grow back to Edward-length by New moon shooting. Atleast the chinline will never change.. :drool: I'm all about the chinline. big_smile I can't decide whitch one has the best one Rob or Chris...

#1317 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 23 Dec 08 :: 00:19

Sorry Simon. :doh: Lots of that going around everywhere. Not with me though. A miraculous exception to my "two weeks in flu-two weeks healthy-two weeks in flu-and so on" - rhythm. Must be all the vitamins I've been taking lately. big_smile And even remembered to take them everyday. I highly recommend... wink

I just wrapped about 20 gifts (no papercuts so no bloodhungry vampires lurking anywhere.. wink ). About 4-5 to each of my own kids and one for my nephews and niece and Godson. I still have to get one for my other Godson and hubby and some other people. JTT's sister said we shouldn't buy presents for her and her hubby and all their kids; just one for our Godson, their youngest. But I can't do that. I just can't leave anyone without or I'll feel awful, especially with their other kids. roll I don't give a crap if they didn't get anything for me or all my kids. I'm not counting. I just like giving...

Hope you get better soon, Simon; you too Tina. *huggie* Drink a lot of warm drinks and so on. You know the drill. big_smile I hope you have someone to take care of you. I'm sure someone lovely is gonna visit you in dreamland; dressed in a cute little nurse's alphet and all! wink

Merry Chrstmas everyone! big_smile And happy New year! Anyone making any resolutions? wink

I'm going with the traditional "I'll loose some weight"... :silly: I really oughta get myself healthy now. Sick and tired of always being sick and tired... roll

I really loved those pictures of Chris in this thread. big_smile I'd like a calendar of him for next year big_smile

#1319 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 21 Dec 08 :: 16:30

Great article. big_smile Nice man. I would have done the same thing. Of course there would have been a short moment of inner battle but in the end, I couldn't take someone else's money. I'd torment myself with it for the rest of my life...

How was your weekend, everyone? big_smile

My friday's night out was a bust, yesterday I was sleeping every moment I could. Last night a friend of mine came visit us. She spent the night and today we went shopping in our new mall and then in Ikea on the other side of the borderline. So nice to live here. I can go visit another country and don't even need to stop on the borderline. big_smile My friend is kinda shoppaholic so the whole trip took us three hours (and she thought that was a short shopping trip... I hate shopping...). My feet are killing me. Thank God I didn't put on my high heals! big_smile

Now my friend has left and I just made us dinner. JTT is playing online again and I get to sit here all rest of the day. I don't even have to clean; he did it all while we were shopping. big_smile Relaxation is all I have to do tonight. big_smile Tomorrow I think I'll have to go shop a few more presents. I still haven't got anything for JTT and I think we should give something to his mom and brothers too. I'll shop for my own far-away relatives after christmas. They'll be coming this way then.. My niece is gonna stay with us 26th-29th. She had a birthday on the 17th. I've promissed her a joined birthday-christmas-present as a shoppingtrip too the mall. big_smile Teenaged girls like that, right?

#1320 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 20 Dec 08 :: 09:58

Oh my head... sad I'll never drink again.. roll I think this just might be the worst hangover-headache I've ever had.. Well, atleast I'm not feeling nausea. No hugging the toiletseat. big_smile I just took another aspirin. JTT was a dear and gave me one before he left with the daughter to her christmas party at school. They had kinda short warning for that one. I wanted to go but I couldn't move without feeling my head was gonna burst. So weird that I have a hangover.. I never get hangovers.. roll I didn't even had that much fun. Well, atleast I met one interesting person. smile

Vote for TwilighT! wink

Which Movie Romance Is the Best of 2008? Vote for: Bella and Edward (Twilight) (or don't; they're winning anyways big_smile )

Who Is the Sexiest Group of 2008? Vote for: Twilight Boys — Vampires and werewolves never looked so good. (Or they'll lose to Jonas brothers)!

I have to try to take some naps today. I usually can't fall asleep in daytime (and avoid it so I wouldn't sabotace my nights...) but lately I've been having so much sleep depth I've fallen assleep sitting up a few times. roll Oh, by the way, that's not good for my back... When my youngest was a baby he had some rough nights for a long period and sometimes I often slept half the night sitting up on a couch, holding him.. and felt it my back. kinda still do...
The reason I WANT to be napping today is because I slept about five hours last night and that wasn't even peaceful sleep. (The youngest one again... What's up with him again.. ) Sorry. Rambling again.. I WANT to be napping because tonight I'm going out with my friend A. She's turned into a partygirl now keeps asking me. I don't exactly want to go drinking and partying but I want to spend some more time with her and she keeps asking me so... I'm sure it will be fun. I just hope she isn't taking pictures again... My eyes are puffy again.. wouldn't turn out good.. And makeup would just make that even worse so I'm not doing that. Don't like it anyways.. I would like to get some pictures of me redhaired (for FB, I don't look like myself in those pictures there..) but not with these eyes...

God, what a ramble this was.. I think I'm still half-asleep. It's 7.50 am and my girl just left for school. Boys still asleep. I think I'll try some napping right now...

#1323 Re: Off Topic Stuff » Randomness » 17 Dec 08 :: 11:47

Yes, white christmas is wonderful. I found a new appreciation for it a couple of years back when we had a snowless christmas (just a little over 100km south from the arctic circle!!! yikes ) and it felt so dark and gloomy. It's so dark around here anyways in this time of year. I kept saying everyone that's the global warming. Everybody just rolled their eyes at me. They wanna close their eyes from such redicilous things. Or hope that not talking about them makes them go away. That's finns for ya.

We had a little snowblizard yesterday. It started when we were at the theater. Suddenyly it felt really cold in there. Drawty. And when the movie ended and we went out my hair was flying around my head and this freazing cold wind blew in my face and put snow at my eyes. The wind can get pretty crazy in this town. So close to the sea and then there's the river that come all the way up north. So if the wind blows from north (the river) or south (the sea) we're freazing our butts out. And it kinda doubles the cold.
And yeah, I was happy I wasn't the one driving the car when JTT came pick us up from the theater..

Um... I was naughty.. :embarrassed: I found a good version on Mininova... I just couldn't wait anymore... I've now seen it three times and I was pretty disapointed on the first time but it keeps getting better the more times I see it. lol I think I'm not gonna feel bad about being naughty on this one. I'm still gonna see it in the theater and I think this sneak peaking is gonna help me enjoy the theater experience more. big_smile

I hope this isn't really a spoiler...
It's kinda explained in BD. Charlie just doesn't want too much information. he's so cool about it all.
